Fantastic Location and JUMBO rooms”
We stayed in Hiroshima for one night in January 2013, and used this hotel as a base to see the nearby Miyajima island, and The A-Bomb dome. The hotel is very conveniently located right next to the Hiroshima JR station, which made it very easy to get to with our heavy bags. The rooms were VERY large, and the Sheraton Sleeper bed was super comfy. The bathroom was modern and new. We ate buffet breakfast at the hotel, but for 2000 yen I think that you would be able to get better from local bakeries.
Fantastic hotel, convenient location”
This is really a top-notch place, and the price (on Agoda) made it a great value as well. The hotel is conveniently located next to the train station, and the sight-seeing bus leaves from close-by. Staff are helpful and friendly. The beds are extremely comfortable, the decor was modern and elegant, and the room was extremely big by Japanese standards. Of all the hotels we stayed during our 1-week trip to Japan, this was definitely the nicest. I highly recommend the Sheraton if you're staying in Hiroshima.
Comfort in Hiroshima”
Great location - next to the station. The ongoing renovation of the Hiroshima station makes it a little confusing to find. As with the Starwood brand, expect the Sheraton experience in Japan. English speaking staff, happy hour drinks and nibbles, a gym, breakfast buffet and wonderful dining choices with additional guest discounts! The room is sizeable by Japan standards and has great bedding and pillows! The location makes it easy to hop onto the tram #2/6 to get to the Peace Park and Miyajima - two must dos in Hiroshima.
Luxury and good location”
Sheraton Hiroshima is located right besides the Shinkansen (bullet train) station and it is quite convenient to get there. The hotel is a 5-star hotel and the room is quite spacious and luxurious. Personally I felt it is worth the money we paid for the room. Besides the hotel, there are quite a no of shopping centres and good restaurant around. Also, we took the JR bus (with the JR Pass is free of charge) to go around the tourist attractions and the pick-up point is right outside the hotel.
Modern hotel in good location”
One of the best hotels we've stayed at in the past few years. The 17th floor room was very modern, spacious with quality fixtures & fittings & a great view over Hiroshima to the surrounding hills. We liked the bathroom layout with its separate bath/shower room, toilet & handbasin/mirror areas. Every staff member we dealt with was friendly, efficient & fluent in English. My only(minor) gripe about the hotel is the 1,050 Yen per 24 hour charge for in-room Wi-fi, although free Wi-fi is available in the Lobby on Level 6. As we arrived & departed Hiroshima by rail, the hotel's location alongside the Hiroshima Railway Station was especially convenient. We would recommend the hotel to other travellers & would happily stay there again.
Fabulous Stay - highly reccomended!”
This was our favourite hotel during our 3 week holiday in Japan - we loved it over Hilton Shinjuku and Hyatt Regency Shinjuku. We stayed in the king room with view and it was magnificent. The room was spacious, functional and nicely decorated. I couldn't find a fault. The hotel also connects to Hiroshima Station via a newly built bridge that can be accessed from L2 of the hotel. And you can also easily access the JR Loop Bus on G floor - which takes you to Atomic Dome site and other places of interest in Hiroshima (covered under JR Pass). Everything was on-point from service to the amenities. I wish hotels were more like this in Japan in terms of the room size and comfort. I would gladly stay here again if i visit Hiroshima.
A Beautiful Hotel”
We spent two days at this property and loved it. It started off with a short walk from the Shinkansen - we had disembarked at Hiroshima station, where the local guides offered to walk us to the hotel. We thought that was incredibly generous (it was) ... but it indicates how close by this hotel is to the station. And we took full advantage of that during our stay. Our room was bright, modern and well maintained - on the 11th floor, it had a fairly industrial view across the taxi rank towards town, which transformed at night with the city lights. It was all very nice. The room was very spacious with the sink for the bathroom & toilet being in room (rather than in the bathroom) ... so this probably added to the feeling of space. There is a cafe downstairs that we enjoyed a late night coffee & cake with our friends (they also had breakfast there in the morning) ... and the lift from the lobby down to level 2 allows a very easy connection to the train station. In addition, the taxi rank on Level 1 meant that transport was never far away. The internet service in the room was fast and included in the rate, and the concierge did a great job of recommending a teppanyaki restaurant and organising our booking. We'd love to stay here again when we are back in Hiroshima.
Beautiful, perfect location, English-speaking staff, connected to JR Shinkansen station, HUGE rooms!”
