Great location and comfortable room
We really enjoyed our stay. The room (we stayed in room 4) was private, with great light and comfy furniture. The food and atmosphere downstairs was great and pub staff were no fuss and friendly. It would have been nice to have access to soap and a hair drier in the bathroom/room. And some extra pillows.

Disgustingly dirty
The food is good quality
I could talk about the surliness of the staff, being woken up by the so-called cleaners at 6am everyday, the peeling wallpaper, the cobwebs, dirty bathroom tiles, broken taps, or blown lightbulbs but it's the following that makes this place the most abysmal place I've stayed in: On the floor by the bed was a $10 note and a used sanitary towel. The towel was disgusting enough but the $10 is a true testament to the lackadaisical performance of the cleaners.

Pleasant staff, goos food, convenient location
Location near Central and buses suited us, and the friendly staff were very helpful. However,if a facility is a hostel, don't call it a hotel. Our four day stay saw no bed-making, garbage service, nor any cleaning. Not quite what we expected, but because of convenience, we have booked another stay prior to departure.
