Staff were very helpful and friendly. I booked two rooms and they were trying to get us a connecting room. Concierge mr North was very helpful and I booked all the day tour with him. I will definitely come back again.

Excellent service and environment”

The staff at the front desk was very friendly and observant. It was my child's birthday and cakes were sent to us upon arrival, made our first day there. Also, our room was very clean and spacey. However, reminders were needed to add another set of towels every night after the first day as we had 3 people staying in the room which was for 2 initially. Overall, it was very pleasant to stay in Shangri-la Hotel with wide variety of breakfast selections and not to mention, all the staff speak English very well and are all polite and friendly. We did not have a problem going around in city especially with the help of the staff at the concierge and gate. Lastly, I would just like to praise the hotel for its safety.

Could’ve been amazing...”

Lovely amenities, fantastic staff, gorgeous pool area. Breakfast was amazing! However, receiving a note from staff saying pool / area was closed from 2pm onwards made the hotel stay sub par- I wouldn’t pay $250+ for a hotel room to not be able to use the amenities.

I called to CS that could they do something for my parents 33th Anniversary... within 2 hours their house keeper sent a big fruit platter, wine, big heart was made by white choc and a delicious choc cake You won't be cheated for the taxi charge which other hotels staff do this Excellent breakfast buffet ... more than enough... their fresh squeezed dragon fruit juice was nice Must book a room which including the horizon club lounge access .... definitely worth for the $$$ as just less than THB 600 different If you are a 3 adults group, worth to try their executive suites as no extra charge for the 3rd adult Anyway, you must stay here while traveling to Chiangmai

the shangri la Hotel is really a very nice place. all good there and very well structured. well maintained and staff is friendly all over. well located, so just a short walk to the night market, all good, like to come back there, sure !

Bad check-in experience”

arrived at the hotel early hoping for early check-in would be available since we were traveling with baby. we booked for a premium room. was told room was not ready which i could understand. came back at official check-in time and room still not ready. came back at 2:30pm and once more room was not ready, said housekeeping havnt gotten around to it. finally they gave us a club level room only after we complained for 10 minutes at the front desk. they could have given us the club level room earlier but didnt want to release it for us until they saw we were really upset. we tried to be accomodating but the front desk kept us waiting way past our check in time and we were traveling with baby. i certainly did not expect this level of non-concern from shangri-la, as if we had to fight for our deserved room. and the icing on the cake was they told us even if we got a club level room we could not use their club amenities.... *then just dont put us on that level just give me the room i deserve!

Great hotel and definately stay on club lounge”

We spent 3 nights at the hotel. I had read reviews about paying extra for the club lounge levels. Definitely my suggestion! Breakfast every morning, high level rooms, drinks/food every afternoon. As I like to eat it was fantastic to relax with the wife each day before we headed out for dinner and town.

Tranquility Lost -18 Floor Condo Construction”

We were at this gorgeous hotel for 5 days. The peace and tranquility of the large luscious swimming pool was negatively impacted by the constant pounding of the construction literally a stone's throw away.

Luxury and location go hand in hand”

Saying with my friend, we were so happy by the choice, excellent location with a short walk to the night bazaar, very impressive lobby. The rooms are so nice and clean, wifi a little slow but still workable. Love the dining experience there too. Shangri La always means luxury no matter where it is in the world, and this one is no exception.

Amazing Service, great value”

Hotel room is quite big and confortable and the staff are friendly and helpful. The location is great, near night market, restaurant, minutes away from historic center and tuk tuk are scater around. The food needs some improvement. Overall excellent stay.

I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it when I looked at the pictures online but it definitely has exceeded my expectation with the new, comfortable, spacious room. The pool area was also very nice, it will be very suitable for family who just want an easy vacation.

Peaceful place， Away from bangkok and away from th”

Although the hotel is a bit old compared to the other newly built hotel， Shangri la is still my first piority as they could maintain its superior service worldwide. The room is amazingly clean and the room service is superb. You cannot be too picky while the hotel price is at the acceptable range. But I think hotel may pay attention to the noise coming from the main road especially during midnight. The roaring sound from Tuktuk is a bit annoying.

this is a moden hotel in the city, we have a free upgate for the room, thanks for the staff.it's nearby night bazaar and very close to old town. but the disadvantage is it costs me 300 bath by using room telephone to dial a few local call.

Top hotel in fascinating city”

We loved the city and the hotel was a wonderful respite from the normal rigours of our tourist exploits. We upgraded to the executive floor and found that to be fantastic value given the amount of food our older children consumed, and naturally the access to included alcohol for the parents. The rooms were beautiful as you'd expect in a luxury hotel, the only downside being a troublesome internet.

Shangri-La quality with reasonable price”

After a fast check in at the club lobby, we immediately got our room. The room with garden and pool view was clean and big. The bathroom is spacious but the bathtub to small. The highlight of our stay was definitely the amazing SPA. A lot of shoping opportunities in the hotel itself are provided. If this shouldn't be enough the location of the hotel is perfect and in walking distance to the heart of the city.

A masterpiece of 5 star accommodation”

My friend and I were so happy with our choice. This is a really beautiful hotel which is well kept, with excellent comfortable rooms, stunning decorations and huge swimming pool. The spa is one of the best in Chiang Mai too! Although on the pricey side, this hotel is a really luxurious treat that is worthy of its price tag. Highly recommended! Only minor issue is their slow and weak wifi which was free to use.
