Very beautiful hotel, but far from chaweng beach.”
We stayed at ShaSa on our 3rd and 4th nights in Samui, our room type was 1 bedroom deluxe seaview suite. The view from the room was awesome, and the staffs of ShaSa were very friendly. It's about 30 mins driving from ShaSa to Chaweng beach, but Since most people tend to rent a car or bike while staying in Samui, so I think the distance shouldn't be a big problem. If you want to avoid all the mess from Chaweng beach, ShaSa will be a great choice.
it was such a great great experience, the room was huge even you stay in the standard size. the view you can look out of the room, was awesome!! the breakfast was nice, fresh and enough choices. the staff were all very nice, polite and patience too. everythings were great there...i'm sure i will go back as soon as i can!!
Great Ocean View”
Perfect hotel. Will definitely come back again. I recommend to rent a car at the airport so that you can drive near the hotel for nice restaurants with great sunset views. (south part of the island) also recommend to hire slow-boat for fishing, snorkeling, and sunset.
Comfortably stay at Shasa Hotel”
The hotel is brand new, modern and classy style. Hotel staff is freindly and willing to help out. The hotel located on the cape which has no beach. We can only swim at the pool. Three- bedroom Pool villa is reccommended for family with children. The room is fully equipped with kitchenware in various sizes i.e. pot, pan and plate.
Amizing views and lovely pool area”
Beatifull pool and garden. Amazing views. Nice and friendly service and excellent breakfast. Rooms furnitures and curtains worned out and not in nice conditions. Nice and need bedrooms and bathrooms. It was very good, that hotel had shuttle bus to other beach and city.
GREAT STAY ”
Worth for money, spacious room and will back again
Nice View and Facility”
got a very good promotion from agoda, nice view resort, ala-carte breakfast. Friendly staff
Relax and refresh, then go explore”
Super relaxing, no rush resort. Staff are always around when you need them and very helpful (always smiling). Breakfast is AMAZING, Huge international variety. Location is a bit out of the way from shopping centres and tourist spots. We hired a car through the resort which was slightly pricey but easy,no fuss and reliable. The building exterior and furniture is aged, HOWEVER this is how majority of the island is. A little behind, a little slow BUT just an most wonderful place to be. If you want UBER cool, uber sparkles then go to VEGAS......SAMUI is unpretentious, REAL and amazing. We hope to return to Shasa Residence because of the staff. They love their jobs and the resort.
Everything great except breakfast”
The hotel is great, with the exception of breakfast- possibly the worst breakfast in the whole of Thailand. The bread is stale to the point it’s as hard as a rock, the order to cook menu is small and the servings are small but the food was horrible which doesn’t make sense because dinner there is amazing. Really disappointed that the food for breakfast wasn’t good because it’s so important in a hotel that way away from everything. Taxis organised by the hotel were also a lot more expensive than other hotel organised taxis in the area so we mostly used mr Samui
very nice hotel but far from everywhere”
staff was very helpful and she order take in food for me everyday as I have small kids with me. is far from anywhere, and there only have one restaurant and you get bore with the food if you stay for 5 days.
Perfect place to reset yourself”
Great tasting food and drinks, nice pools, relaxing treatment at SPA, play area for toddlers and top it all - a massive unit to stay.....a perfect mix that makes ShaSa property an ideal one for a revisit. It doesn't have a sandy beach of its own, but you sure can venture out and wade into the waters nearby.
Raining but pleasurable”
The facilities at the hotel were all top notch. I enjoyed working out in the fitness room everyday. The front desk and dining room staff all should be commended. We were able to find time for a dip in the Jacuzzi pool on our last day which was very nice. Overall, great and would recommend to all.
It was a very fun and hassle-free getaway. From check-in to check-out, everyone was very accommodating - their receptionist Meaw was great. The one setback was that the restaurant takes quite awhile to prepare food, and also charged when we requested for food to be heated up. Transport out of the hotel was also quite expensive.
very good hotel”
Good: rooms are huge with modern furniture, big pools and very quiet area, hotel gardens look nice, motorbike rent for a reasonable price, breakfast is very good; Bad: beware if you are smoking that it is not allowed to even smoke on ones own balcony and only in some uncomfortabe smoking areas, shuttle service to Lamai/Caweng absolutely unsatisfying because only 2 times and last return to hotel is in the afternoon, restaurant and all other services (even the use of the washing maschine that is in the room!) are overpriced even for a 5 star hotel, 1 pool with the whirpools etc. is badly mantained and dirty; All in all: It is a beautiful hotel and for people that like being away from everything I can recommend it but otherwise I would take another hotel
Great Hotel, Nice Stay, Fantastic Service”
We had stay 3 nights at the ShaSa. It was like what I expected. Peaceful, far from the crowded, Fantastic view, Great staff performance, swimming pools. We just wanted to stay and do all activities in the hotel. Such a perfect hotel for family. Breakfast was great but better to extend more time to 11 or 12. I'll definitely return to ShaSa again.
