This hotel is in a good location near Love River and MRT stations so getting around to tourist sights was easy. Rooms are a good size and clean and the location is quiet at night for a good rest. Staff were friendly and helpful.

The rooms were big and nice . There is a bath tub inside the toilet. Toilet is big but be careful the floor is slippery . There is a sign letting you know of the slippery floor . Staff are friendly and will help you . Nearest train station is city council station.

Good choice 3 star hotel”
Shihzuwan Hotel-Love River is located near the station which is just 2-3 minutes walk from the station. The lobby, hallway and room are newly furnished. The room is big with a king size bed. The room is clean and comfortable. The staff is very polite and helpful. It worths the money you pay.

I switched to this Shihzuwan hotel when I saw the last minute promotion at agoda. It's in a convenient location, about 5 min walk from MRT. The room is spacious. Staff were helpful. The toilet design is a bit old fashioned but still clean and has everything needed. Better if it had unlimited supply of bathing soap and shampoo. I didn't try the breakfast as we needed to catch the morning train.

Fantastic brand new hotel in great location”
Each time we come to kaoshiong we stay at shiziwan. We have stayed at their original hotel near the train station 3 times and love everything about it. Now their is a new one, it is much larger, in a great location, there is free undercover parking underneath. It is about a 10minute walk straight down the road to Love River. I was particularly impressed with the mirror in their bathrooms. Their mirror contains a special anti-fogging device in the shape of a 30cmx30cm square so that even after your shower you can still see yourself. That is something I havent seen before anywhere else. The beds are very comfortable, the tv channels are all there, everything is clean. It also contains universal power sockets so no need for adapters. There is broadband internet in the room for a charge. But you can go downstairs and use it for free in the ADSL room. If there is one small thing to be picky about, is that their bath tub is too narrow which makes it difficult to stand, you feel like you might fall over sideways. Other than that, stay here, you wont be disappointed.

We live in Kaohsiung but I chose to book a hotel for my wife's birthday, mainly to enable her to get up later than she usually would in order to go to work the next day! The hotel is in a great location with restaurants and shops, the MRT and Love River close by. The staff were friendly and professional. I'd be happy to recommend it to others.

this shihzuwan hotel is only 5mins drive away from the liu he night market which is a trademark night market of khaoshiong and if you finish touring the night market, theres also another place where you can shop the night away which is call xin jue jiang and its a place where youngsters like to hangout and do their shopping

Walking distance to Liuhe, Love River and main shopping district. Close to subway and only couple of stops to Bayfront or Cijin Island for day trip. Great to start off with for a first time visit to Kaohsiung.

5-7mins walk from the MRT station”
this hotel is located about 5-7mins walk from the train station. it's away from the hustle and bustle of the city so it can get pretty quiet in the night. not advisable to walk alone in the streets in the night. it's also located about 10-15 mins walk from love river. love river is a little similar but slightly quieter than singapore's clarke quay. the hotel staff are very helpful and friendly. breakfast is nothing great but good enough to fill the tummy.

Fantastic Hotel - 5 stars!!!”
I go to Kaohsiung every year and by far, this is my favourite hotel. It is new, it is in great condition, very clean, and has great in-room features. A spa tub, a TV in the bathroom, international plugs, everything is functional, staff are very friendly, there is free parking downstairs. Breakfast is included and decent. Close by there is 7-11, Liuhe nightmarkets, Train station. Highly recommended for all travellers.

Convenient Location. Great self-laundry service”
The hotel on the whole is good. Friendly staff & buffet breaskfast with great variety(though not totally delicious). My quad room got ample space & the staff was friendly, always willing to help & provide sight-seeing info. Above all, the thing I appreciated most was the self-help laundry service which is particularly helpful during my 2 weeks Taiwan trip. Nevertheless, I expected the room(which was named " Deluxe Love River Quad') I booked would have a view on Love River, it turned out just have a city view on some old buildings. The name of the room was misleading and disappointed me. Besides, I stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and found out that the cleaners did only tidy up the beds, changed the towels & rubbish bags. They didn't really do any dusting & clean the floor. Lots of hair & rubbish could still be found on floor of the room & washroom.

Very nice hotel”
I came with my girlfriend and her parents and everything was great about this place aside from the buffet breakfast which was not very hot and of limited choice. Rooms were big and very modern. Everything was clean. Check-in was a breeze and staff were friendly. The location was good, it was only about a 10 minute walk from lots of things such as the Love River. In all we were very happy with our stay.

This is a very nice hotel so far among my previous 3 hotels. Hotel is nice with pleasant help from the staff in the main corridor. Room are nice and big. Though the location is a bit far from station but it is a walking distance of 10 minutes. Nothing at night except the love river at night.

Clean and comfortable city hotel”
I stay 2 nights, very clean and comfortable room, just a few mins walk to subway, 5-8 mins walk to Love River. Friendly staff who assist us to call taxi every time. Nice coffee shop serves drinks and cakes with resonable low price. But the water pressure is too low during shower in the washroom, a bit noisy in the corridors because of many China and Taiwan local tours stay. The room rate is a bit high, but the overall comment is good. I will stay here again if I go Kaoshiung next time.
