Perfect”

It’s a little off the beach, which was great for me. That meant I could walk through the streets with locals saying, “hi!” every couple of minutes and see more of the non-touristy side. I was non-social, but the couple who were also there sat and chatted with the family for a few hours every night. The family was very very nice, and the food was extremely tasty! I was introduced to some new Sri Lankan food, and I loved every bite. There was so much food I couldn’t even eat a fourth (and I tried, believe me). They don’t mention it (that I saw!!!) but there are fireflies/lightning bugs a 3-minute walk away in the field. It’s right at the beginning of the street to their place. It was magical discovering that while I was trying to look at the moon. Oh and agoda’s location is wrong. It’s one street over, and there’s a sign off the main road to help you get there. Anyway. Great deal. They even took me to the bus station and made sure I got on the correct bus to get to Ella. (Literally waited 10 minutes with me.) Just picture it: a cow wandering the yard as I walked out to go to the beach and a peacock visible the second I got out of my tuktuk upon arrival. Perfect. I highly recommend this rustic little cabin!
