Great Location, great service!”
This hotel was recommended to us by a friend who frequently flies to Hong Kong on both business and pleasure. And it was the best recommendation. It was accessible to every place we needed. Down by the hotel is the Jordan MTR which made it easier for us to go everywhere, from Mongkok to HK Disneyland. A couple of streets is the Temple Street Night Market, one bus or train ride away is already Mongkok and Ladies Market. The rooms are a mix of old and new but all clean and well maintained. Breakfast is consistently good. The staff are friendly and informative. Shoutout to Bellboy/man Marco who helped us with our bags and gave suggestions on the touristy things to do on the first day. Overall, our stay in Shamrock hotel is pleasant and wonderful. We will definitely come and stay again on our next Hong Kong trip (which will be soon!).
Nice comfy hotel in highly accessible location”
Had visited Hong Kong numerous time and stayed in various hotels in Mong Kok areas, and decided to book somewhere further down at Jordan this time round, and found out about Shamrock Hotel. Comparing with other hotels in the area at similar rate, room was spacious, cleanliness was quite up to standard, location was superb(was directly beside the entrance of Jordan MTR), you can easily walk to TST or Mong Kok area. Will like to highlight the fact that the front desk staffs and hotel staffs were excellent in service, from checking in to checking out, and also acceding to our very last minute request of extending the stay for another night, and we had 4 rooms. They also helped us to store our luggage during our check out, although it will be better if they're able to extend the check out time for us. Nonetheless, you can see them smiling all day, which lifted up our mood for the trip. Will definitely stay again if we are able to book the rooms at the special Insider Deal rate :)
Great location! Nice staff!!”
This is my first visit to Hong Kong with my bf. I did a lot of research to get a budget hotel with a good location. And I manage to find Shamrock Hotel, Jordan. Firstly, staff are all polite, helpful and nice. Secondly, although the room are abit small but it’s clean and just nice for a couple Best with bathtub. 😍 Thirdly, the breakfast is very nice, if you are in hurry, just head to the M level and have a fast bite. Try the porridge, it’s very homely feel. 😊❤️ Thirdly, location was overly superb (better than Prudential located opposite) As behind the hotel it’s Koi milk tea, Mannings, Famous Australia Dairy, outside th hotel its MTR. Basically it’s like ‘Bugis’ Of HK. I will definitely go back Shamrock if I’m heading to HK again. ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️
We had originally booked a superior room with an extra bed during our stay in the hotel for 5 nights, however, upon arriving at the room, we found the room too small (for 3 persons) and requested to have a bigger room. The staffs at the counter were nice enough to allow us to change into the triple room at additional costs per night, which were more spacious, clean and comfortable then the original room we booked. The hotel had looked relatively quite new and the staffs were very helpful in helping us to book a taxi to the airport on our last day. The hotel is just 1-2 mins walk away from Jordan MTR and there are many eateries around the hotel. My family members and i would definitely stay again at Shamrock Hotel should we have a chance to visit Hong Kong again.
Will stay in this hotel again !”
I had an enjoyable stay in Shamrock hotel. I have been to Hong Kong a few times. This is the best hotel I have stayed so far in Hong Kong. I have witnessed in many occasions during my 7 days stay that the staff is willing to go extra mile to assist and make tourists comfortable. Even the cleaner helped to get the lift for me before I walked to the lift. In another occasion, there were two families with young and very mischievous children. They were running around and climbing up and down at the sitting area. The bell boy immediately went forward and asked the parents and the children politely not to disturb others in the sitting area. In another night, there was a man who rested his feet in the sofa. This is definitely unsightly and not hygiene. Within less than 30 seconds, the staff asked him politely not to do so. Overall, I am happy to have selected this hotel for my recent stay and will definitely go back again in my next trip. Keep it up!! Shamrock !
The Shamrock Hotel is an excellent choice for those looking for a low-to-average cost hotel. The staff at the reception speak very good English and the rooms are relatively spacious for a Hong Kong hotel in Kowloon of similar standards. The rooms are also very clean and comfortable, and comes with a safe in the closet. Bathtubs are a bit small, but proportionate to the hotel room size. There was also a full length mirror on the bathroom door. Located directly above the Jordan MTR station makes for easy access to the any place in Hong Kong.
