nice hotel, good location
very good location, ample parking spaces
check-in was a little bit slow, but room was comfortable. I stayed for two nights. and because of the malfunction of the vent line in the lavatory i have to change to another room in the second night.

Good Value and Service
Friendly Staff, Clean Rooms, Free Lobby(only) Wifi
Recently stayed here with my 11 year old son and the stay was pleasant. Rooms were clean with fresh sheets. Although it is a bit far from CBD (about 25-30 RMB) by taxi. The train station is about 15-20 mins walk. Great access to local foods near the hotel. Airport(Pudong) cost by taxi is about 200 RMB. Buffet breakfast is not the best and would consider eating else where.

Excellent service
English speaking staff with a clean room in Shanghai with reasonable price
I was staying 6 nights at this hotel. Fast internet with a nice gym. Fluent English was spoken all over this hotel. I would love to stay this hotel if I were to come back to Shanghai. I will strongly recommend this hotel for your Shaghai stay.

Good Location, normal facilities
The hotel has a decent location near to dabaishu subway station, and has an impressive lobby. However, the room was quite normal with nice clean sheets and decent bathroom amenities. However, food & other facilities in the hotel are quite over priced so you might want to dine outside.

Great hotel, big rooms, a bit out of the way.
Spacious bathroom, large room, good view (above 18th floor)
the hotel was a great value for us. we ended up staying there for a week. the staff was friendly and spoke english well enough. the room was very large, albeit a bit dated and the carpet definitely needs to be replaced. the bathroom was wonderful, nice granite counter-tops and marble floors. there were separate shower and bath facilities. you can have a wonderful view of the city as long as you are above the 18th floor. otherwise it is mostly blocked by buildings and a highway overpass. it is a bit out of the way (10 - 15 minute taxi ride) to some of the major attractions like the bund and nanjing road. taxis are cheap though so i wasn't really that much of an issue. the internet was free but painfully slow.

lovely touch
value, service
I stayed here about two weeks before and was very happy with the hotel, although the location is not as close to major attractions as it could be. The reason for writing again was because I stayed here 2 weeks ago but when I got out of the taxi yesterday morning the concierge remembered me, I thought it was a lovely touch and confirmed my satisfaction with the hotel, will happily come again.

great experience, but not normal shanghai stay.
surrounding area, good value.
I really enjoyed my time at the lansheng hotel. I stayed there with my sister and parents. Surrounding the hotel on one side is a beautiful authentic chinese wet market, alternatively its also very close to wujiaochang shopping district and what also seems to be some kind of new business district. Transportation very easy although not very close to the metro (approx 15min walk). Please note that it is not close to the city centre at all, probably very inconvenient for a regular shanghai stay where you want to see the tourist spots (that said i would recommend staying here 2 nights if you're hanging around in shanghai to get a feel for the city beyond its modern facade). Did not eat at the restaurant.

Reasonably Priced Hotel with a big hotel room
Big Hotel Room, Big Bathroom
Overall the stay was nice and the staff were really polite and helpful. It was also possible to book the bullet train tickets through the concierge. The only cons was the distance to the metro was a good 10 to 15 min walk and there are no shopping malls nearby. If you are travelling by cab, this is a hotel which you may consider due to the affordable price and large rooms.