Pros: English speaking staff, large windows, (corner room amazing view), large beds, HUGE room size (even by American standards), Japanese-style separate shower/tub combo which was absolutely fantastic, easy access to hotel since it's connected to JR Shinkansen station, which is connected to the Hiroshima streetcar lines that will take you all over the city (direct to Atomic Dome and museum), smoking area right outside lobby (if that is something that appeals to you), smoking or non-smoking rooms available, room price very affordable, breakfast buffet available every morning for approx $25 (Japanese and western-style food), happy hour bar located in lobby and another upstairs, amazing Japanese restaurant on 6th floor, extremely clean and overall a fabulous hotel. Con: the restaurants are fairly pricey, (although delicious). If you just want to have late-night snacks, walk the 300 feet to the JR station and go to one of the 7-Elevens located inside. Otherwise perfect for Westerners!
We found the staff to be the best we have ever experienced. Genuine and attentive, Chiaki was fanta!”
We would recommend the Sheraton Grand for anybody staying in Hiroshima. The staff is absolutely first rate. The restaurant is limited but the H station has plenty of great options.
Stayed at Sheraton Hiroshima Hotel for 3 nights. The hotel is only a few steps away from Hiroshima JR and tram station, make sightseeing or getting around extremely easy. Room is spacious and very comfortable.
Excellent hotel near Hiroshima Station”
My overnight stay in Sheraton Hiroshima was just as I hoped for and more. Room was very spacious with a nice view of the city and the train station. Proximity to the train and tram station made it soooo convenient to travel to/from downtown and to/from Miyajima. I didn't try the food here as I elected to check out the local delicacies but I'm sure the selection would have been excellent as well from what I saw of the buffet spread.
Favourite hotel in Hiroshima”
This is my second time staying in this hotel and I would still stay here again the next time I come to Hiroshima. Location is great, right by the Hiroshima station, the room is nice and comfortable and we have a great view of Hiroshima from our room. The best part has to be the beds, they're super comfortable. Breakfast is pretty good with a wide range of selection. Overall a convenient and nice hotel to stay in Hiroshima.
The Sheraton hotel in Hiroshima is great. Its situated right neat the shinkansen station so its very easy to find. The staff are great & Helpful. The rooms are one of the best that i have ever stayed in with a great view & I would definitley stay there again.
Fantastic stay at the Sheraton ”
This was one of my absolute favourite hotel stays. My husband, our son and I enjoyed the ease of visiting both Hiroshima and Miyajima island from this location. We would recommend the Sheraton highly. Our son really loved his king room as well.
Best stay (out of 7 hotels) on a 16 days vacation in Japan”
The hotel was definitely the best of all accommodations during our stay in Japan. (I know what I'm talking about, since I worked for ages in hotel management) Perfect location, especially for travelling with JR, it is easy to go by streetcar around Hiroshima. Breakfast was by far the best of all breakfast buffets we had on the trip. The hotel is really up to international standard and not just the Japanese. Room was big (corner room) and clean. Will definitely return, if I'm again in Hiroshima. Thumbs up.
Perfect location for discovering Hiroshima especially while accessing public transport to and from your sightseeing destinations. If I was to return to Hiroshima the Sheraton Grand Hotel would be where we'd be staying. The room was large, clean and the bed was so comfortable.
Excellent location, next to the train station.”
Possibly the most comfortable beds I ever had the pleasure of sleeping in! This is lovely, modern hotel with great facilities and a fantastic atmosphere. It's next door to the train station so has excellent transport links. If you're staying in Hiroshima for a few days this is an ideal location as the trams, buses and trains are right on your doorstep and extremely easy to use. Take a day trip to Miyajima while you're in Hiroshima. A beautiful island with lots of hills to wander in and little shops to pop into. Watch out for the local deer at lunch times, they're not shy at trying to grab a quick snack from tourists.
Review on Sheraton at Hiroshima”
The staffs are very helpful. In fact, one of the early mornings during my stay. I called the guest service for assistance to look for a doctor as my Wife was coughing badly. The counter provide very helpful information. I will come back to Sheraton again if I visit Hiroshima in my next trip.
Wonderful hotel perfectly situated. ”
Great hotel - perfectly situated outside Hiroshima station. Rooms are spacious and accessoried to accommodate all your needs. Impeccable clean with great service from the staff. The restaurant buffet breakfast and lunch is amazing with such a variety of choice to suit any pallet. Only criticism would be the pool and gym are not inclusive in the room price and additional payments are required to use these.
Right next to Hiroshima train station and close to the bus station too. All sights in Hiroshima easily accessible. Breakfast was ok. Rooms were of Sheraton standard.