Very good service, Clean room, perfect location”
My main objective of this trip was to watch 4 shows at the Hong Kong coliseum. I stayed a total of 4 nights I'd say there ain't significant cons but if there's smth I need to nitpick it'd be the size of the tub. I could fit nicely in it but someone that is bigger than me would have a problem. It looks bigger in photos. The staff were very friendly, helping out with luggages and sending warm greetings. They helped start my day right! The size of the room is comfortable. We booked a twin room and there was space to keep our luggages opened, a nice sized table and space to walk around. Location wise it's literally a stone's throw from Jordan exit c2. And there's a cab stand nearby just behind the exit. It's about a 10 min walk to Austin station that we walked to on our first night to Hong Kong coliseum. The area felt safe at night and the lobby was fully lit when we came back late after the show. Indeed one of the best places I've stayed at. Thank you shamrock and I'll be back :)
Shamrock- a convenient and superbly located hotel!”
I'm glad I decided to choose Shamrock as my choice of stay in Hong Kong, despite its oldish looking room pictures. The hotel has recently been renovated and actually looks rather new. The lobby is small, but pretty. The room is adequate for 2 pax with the necessary amenities. Clean toilet and comfortable beds with quiet surroundings (My room was not facing Nathan Road). The best thing about Shamrock is its location.Jordan MTR is just downstairs, linking you quickly to the shopping areas in Hong Kong. Just less than 2 minutes away from famous eateries, which locals and tourists flock to: Australian Dairy, Mak Man Kee Noodles and Yee Shun Milk Company..all just next to Shamrock! Shamrock is well-placed in a gourmet paradise. It is also just 2 bus stops away from Hong Kong Coliseum and cost you less than one sing dollar to get to the coliseum, if you are catching a concert there. I am also impressed by the customer service by Shamrock hotel staff. However, only the male frontline managers and staff deserve this mention. The female counter staff and even those I called for assistance on the room service line were blatantly rude and at best, served minimally. Those at the counter were obviously not keen to do anything beyond processing your check-in matter-of-factly.The stark contrast: the male counter staff were all friendly with warm greeting and also provided assistance and advice readily when we asked for directions and help.Even the male bellboy was more helpful and proactive in trying to assist us with arrangements to the airport for our departure flight to ensure we will be in time, compared to the cold female counter staff who did our check out and whom we were initially directing our questions to. Shamrock is fantastic in all aspects; they just need to examine what went so wrong in the attitude of their female service staff. Still a very much recommended hotel to stay in Hong Kong for its superb location, clean room and great overall service!
Great Location with Easy Access to MRT”
Shamrock Hotel is situated on Nathan road right next to Jordan MRT station. This is the first time I stay at this hotel and will definitely go back again. I booked 3 superior rooms and asked for non-smoking rooms, all on the same floor as I traveled with my elder parents. When checked-in, rooms on non-smoking floors were not available. However, staff was kind enough to upgrade all of us to deluxe rooms, all on the same floor, which is difficult to manage in Hong Kong from my past experience. Best thing about this hotel is its location. I love the fact that it's very close to temple street and my favorite dessert restaurant - Yee Shun Dairy Company on Pakes Road.
Lovely hotel with very nice decor and interior”
the shamrock hotel is centrally located in the heart of kowloon on nathan road, which consider as the backbone of hong kong that is always brimming over with the glamour of urban life and fabulous shopping selections, just a step away from the jordan station (mass transit railway), giving easy access to most parts of the city. shamrock hotel is always well prepared to provide the finest service to the esteemed guest and offers excellent accommodations, ensuring guests are well taken care of and enjoy their “home away from home” throughout their stay.
