This tall, modernly styled hotel is located in Toyotsu-cho, directly in front of the Esaka Station. The proximity to the station makes sightseeing cheap and easy, and business travelers will find the hotel conveniently placed for the Umeda commercial district. All hotel rooms have the latest facilities, including satellite TV, a mini bar, and high speed Internet access. Guests have the option of booking non-smoking rooms while ladies can stay in one of six special ladies rooms that have extra personal toiletries. Shin-Osaka Esaka Tokyu REI Hotel also has a delicious and reasonably priced on-site restaurant, lively bar, and beauty salon.

Stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The counter service staff were very helpful. Liked the excellent location... Tokyu hands, Diaso, ABC mart.. all just next block.. The hotel has a special Ta-q-bin service which we use to send a luggage to be picked up at the airport (same day delivery). They charge only 1,500 yen per luggage and that enables us to do lots of shopping nearby. We did not eat at the hotel restaurant as there were lots of eateries nearby. It is also convenient if one wants to visit the Expo garden.... by taking the subway and change to the monorail.
Great Location with subway access”
The hotel is less than 5 min to osaka subway midosuji line (Esaka station) . This line can lead to various famous station eg: Shin-Osaka/ Namba / Umeda station. Very convienent for food, restaurant pharmacy/drug store where u can buy many beauty products.
Convenient location, near MRT with "Lift" ”
It was 5 of us, my husband, older son 15, younger daughter 3 and my dad. It was convenient location, a few step from Subway with has "lift" facility, convenient for luggages and stroller. Lots of local shops around with 24 hours family mart & fast food restaurant. The room is clean with daily make up & towel change every day. Room size is decent for japanese double bed 1.4m standard but the toilet consider quite spacious. I will stay in REI hotel, Esaka if I am back to Osaka and would recommend this hotel.
excellent location, value for money”
Overall stay was good. Though i didn't expect to see a cockroach in the bedroom. after a long day from sightseeing, wanted to relax when a strange sound distracted me when i was lying in bed, and to my horror, a cockroach was creeping around. boyfriend tried to hit but to no success. So we decided to change room. When we went to the new room, it was much smaller. Our 1st experience to a tiny cosy room in japan. We couldn't move around much. but had a good sleep after. overall, location was excellent with lots of shops around and opposite the subway. lots of eating places and a supermarket nearby too. Will go again but a bigger room next time.
Stay in Shin Osaka Hotel”
We stayed 1 night in Shin-Osaka Tokyu Inn, but got good impression as well as stay experience. The staff was friendly even with so-so English. The staff response was quick. The room was clean. The efficient thing for travel is the hotel is located close to train station. And also close to shopping and local restaurants. Internet connection was fast.
Great Location (close to downtown) with good price”
Room is a bit small, typically found in japan's business hotel. Overall, it is clean and tidy with its location not too far away downtown. Moreover, there are several supermarkets, fast food shops like McDonald, MOS burger,... Many restaurants within 5-mins walk. I would be satisfactory as a business traveller.
Good Location, Good Value”
we had a very nice stay at this hotel. we had originally booked into another hotel via another hotel booking website but as the hotel was not available for the night of 6th october booked this hotel with agoda planning to move onto the other hotel on the 7th october for the rest of our stay in osaka but after staying at the other hotel on the night of the 7th we cancelled the rest of our booking there ( because of the very small bed) and moved back to this hotel. the yen buffet breakfast is excellent value.
Excellent location near to train station”
Best part of the hotel was the extremely close proximity to Esaka Station, which is along the Midosuji Line (where Umeda & Namba station are). Nice food joints around the hotel too. Room was a little tiny for a couple even though I got the Double Deluxe, after opening my luggage there was literally no space to walk, but that’s quite common for hotels in Japan. Other than that, the room was really clean. Didn’t really use the facilities so can’t comment. Overall, a decent hotel for the price.
Good value but quite a travel from city center”
Room was nice and comfortable. Accessible to the train station. There are a number of restaurants on the ground floor and Tokyu Hands too. Although I found it a bit from from city center - i think it was 10-15 min train ride. But overall it was a good stay!
When checking out, I forgot one of my souvenirs in the room. I called the front desk as soon as I realized I forgot it and they made sure that it wasn't thrown out when the room was getting cleaned. They held on to it for the rest of the day, until I was able to return to pick it up.
If you are looking for cozy place nearby train station, this place is perfect fit. If you are looking for holiday which requires a few day stay, I recommend to go to stay at other hotel as this hotel's location is perfect but room is very small.
Awesome and relaxing stay ”
Booked a smoking room and mistakenly realised this afterwards when I should have booked a non smoking room. Room that was allocated to me didn't have any smell of cigarettes :) Room was bigger than expected and could place all my 3 pieces of luggage with room to move. Lovely and clean. Plenty of English signs To help u navigate the hotel. Room service was tidy. Very modern and felt spacious in a Japanese city.
Accessible even on crutches!”
I only stayed two nights not long after I broke my foot. I needed to get to work and it was very close to a subway station - which also had lifts. There were nice places to eat, shopping areas and supermarkets nearby and the ride to Osaka station was only 14 minutes. It had a beautiful entrance hall (after you got to the second floor where reception was) and the staff were very friendly and spoke some English. They have eco friendly programs on so that you don't have to have your sheets changed every day - they'll just tidy your room - and you can also hand in counters at the front desk to stop them throwing out the bathroom toiletries when you haven't used them. It has shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hair brush, tooth brush and tooth paste, and much more so you that if you stay on a spur of the moment you'll be fine! I never ate there but I'm sure that its as good as the rest of the hotel.
Great location, good neighborhood”
The location of this hotel is perfect: Right next to Esaka Stn. The room was very small, but clean and comfortable. The neighborhood around the hotel is interested and offers lots of options for dining.
Nice hotel in nice area”
I stayed with my wife in Shin-Osaka because we couldn't find a place in Kyoto to stay. It is about 5 minutes to the subway station (which is two stations from Shin-Osaka, where we took the Shinkansen). The area has several restaurants and groceries stores. The staff was nice and the room was very clean. The only con is that it didn't have many power outlets, but nothing we couldn't work with.
Room is very small”
The location is good right next to the subway station and find the supetmarket across the hotel very convenient. The staffs speak little English but helpful. The only thing we find is carrying the luggages up the subway stairs.is challenging. The triple room is very tiny compare to what you see on the photos we have no where to open our luggages except on the bed. It felt like they gave you a twin room and squeeze a sofa bed in.
Clean & very well arranged room”
The hotel is on the second floor where the ground floor is a small shopping zone. The room is super clean and very well organized just as how Japanese is. The hotel is very near subway train station and surrounded area has many restaurant & convenient stores.
The hotel is easy to locate at Esaka Station, just a few seconds walk to reach. Check-in was a breeze and there is a supermarket, lifestyle store and tax-free drugstore at the building. Room is very clean and the cleaner arranges a pot of water for our drinking everyday.
Not a very pleasant stay”
the size of room is a complete disaster! super small with a semi-double bed, but then there's no room to walk after putting our suitcase. The size of the toilet is actually more spacious! Hotel is well located next to the train station and it is attached to a shopping mall, behind the mall there are more shops like uniqlo.
close to subway”
The hotel is only three minutes walk from Esaka subway station, about 8 stations from downtown. The room is very small, nowhere to put luggage, but it is clean and warm. It is quite old hotel, located on the second floor of a shopping mall. There are many shops and restaurants nearby. The checkout process is very quick.