Spacious apartment with an amazind ocean view”
Huge Spacious 2 bedroom suite with an amazing ocean view. The staff is great as well. it was an easy check in and out procedure with them. They had a library of magazines/books and Dvds; this was great for the kids because they could watch movies late at night. We rented a scooter from the hotel which made it easy to drive to local restaurants to either go there to eat or for take away. The staff also booked a snorkeling tour for us. The breakfast was nice but catered more to the Asian palate. There are many local restaurants to go to eat within 10-15 minutes of drive. The kitchen was nice and had all of the utensils so I was able to make a couple of light lunches. The balcony and the view were amazing but for the price that we paid we should have had a beach. The sea is there but the beach is not.. it is too rocky. Go see the waterfall if possible and definitely try to street food.
All-round great hotel”
We had a great stay here. The rooms are huge, and fabulous! (great views, clean, spacious, huge bath, comfy bed). The massage at the spa was great too - a simple spa, but recommended back, neck and shoulder massage. There isn't much else by way of local restaurants etc close, but you can take a shuttle or taxi to town and back. Pools are lovely, and quiet enough to have your own relax space. The beach is probably not great for swimming, but nice to explore. We had New Years dinner there which had excellent food, but a lot of kids (as this is quite a family hotel), and fairly expensive (as all New Years dinners are in Samui), with only expensive choice of drinks. All in all, a good choice, if you're happy to be staying remotely on the island.
Worth to stay!”
The staff in ShaSa are professional! We are two girls visiting Koh Samui and stayed in ShaSa for 3 nights. We rent a scooter from ShaSa and rode about 40 minutes to Chawen Street. Unfortunately when we were about arriving our final destination, the tire of the scooter was broke. We couldn't do anything but park the scooter aside, and took tuktuk to our destination. I called Shasa about the problem and they are amazingly professional and friendly. They suggest us to took their free shuttle bus after we finished our activity in Chawen street, and they will send the agent from scooter company to get the broken one back. we really appreciate the kind and friendly staff from ShaSa, i definitely will visit this resort again! Oh, plus, we spend 6 days in Koh Samui and another 5 days in Bangkok, but apparently, the best Mango and sticky rice was actually in ShaSa! For visitors who came to stay at ShaSa, you really have to taste ShaSa's Mango with sticky rice for sure, cuz me and my partners have tried so many of this sweet dish in Samui and in BKK, we both agreed ShaSa's is the best one!
Nice for relaxation”
We had a very nice stay. Rooms are large and clean. However, it was quite difficult to travel outside. Very far from Chaweng. Minibar is no longer complimentary. There was also an extra fee if you want to use in-room laundry machine.
5-star and thoughtful service ”
My family and I love this resort. There are so many good things, I dont know where to start. It was sheer bliss if you want a private hideaway that's away from the usual tourist traps and crowds. We had 2 weeks here and didn't regret spending so much time in a single location. The suite was beautifully appointed and maintained. We had the option of cooking or going to the restaurant for meals. If we are feeling lazy, room service is available. The breakfast buffet is amazing - great quality unlike some of the so-called brand name resorts. We always look forward to breakfast. However be prepared there is ONLY one restaurant (same as where you go for breakfast), which though is very good food, can get boring if you only like a few things on the menu. Given what we have seen of the island, we were happy not to be too near the crazy crowds. The resort is built on an incline, which suits us fine as it gave us pretty unblocked views of the horizon. Though it rained a couple of days we were there, there were videos we can borrow to while away the time. This resort is for you if you are keen to just chill without having the stress of running out early to book a sunchair. I really like the staff as well, they are so warm and kind. Being built on an incline meant that my mum who has bad knees will find it hard to walk around but the staff were also around to help her if we are not around. I am really touched by their kindness. Looking forward to planning another stay if I need to get away from it all.