Comfortable home for a Hong Kong adventure”
Staying at Shamrock Hotel made our Hong Kong adventure enjoyable, easy and memorable. Even before the date of our trip I was already exchanging email with the hotel and they are so patient and accommodating in answering my queries about bath towel, amending room reservation and how to get there coming from the airport. That is truly good customer service. It was a plus that the location was very near 2 entry gates of the Jordan station (across the street and at the corner) , the bus stop no.11 of Cityflyer from the airport was just across the street. There were several groceries nearby (Wellcome,Park N'Shop,7 Eleven). The Shamrock Seafood Restaurant beside the hotel serves good Chinese dimsum and food (a bit pricy though), the streets behind the hotel have local noodle house and dimsum. For extra shopping at night, the Temple St. Night Market is about 2 blocks away, so is McDonalds. Across the hotel are Bossini,Giordano and Sasa, at the corner is G2000 and KFC. One block away is a park for morning walk and exercise. The hotel staff are all accommodating and helpful, they allowed us early check in of 1 out of 3 rooms we booked, we left our baggage in the bell counter before check in on 1st day and also after we checked out on our last day. They even have a waiting area in 1F where we did our last minute packing of our last minute shopping finds. The staff helped us get to our desired destination for the day by giving directions and using a map, Joe who is assigned in the main lobby was very helpful. The room was cleaned everyday and new toiletries given daily. We will definitely come back to Shamrock. I have recommended the hotel to relatives and friends.
Cleanliness, Location, Service”
This is my first time staying in Shamrock Hotel. I must say I made a good choice in selecting this hotel for my stay. Firstly, the location is superb. Took bus A21 from HKIA and alighted at stop 11, and Shamrock hotel is just right opposite. All we need is just to cross the road to get to the hotel. But please note that bus A21 is not an airport limousine, hence carrying your luggages up and down, placing them on the designated shelves are all DIY, which is a troublesome part for me as people don't really put their luggages properly and also, our luggage can be bulky & heavy to carry up and down the bus.. Going to HKIA from the hotel is easy too, just ask the hotel staff for direction, it's a short walk (less than 5mins) from the hotel to the bus stop. Back to the cleanliness of the hotel, it's really very clean even though the hotel is currently going through upgradings. Cleanliness in the room is good too, necessary amenities required are there. As I booked a family superior room, it was spacious enough for 3 adults plus 3 beds and 2 luggages and 1 big hand carry bag. Staff there are very polite and they always helped to open the hotel main door for us and greeted us "good morning" politely. I must say if you are not looking a 5 stars standard hotel, Shamrock is the one for you. With the price I paid, the superb location with train station just besides the hotel, the good customer service from the staff, I'm lucky to select Shamrock for my stay in HK.
Lots to like about the Shamrock Hotel”
I really enjoyed this Hotel. I was only in Hong Kong for one night. I really enjoyed the locacation #1. Walk outside and you just feel the energy of this great city. The Front Desk staff were very helpful and nice people as were the Doormen. The service and staff at the restaurant was great as was the food. I wasn’t as overjoyed with the room. My room was a lower priced room and although the room was ok I would like to have a window in it. Also I couldn’t get one of the lights to shut off during the night. I figured it out though. I was only there one night and the next time I’m in Hong Kong I will definitely be staying at the Shamrock Hotel.
Everything is perfect except for the hair dryer”
Everything was perfect for this hotel. Location wise just next to mtr station which is convenience for travellers, nearby there is mannings, 711 and various of famous dining store. Staff was friendly too for reception, janitor and others. Room check in and lugage storage service was quick and there is staff service for lobby main door and lift too. Room size consider as huge in Hong Kong and everything is fine in the room except for the hair dryer, the speed is too slow, need long hour to get the hair dry. Wifi speed and cleanliness in the room was fine too. Even though the price is abit steep compared to some other hotels, but is total value for the money for the above positive points. I'm totally happy with they stay in Shamrock Hotel for this trip :)
Absolutely Nice Hotel”
First of all, I would like to give benefits of this review to the hotel staff, especially the Night Concierge. My friends and I are really impressive with the services of the staff. They are all good in their job. The rooms are pretty nice. We have two rooms with one extra bed. Even the room is quite small but enough to sleep. The location is very good just 1 minute walk to the MTR station and there are a lot of interesting place all along the road around the hotel. Recommended for those who like to go travelling in Hong Kong, need place to sleep only. The price is not too high if you book through this site, Agoda compared with the benefits you would have from the hotel. One thing I would like to suggest is that the hotel should provide free wifi to the guest because now is the technology age and we need to contact our friends via internet more. Lovely, and hope to return back to Shamrock
Best Hotel along Nathan Road”
If you want a five star quality but mid range price, this is the best hotel. The rooms are very nice and well-maintained (refurbished). Not to mention the location is the best, just beside the building is the C1 exit of Jordan MTR station. The staffs are also great, could do a little bit more of a smile but still overall is great! I would definitely recommend and surely come back next visit to Hong Kong (main Kowloon). Hands up to the housekeeping team for making our rooms spotless daily, and special thanks to Mr. Yeung (Sales & Reservation Manager) for securing that my requests were provided for. Keep it up Shamrock!!!
