A good hotel”
This is a very clean hotel that provides a nice view of Himalayan mountains. But the amenities in the hotel is very old
LOCATION IS NOT GOOD, OTHER ASPECTS ARE NOT BAD
Hotel is ok but very old property staff is good but not good as compared to five star property it’s should be renovated location also good so need some renovation ac are not working properly because there is hot over there .
Not direct mountain view!!!!!!”
it is hotel with basic amenities. From three side it is surrounded by houses .so, u get a mountain View from above that houses. Back side is open but it is of no use from view point of view.air-conditioning is weak in the rooms and pool is some what small.in pokhara u don't have much choices in accommodation.
Shower only warm, good SPA
GOOD RESORT BUT AWAY FROM LAKE SIDE”
GOOD RESORT BUT AWAY FROM LAKE SIDE. THE FOOD IS EXCELLENT AND BREAKFAST HAS MANY OPTIONS. THE STAFF IS COURTEOUS. BEST PLACE TO STAY IN POKHARA. THE PROPERTY IS LITTLE AWAY FROM LAKE SIDE BUT THEY TOO PROVIDE A SHUTTLE. A SMALL ADVICE THE SHUTTLE TIME SHOULD BE INCREASED TO 1900 HRS . THE SWIMMING POOL IS CLEAN AND MAINTAINED. ROOMS ARE SPACIOUS AND EXCELLENT. TRY TAKING THE GROUND FLOOR ROOMS.
worst shangrilla ever”
staff are helpful .. location not so close to the center . internet connection sucks . 5 star with no toothbrush and room slipper supplied .. overall okey okey
The hotel is set in lovely gardens which are beautifully maintained. The restaurant serves a variety of food and the staff are exceptionally attentive, led by the excellent Shiva Duwadi. We had a wonderful time and would certainly recommend it to others.
The hotel is a small distance away from the lakeside but they provide shuttle service at certain times of the day. Staff is friendly and helpful. Good place to stay
This was a very nice hotel, a bit far from the lake but still taxis werw cheap enough. It did have a pool and some room service which was nice. The morning and evening view of the mountain range were out of this world!
Had an excellent stay at Shangri-La Village Pokhara, thank you so much Breakfree Adventures for making my holiday wonderful.
Beautiful garden and amazing pool”
The hotel gardens and pool are beautiful and a sea of calm. The pool is fantastic and the team at the spa were very good, super massage!! The rooms are beautifully decorated but seem a bit old and so does the toilet. The restaurant staff were lovely and attentive but the food needs improving. Value for money was good as I had one of Agoda's offers.
We have stayed at Shangri La many times in the past. This time we were very disappointed in the facilities. The swimming pool is still very nice and the hotel is in a lovely quiet setting. However, the rooms need to be painted and upgraded. Same bedding, decor, etc. as 15 years ago. Small old tv with a non working remote. Very cheap iron and board. The fitness center is gone, the food quality is poor, and the staff are very unprofessional and untrained. No hot water most of the days. VERY SLOW INTERNET and almost never available in the room. The two hammocks on the property are stretched and I saw several people (including myself) hurt. Sad to see a beautiful property going down because of poor management.
5 Star? Stay away unless desperate”
I liked the fact that Shangri-La is located in a quiet neighbourhood and the grounds are lovely. That's about it. My friend and i stayed there after our 6 day trek to ABC. We were hoping for some level of comfort like decent hot shower. Instead we were greeted with power rationing. That's fine so long as there's hot shower. Hot water is only available from 6am - 8am in the mornings and 7pm - 9pm in the evenings. We had to schedule our holiday according to hot water availability which was quite annoying and 3/4 of the time we had to call maintenance to fix our hot water as there was none! At best we got lukewarm water. Our guides stayed in a USD10 budget hotel and had 24/7 hot water. duh??? We also did a massage. They rooms had no heater (just a blower which goes off and on every couple of minutes)! We were shivering & they have the cheek to say that we complaint was cold. Transportation - the hotel did not inform us that they provided free transfers to & from the airports. We didnt know till check out and after we have booked a taxi to take us. The other hotels we stayed in Kathmandu faced power cuts but they provided 24/7 hot water. We could even get hot water shower on our treks. If you are visiting Pokhara.. dont stay here.
COMFORTABLE QUIET HOTEL”
