The E11 is the longest road in the United Arab Emirates, and it follows the coast of the Arabian Gulf directly through the heart of Dubai. The portion that runs through the city center is called Sheikh Zayed Road and plays hosts to some of Dubai’s most successful business and financial firms.
Sheikh Zayed Road passes some of the most impressive skyscrapers in Dubai, not least of which are the twin spires of the Emirates Towers. Connecting these two towers is ‘The Boulevard’, a shopping and entertainment complex that ties together the offices, hotels rooms and condominiums that populate the tower.
Another important building is the Dubai World Trade Center. Some of the best-known business hotels in Dubai are in this area, catering to an international set of business travelers in town for a mix of work and leisure. Attached is the Dubai International Convention Center, a complex many see as the epicenter of business in the Middle East. Grouped together with these major landmarks are the Dubai Exhibition Center and the Dubai International Finance Center, which is the fastest-growing finance hub in the world.
The emphasis on finance-, business- and conference-related travel in this district is a powerful force guiding those developing new accommodation in Sheikh Zayed Road, but there are still plenty of leisure activities to enjoy. Headlining this list is the opulent 400 Night Club, an ultra-exclusive venue where the most successful tycoons in Dubai come for late-night dancing and entertainment.