bang for buck”
chose shamrock hotel for mainly for its location, right on nathan road and a 10 second walk from the jordan mtr. my wife and i took the subway everywhere so this was the most convenient for us. the rooms are a bit small, but we've stayed in even smaller-rommed hotels in hong kong, so the room size of shamrock didn't bother us. breakfast at the 10th floor cafe was good and the staff tended to our needs (lan cable, power adaptor, hotel-airport shuttle) very promptly and was satisfied with their service. location was the most important for us with the mtr, convenience stores, and even fast food very close by. we would definitely stay here again!
Location, location, location”
You can’t beat the location. Just a shop away from Jordan MRT Exit C, a stone’s throw away from Australia Dairy Company and a few streets away from Temple Street Night Market, it’s got a few tourist things covered in just that location. There is a bus from the airport that arrives directly opposite the hotel and another near the hotel that brings you back to the airport. It’s my second time staying at Shamrock and I rarely look for the same hotel to stay at. I usually try to look for a family room but I really didn’t mind getting two separate rooms at this hotel when it ran out of rooms for four. Staff are most helpful. Not a luxurious hotel for sure but a fantastic one as a base for exploring Hong Kong.
A nice hotel with a great location”
The Shamrock Hotel is nice and has a great location. It’s located on Nathan Road with the Jordan MTR station around the corner (less than 1 minute walk). There are plenty of shops nearby ranging from boutique shops, shopping malls, convenient stores, street markets, cafes to restaurants. There are 2 McDonalds 5 minutes’ walk from the hotel in opposite directions. We didn’t need to go as there's plenty of local food to eat nearby. The hotel and its rooms were very clean. The air-conditioning was working well throughout the hotel which was a relief since it was very hot and humid when we were in HK. Our room was quite small and we could barely fit our suitcases and hand luggage in the room. Our room had the usual such as a closet (which I couldn’t put my suit in without wrinkling it), desk, chairs, air-conditioning, TV, toiletries (including body wash, soap, toothpaste, toothbrush and shampoo but no conditioner. At least they were refilled daily.), in-room safe, slippers and a bar fridge with drinks and snacks. The bed was fine and the mattress wasn't rock hard like in other hotels I've stayed in. However, our shower didn’t seem to have hot water. It was slightly warm at best but we were not fussed as it was so hot that a cooler shower was welcomed. We spent most of our time outside so we didn’t eat or use the internet at the hotel. Hotel staff were excellent – very friendly, polite, competent and helpful …especially the bell boys. They would tell us the best way to get to any destination we wanted to go to. We were offered umbrellas when it was raining as we were walking out the door. I definitely recommend The Shamrock Hotel if you are the type of traveller that only requires a hotel room to rest and freshen up. It worked well for us as we spent most of our time in HK shopping. I would definitely stay there again although I may book a Deluxe Room next time.
Good location, friendly staff and confortable ”
Stay Shamrock Hotel for 5 night. Main reason selected this hotel is because of the location very close to MTR station. Hotel was clean and staff are friendly. Hazard free for check-in and getting around. Everyday staff will make-up the room and wish us good morning. International breakfast was so nice. Last but no least, they deserve high rate 8.5 review. Will definitely recommend friend to stay here and Shamrock Hotel will be my best choice to stay at Hong Kong.
