A lovely stay at Shinagawa Prince Hotel”

The room is tastefully decorated to provide a comfortable stay. It has a magnificient panoramic view of the city. The reception areas at the lobby is wide and welcoming. The staff are very courteous and helpful. There are convenient shops located around the lobby floor. Restaurants and supermarket are just around the corner. Shinagawa JR station is just next to the hotel. It makes travelling in Tokyo and to other parts of Japan with ease.
The semi twin room is slightly small in size but not too cramp.

Our stay at Shinagawa Prince Hotel was a right decision we have made. Firstly we were pleased with the twin room that we have booked. The room was tastefully done and it was comfortable for a good night rest. From the room, we could see the panoramic view of the city. The night scene was beautiful. It provides that feeling of space and beauty of a cosmopolitan city. One of the advantage of staying at Shinagawa Prince is that the Shinagawa JR station is just right at the doorstep. You could take the train to any parts of Japan. Travelling in and around Tokyo becomes a breeze to any travellers. Around the hotel vicinity there are restaurants, convenient shops and supermarket to meet the traveller's needs. The hotel staff are very resourceful and helpful in attending to guest's enquiry. You could hardly get lost with their valuable help. Above all we had a memorable stay at Shinagawa Prince Hotel.

Shinagawa Prince”

The Shinagawa Prince offers a lot of stuff to do as in the retaurants and shops located within the hotel- as well as the bowling alley. Secondly, it is conveniently located across the street from the Shinagawa Station - which was very convenient if you are travelling to/from the Airport via JR.
not much

The Shinagawa Prince Hotel was a great hotel with excellent ammenities as well as a very good location. The hotel has it's own arcade, bowling alley, mall, restaurants and is adjacent to a lot of attractions-those of which include a water park. But what I really liked about the Shinagawa Prince was is prime real estate. It is convenient located next to a JR station- the Shinagawa Station. This made getting to the railway very convenient as you just need to cross the street. The Shinagawa Prince also has good restaurants and department stores within walking distance to the hotel itself. I reccomend staying at the Shinagawa Prince if you plan on staying in this area. Shinagawa district is also pretty close (via JR) to other popular districts like Shibuya, Harajuku, Shinjuku, and the Tokyo Station.

A wonderful stay that made all the difference!”

Great location. Hotel links to neighbouring mall and one padestrian crossing from Shinagawa Train Station.

Highly recommended. From check-in to check-out, and everything in between, we couldn't have asked for more. Cleanliness is very important to us and Shinagawa Prince impressed us. The rooms and amenities are clean, especially the toilet, and the overall condition of the hotel is well maintained. Service was above expectation. Unlike other hotels in Tokyo, Shinagawa Prince houses its own entertainment complex complete with two floors of bowling, several cinema halls, an aquarium (dolphin show), retail outlets, indoor sports, kids fun rides, etc. What stood out as a plus point was its location - about a five-minute walk via the hotel link way to the adjacent mall and one pedestrian crossing to Shingawa Strain Station (JP rail, Shinkansen, etc). The hotel is also one of the stops from Narita Airport via the Airport Limo, as well as a pick-up point for the local tour agencies. The concierge service for luggage (after check-out) is superb - you need not worry about your luggage as they are brought out to the bus waiting area, tagged and ready to be loaded at the point of departure. We'll definitely be staying there again on our next trip!

Shinagawa Prince Hotel, Tokyo”

1) Attractive pricing 2) Airport limousine bus stops at hotel entrance 3) JR station right opposite to hotel 4) Comfortable hotel room 5) Extensive recreational facilities 6) High service standard 7) Plenty of restaurant choices for breakfast
1) Not too many shopping malls around the hotel area

We had stayed for 3 nites at the Shinagawa Prince hotel in Tokyo. I was amazed by the high service standard, guest room and hotel facilities. All my requests upon reservation were fully fulfilled and they even offered me a late check-out till 3 pm for the evening flight on departure day. Also, airport limousine bus stops at hotel entrance avoid the hassel of carrying luggages to JR or subway station upon arrival and departure. We got 1,000 yen hotel voucher for dining or recreational use from the no room make up program (Green program) which is also a credit. Overall, we enjoyed our stay very much at Shinagawa Prince hotel and it will be our first choice hotel if we ever come to Tokyo again.

