over priced
The photograph of the room was deceptive. It made the room look large but it was tiny with no place to sit and use a laptop

This hotel is a fantastic mix of grand, kitsch and hip. The location is perfect - step outside the door and you've got some of Bangkok's best street food. I highly recommend the foot massage in the spa! All the staff were really helpful and friendly.

Superb hotel, wonderful staff
We originally booked for three nights but extended for another two as we were so impressed. The room was beautiful, the bed was huge and very comfortable. The staff were very pleasant. The hotel has a wonderful ambiance. Definitely will stay here again when we return to Bangkok

Very, Very Poor Customer Service
I have been travelling to Thailand for over 20 years and I have to say this is by far the worst Hotel I have stayed in with regards to customer care. We were in the process of booking in with our young son when another couple approached the very small checking desk, at this point we were totally ignored! All attention was given to them, they were booked in and taken to their room. The staff now returned to us, completed our check in then informed us our room would not be ready for another 2 hours! When I questioned why the couple and been served and we were TOTALLY ignored were were just waved away and told to come back in two hours, I am still waiting for the Manager to talk to me as requested! We booked the hotel for its location to the Main Train Station as we had an early start and it is in the heart of China Town. I must say the booking system via agoda is first class, I have been using them for years. But very disappointed with the service at Shanghai Mansion.
