A tranquil place to stay in Yangon”

I enjoyed my stay here and would consider staying at Shennoon's again. The staff were extremely helpful and the place is kept immaculately clean. The only downside (which can't be helped) is the location - it's fine for getting to Shwedagon and the airport, but it takes longer to get to downtown. It would also be great if a fan were provided in the rooms too as the air-con unit is very noisy if you want to keep it on whilst asleep at night. But apart from that, I would recommend this b&b.

friendly and comfy”

ery good. affordable, comfy and clean. staff is accommodating. we can't remember her name, but she can speak English very well so there's not much of miscommunication. it's best to get a hotel pick-up for convenience. we paid 8,000 kyats. normally, one taxi is good for 2-3 passengers. but there were four of us. and i said that we're just "small and slim people" so we could fit in one cab, and the hotel said yes. best to clarify this with them so expectations are clear. we were not able to extend our check-out time because the hotel was fully booked, but the staff / manager was kind enough to let us use the common toilet to take a shower before we took the sleeper bus to bagan. it's very hot and you'd really want to take a shower before taking the bus. so we were really very grateful for this extension of service. that is one big plus. taxis here don't use a meter so it's best to check estimated fare rates with the hotel so you don't get ripped off. you can negotiate fare with the drivers but some tend to be picky and all that, but generally, people here are honest. amenities are ok. toilet is clean but small. toilet and shower are fit in one room so floor gets wet. toilet slippers are provided though so you don't wet your feet if you just need to use the toilet. free wifi is fast enough. not much of a problem really. we just stayed for one night, but it was all good. we are happy and satisfied guests.

Great Service”

Fantastic service from the staff who are falling over to get you the help you need, such as an early breakfast or a taxi service or to keep you updated on power failures. They do have a little back-up generator to keep services like wifi and lights (but not AC) running during a power failure. We got the family room, it was large and clean, beds were nice and firm, the linen and towels smelled freshly laundered. The wifi works pretty well for Myanmar. Same for the AC. Not so good: the shower pressure was a bit low. The location is a 3000-kyat taxi ride from downtown and is hidden in a little residential neighbourhood behind the British International School (blue and white building), can be a little hard to find. But seriously, all these can and should be overlooked given the price. Btw they can cook other meals for you besides breakfast if you let them know in advance.

Staying at Home”

The staff were very helpful and accommodating. They were very helpful even before I arrived in Myanmar. They arranged an airport pickup. They also helped me purchase a cheap bys ticket to Bagan. They were especially very helpful in assisting me retrieve my lost luggage. The room is clean and gives you the feeling of being at home. It is quite far from Downtown Yangon so nights are very quiet. But you have to be careful with taxi drivers overcharging. I would definitely recommend people to stay here.

Too far from the center”

Arrived at 1.15 PM. Room not ready, fair since the theorical arrival time is 2 PM. We left our baggage at the reception and went ahead at visiting Yangon. 45 to 60 minutes from the center by taxi according to trafic. Return to the hotel at 9 PM. We found our luggage in a bedroom with no window, with a very tiny bathroom, although we had reserved a ´superior room´ one month in advance. This room was on the groundfloor, next to the kitchen. At 4.30 AM, the nightguard decided to prepare himself something in the kitchen, emiting strong noises to a point that I thought that someone was setting tables for breakfast. I started sleeping again only at 5.30.At 5.55, the lady in charge of breakfasi arrived, and the guard and herself started very loud discussions in the kitchen, right by our room. The next day, we were given another room on 2nd floor. Better experience on this second and last day.

Friendly owner”

Internet was very poor, hardly ever worked and was very slow when it did, by that seems common in Yangon. You don't get a fridge in your room, but you can use the one in the kitchen.

2 nuits passées au calme chez Sheennon, à 15 minutes du centre en taxi, lorsqu'il n'y a pas de bouchons, sinon, compter une heure ... Personnel très professionnel, contact et échanges en anglais sans aucun soucis, très arrangeant, globalement une adresse à recommander ! Petit déjeuner inclus dans le prix de la chambre très copieux, un plus non négligeable ! Merci Sheennon !

Un court sejour mais une belle rencontre avec David, qui nous a tres bien accueilli et nous a bien indiqué ce qu il y avait a voir ( lac Inya). Tres bon petit dejeuner. Hotel dans un quartier calme ce qui est rare à Yangoon.

Transit une nuit ”

Très bien, à conseiller fortement Nous avions contacté de l'étape précédente pour réserver notre bus de Yangon à Ngwesaung Beach. La responsable a tout organisé à la perfection. Elle s'est levée à 5h du matin pour nous réveiller et nous a préparé un petit déjeuner. Elle était d'une gentillesse Elle nous a conseillé un restaurant chinois à 10 minutes à pied où nous avons très bien mangé la veille.
