Fantastic hotel with awesome Service ”
The hotel is great and the staff service is just awesome. They are friendly, sincere and generous. The only feedback is the bathtub is huge and no handle to assist in getting in & out, which could be a bit dangerous as it gets slippery. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Thank you to the staff & management.
Quiet Hotel ”
This is the hotel to be if all you want is privacy and being away from everything. We found it to be a bit inconvenient. Definitely needs a car to travel around or get to the hotel. Nice restaurant but unfortunately extremely limited option for vegetarian like us. Staff were very courteous and helpful
A Relaxing Vacation Away from the Crowds”
Stayed here for 2 nights. Our room with the onsen overlooking the lake couldn't be more perfect. Soaking in the onsen while it was snowing outside was divine. The room was very spacious and very clean. The food, especially the beef, was excellent. I would suggest that you book the hotel shuttle service in advance as it gets fully booked. We felt like annoying gaijins with our big luggage in the local bus, so we opted to get a taxi to get back to the city. There is not much to see in Shikotsuko except for the snow festival when we were there. Not much foreign tourists around. It was a secluded, quiet place was what we were looking for so it all worked out. Overall, I highly recommend this place. I would love to go back probably in autumn.
Simply amazing ”
This hotel offers all the relaxation and luxury you could desire. It was not overly crowded, it was peaceful and lovely. If you get breakfast and dinner included, know that the food is entirely Japanese (no western food) and is very heavy on seafood. We loved it!
Nice hot spring, surrounded by mountains and lake. Staff can improve on language skills, they were not able to help me book a restaurant in sapporo for dinner even though I gave them the name of the restaurant...
Very relaxing & welcoming atmosphere, and a great value for money.”
I stayed for 1 night in the "Japanese Western Style Room with Open-Air Bath - Adult Only" room for around the cost of 30,000 Yen. The booking only included breakfast; dinner was an additional 8,000 Yen / person (we didn't add dinner, but I believe it was Teppanyaki). The room was very nicely decorated. It was spacious and had a private open-air backyard-like area with the private hot springs. It was very well maintained and there was also a capsule machine with coffee & tea free to consume. The front-desk staff were very friendly as well. Due to the location being quite remote, the hotel also runs free shuttle service to the Minani-Chitose station (otherwise you'll have to take the bus or drive). There's not much to do in the area except for sight-seeing or hiking, but it was very relaxing to stroll through the area and enjoy the views of the lake & mountains.
Amazing honeymoon hotel ”
Amazing location Impeccable service Outstanding food Beautiful onsen Could not recommend this place enough!
Wonderful service & nice facilities
Great Resort ”
Very well kept.. in the heart of Lake Shikotsu. It's not a direct view to the lake, as it's blocked by some trees. But do get the lake view ones or you'd be facing the car park! One will need to do at least half board at the hotel as nothing is really open at night at Lake Shikotsu and other resorts do not accommodate non- resident diners.
Pros- great huge room with all ammenities. Hotel is well kept. Loved the breakfast which was so generous. My sis in law got upgraded to a room with a private onsen! The public onsen was lovely- I enjoyed it lots. Cons - view from room not exactly lake view as it’s obstructed by lovely autumn trees. Not much food options around lake shikotsu so dinner at the hotel is the only way to go!
Great place ”
Pros: - huge bathtub - clean room - very helpful and patient staff - almost 24 hours inhouse onsen (Only closed for 1 hour) - provides lotion, toner, bath, shampoo, conditioner, face wash.. clothes for public places, shoes and socks. Cons: - far from town (Kitchen closes around 10pm and the nearest restaurant is 30 minutes drive away ) A great place to stay. Provides parking. So recommend people who have plan for road trip to go. The surrounding was really nice also. There are some restaurants and cafes nearby but they close quite early. There are swan peddle boats nearby, but weather was too cold when we went, so we did not try. Overall a great place to stay in. Service was superb!
Everything is awesome”
I booked this as a last stop for my hokkaido trip. This service was excellent and the onsen was great. Rooms were big and clean. Do note however that the there is no Wi-Fi in this hotel but not a big problem as I rented a Wi-Fi router for my trip.
Seriously overprice though dinner is great!”
They charge 420USD a night for a room with no view and, to be honest, quite small for the price, although it's half board but a room with no view? Dinner is great and all but the room is a letdown... Staff here are the redeeming quality they have going for.
I love this hotel”
Hubby and I stayed one night at this hotel in mid-January (self-drive, so access was not an issue). Upon checking in, I found a reading lamp not working and the staff came to check and moved us to another room without delay. The room was nice, though the lake view was obstructed a bit by the parking space. The onsen facilities here are excellent. We did try both the public and private ones and absolutely loved the experience. Breakfast was good. Overall, very impressed with this hotel and what they had to offer.
Rooms was fantastic and service was top notch. Breakfast and dinner was also good. Beautiful view and scenery. 5/5
A wonderful stay experience! Perfect location. It is really near the station. The facilities and meals are great , too.
1st class service, ”
Open air onsen is good, next to lake and staff are professional, exclusive dining experience
have private hot spring rooms and nearby Lake Shikotsuko”
what a pretty that we arrived at around 2200 and need to checkout at 1000 tomorrow that had insufficient time to take a private hot spring there. It has been put into my re-visit list.
nice lake nice onsen nice food”
overall good ryokan experience with private onsen
Staff was attentive, helpful, and very accommodating. Private onsen was the bomb! We got an amazing view and the room was really spacious and nice. Breakfast and dinner was delicious.
