Won’t recommend ”
After a long bus ride, need to drag the luggage up the slope in the thick snow. Greeted by grumpy staff & the shuttle bus driver is unfriendly too. The bed is Super narrow n there’s only 1 power point inside a family room. Onsen is only open in the night n not like how it was shown where u can watch the beautiful snowing scenery.

Resort next to ski ”
We booked online and was given the South wing. We had the room facing the parking and room. In winter, it was beautiful to see everything in white! Enjoyed our 2 nights stay there!

Its all about the skiing”
This is not a new hotel.... its expensive and the meals are way over priced, small but comfortable rooms... superb onsen... but its all about the skiing and the facilities and arrangements for skiing are excellent.. its metres away from the slopes and a lift which opens up the whole superb shiga kgen slopes its also easy to get to with a bus service from Naganom station.

Suitable for hardcore skiier”
location, friendly staff
I think my experience will be quite different if I stay in the West Wing. I am slightly disappointed that there's only one staff who can speak English. The selection of food is not great but it's acceptable. The ski rental is ok except with boots, as they only offer Atomic. I am not allowed to use the public bath because I don't stay in the West Wing. The room is clean and the water pressure is awesome ! I think I would recommend for those who just want to ski non stop and careless about the rest...

Ski in ski out 3 star hotel”
Ski in ski out, views, gondola access from lobby
Overall hotel is a reasonable 3 star property with stunning views and direct access to slopes. The property is in need of an update and the food choices are over priced and average. A better option is to head to the nearby village of Ichinose for meals.

good location for ski area”
location, big room, shuttle services
- it's very convenience to take bus from Nagano Station ( bus stops at east exit ). there are three sites for Prince hotel, and i stay in the middle ( south wing) , and there is shuttle running in between punctually. - Not much entertainment provide there after day ski, but the bed was good, so sleep early also great to gain back energy. - Also, a hot bath area ( not onsen, but big hot water bath) locate at west wing only, its easy by taking shuttle there or have a night walk around 5-8 minutes on the road; still very enjoyable. - Food is quite expensive there and not much choice. i rather bring some food there by myself. - There is no hot water boiler inside room. they provide you a tall size vacuum water bottle which you can get hot water from the water heater at lift lobby, which i always walked few times a night to refill, which is quite tiring after a day's ski.

Youth hostel in Vladivostok ”
Can't tell.
As the title says, this hotel (at least it's west wing) has the charme of a youth hostel in Vladivostok in the early 1980s. Enough said.

Great location but a very tired hotel”
Ski out front door. Onsen
It would have been great in 1998 but it seems nothing has been done since . Rooms are single beds - they will not make doubles ?? No wifi in room - it is 2015 right?? Great for ski big snow boarding but we would look elsewhere next time. It could be great but all they need to do is go to green leaf- niseko and see how it's done right

A below average ski resort. ”
I have to say this is so far the worst ski hotel I have stayed in Japan. First of all, the room is tiny!! We have 2 medium size luggage and there is no space in the room that we could have both luggage fully open even after we moved all the small furniture to one side. Secondly, most of the hotels I been to in Japan their staffs are usually quite helpful even if they don't speak fluent English, but not this one. When we first arrived at the hotel, there were only 2 person behind the check-in counter. One was on the phone and the other just doesn't want to help us with the check-in and my guess is that he doesn't speak much English. Another problem with this hotel is the ski locker that they provide which is also too small. Me and my friend have one set of ski and snowboard each but the locker they provide will only fit 1 set of equipment the most. Even if you have 2 set of snowboards, it still wouldn't fit into the locker. I also help another 3 friends to book a family room which suppose to fit 4 person and that is tiny too. I will never come back to this hotel again and FYI. the mountain behind prince hotel is not too big. We finished all the tracks in just 4 hours and I am just considering myself an intermediate level.
