Customer service at its highest quality. Extremely catering and very helpful with surrounding activities and restaurants. On check in we were gifted complementary Champagne and chocolates when known we were here for my Fiancés 30th Birthday. Close to town and all attractions. Marina is right at your step if planning trips to the Fitzroy Island or Green Island like we opted for.

Rooms were immaculate, the location is right next to the wharf for ferries which was perfect for out fitzroy island tour. Staff were extremely helpful and very nice. Cleanliness was 10/10

Perfect location for going to the Marina for ocean adventure tours. Quiet area if you only wanted to stay inside the hotel and relax. Staffs are excellent, very polite and cheerful.

Hi all I stayed at Shangrila in early August. Before I go in to how great it was, I think it’s really important to note that the rooms can get quite noisy. I’m a light sleeper and struggled to go to sleep do to the noise in the restaurants and bars. I stayed at several hotels during my trip and had no problems with any other 5 star hotel, however this one I did. So if you’re a light sleeper, potentially ask the reception if you can move to a quieter room. I wish I had asked. It could be because I was on the mezzanine floor. Otherwise, the room was grand and spacious. Quite modern and probably one of my favourites in terms of internal space. The restaurants around the area are fantastic! I recommend Howlin’ for a feed and drink. If you want fresh seafood, you can dine in on the trawler which is just next door on the marina. Location is great if you are going on a boat to the Great Barrier Reef. Hope you enjoy your stay like I did :)

We enjoyed out stay at Shangri-la Hotel. The room and amenities were great and the location is perfect to get around everywhere. Although the food wasn't excellent there is a great happy hour a few times a day and some good restaurants close by.

This was our final stay to our 9 months of budget travelling so anything with a bath tub was more than nice. The hotel was a great location and the on site restaurant was perfect too.

Beautiful stay on the reef”
We loved our stay on Fitzroy Island. For an island we were very impressed with the facilities available we didn't bother trying the restaurant but Foxy's was a brilliant little beach bar lots of food options and drinks were reasonable priced. The hotel is on the most beautiful island i can't wait to return.

I liked the proximity of the hotel to the city. But since most of the places we went were around port Douglas, it took us a long time to travel. The room was pretty clean. The breakfast was okay.
