Cosy Hotel”
This hotel is located on the main road to Shitou. Just 10 minutes drive to major scenery spot. The hotel staff is very nice to explain to us the travel plan. The hotel also offer guided scenery tour and star observation for FREE! There is a wooden bathtub on the balcony. You can enjoy jacuzzi with star over the head.

Nice room with great view”
The Xitou Bus has a stop at the hotel, so it was easy to get there. We took a family room for our family of three, stayed on the 10th floor and had a great view of the mountains from our room. The hotel provides a shuttle service to the Xitou Nature Reserve but it's great to take a walk up in the morning, takes about 30 minutes. The Nature Reserve was the highlight of the trip, with its beautiful forests and fresh air. The hotel provides some DIY activities e.g. painting and cookie making to keep guests occupied in the evenings. Our only complain is the service attitude of the staff: we went for our walk around lunchtime on our first day there and asked if she could drive us to carpark 2 where the eateries were located, but she was reluctant and claimed that traffic was busy there and not convenient to drive there, made us walk about 10 min to carpark 2 in the rain. Certainly not the kind of service we expect from Taiwanese hotel staff as we have had great experiences at different hotels during the rest of our trip.

Serene environment with plenty of fresh air.”
Room is clean with very comfortable bed.Hand shower set looked un-impressive.It does not match the rest of the bathroom. Provide free shuttle bus to Xitou bus station.There is also a bus stop just outside the hotel to Taichung Railway station .Wangkeng bus stop-bus number 6883.

The hotel only provides one trip (to and fro) to Xitou Monster Village per day and the location is not really accessible unless you take the town bus from the terminal station which runs every hour (weekday). They weren't very flexible in sending us to the terminal when we checked out and had 2 large luggage with us. True that the terminal is only 5 min walk from the drop off point but dragging 2 luggage up a slope to the terminal is literally an uphill task. I recommend booking a driver for a day if you want to fully explore Xitou as transportation is quite impossible. Generally, the hotel is clean though a bit old. They even give each room guest a free customized key chain! The night can be boring as shops close early in the mountains but the hotel provides free DVD rental at the counter. Hotel breakfast is wonderful - though the spread isn't great but the options are mainly healthy (and vegetarian) dishes that I supposed was catered to the older crowd.

Location is ideal if you are visiting Xitou Nature Area and Monster village. Shuttle service from hotel was a plus. Hotel space is large, rooms are clean. Nice view of the forest from the room. Fresh air We participated in the cooking baking (free) and our older kids love it.

CleanDespite the hotel was only located 5mins drive away to Monster Village/Xitou Forest, the hotel was too calculative as they only provided one time free shuttle service & it stopped at 5pm. The only worth night activity to do around the area is at Monster Village but you couldn't go there without transport. If you were to go to the hotel by public transport, you would end up having your dinner in the hotel as there is no public transport services to move around at night. The hotel serves only one type of food but pricey .

Nice hotel to consider”
Even though our room is very close to the elevator, the potential noise does not sound to bother much as most of the hotel guests rest early. The bed is kind of too soft to sleep for us. The air conditioning works good and it feels cool. It is very kind of the hotel to offer decent dinner upon arrival and standard breakfast the next day as it is not easy to find a decent restaurant in the neighborhood.

Quite satisfy with the overall ..staff vy gd service ...they deliver our luggage to the bus station after our hiking trip according to our bus time..gd dinner ...but.......only one flat pillow...needs 2 pillow to hv gd support n nice sleep....but overall .gd moneys worth

Made a bad choice”
Hotel looks good on picture but actually is old, but can understand as is located uphill and later we found many better choices in Monster Village and better located near the park and with family mart. Hotel were doing renovation, and we hear moving noises around night time but bearable, untill it starts to get worse around morning 8am where they start to do drilling next to our room where we were disturbingly awake by the noise. Hotel reception could have informed us earlier, or change our room to another.

The hotel is old. Both facility and design. Cleanliness is moderate. Breakfast is moderate with not much choices. Baking class is fun. Will try other hotel if have a chance.