Great location but small rooms, nice view”

Great hotel , value for money

It is a great hotel and location. You can't miss this landmark of Shinagawa. The main station to all access of the train lines. On arrival at Haneda airport and after the immigration and custom checking we are out by 11pm. A bit loss but still managed to find our hotel by taking a train direct to Shinagawa station. Out of the station, you can find Prince Hotel right in front of you. Japanese people are very helpful, just ask and you will find your way. We have a great time in Tokyo and many interesting places we went and experience without much trouble. The hotel staff was very helpful and friendly, they even explained and mapped you the destination where you want to visit. I would recommend anyone to stay in Shinagawa Prince Hotel because it is so convenient and value for money. Oh yes, I extended my stay for the rest of my trip. Can you believe it!

Great Location Nice Room”

Location, Food Choices, and Efficiency

We chose to take the train to Shinagawa station and walk to the hotel. The station was really huge - it took us a while to find our bearing and the right direction to the hotel. No problem with luggages as the hotel is just across the road. Checking in was efficiently done and we got into our room very quickly. We stayed on high floor which gave us a nice view of the railway tracks and surroundings although a lower floor would have suited us just fine too. The room was fairly basic but functional. And yes, there is a small rebate for going green (no change of towels, making up of bed etc.) - we opted for it although we didn't use the rebate anyway, the savings is for meals and the options fairly restrictive in my view and too low a value to bother). Any concerns about food choices were quickly allayed as there are lots of choices - besides japanese food, there is a 24/7 convenience store and McDonald's just within the hotel compound. BTW, we didn't eat McDonald's, it would be a shame! Well, from the train station about 100m on the left before crossing over to Shinagawa Prince is Shinatatsu where there are 7 famous Ramen shops at the basement. There are more food in the station and on the other side of the station. It was with much regret that being our first time in Tokyo, we spent lots of time out of Shinagawa. We would have spent more time around the hotel/station if we stay there again. There are many hotel choices but we will certainly consider staying in Shinagawa Prince again!

The Prince is fit for Royalty”

We recently spent three nights at the Shinagawa Prince - which is very conveniently located right across the Road from the Shinagawa Railway Station (one of the main stations in Tokyo and is on the JR line from Osaka to Tokyo). We stayed on the Main annex in a double room on the 30th floor- which had sensational views of the area to Tokyo. The room had a Queen bed with bedside tables, a desk and chair and a small table and arm chair - so was quite roomy. The bathroom although compact had everything you could possibly want including the state of the art toilet and Shisheido hair and body products. Additional amentities such as robes slippers and hairbrushes, razors, toothbrushes etc were all replenished daily. There was a large LCD screen on the wall but unfortunately only CNN was in English. There was an ice machine and coin operated laundry on several floors throughout the building. Although the complex was super huge it never seemed crowded and the lifts were fast and efficient. The complex includes Tennis, Golf, Indoor and outdoor pool as well as ten pin bowling at reduced rates for guests. Breakfast was included in our tariff and we had a choice of six restaurants. Highly recommended - value for money in Tokyo.

Great Location”

Location, shopping centre and facilities within

The hotel is just across the road from Shinagawa Station, Takanawa Exit, making it an ideal hotel to be based in Tokyo, for trips outside of Tokyo etc. The East Tower is probably the oldest amongst the Shinagawa Prince Hotels - there's the Main Tower, Annexe Tower etc. The hotels are all linked to one another which can be quite confusing at first but you'll soon get the hang of things. There're shops selling souvenirs, foodstuffs, etc within the complex and a convenience store onsite, so you can get some shopping done. Hotel rooms are cheaper for the East Tower but they are still clean and comfortable as one would expect for Japanese hotels.

a small but well-equipped room with good view”

hospitable, efficient, friendly staff; convenient, superb location; clean, cozy room

This is one of the most pleasurable stay I've ever had. We spent four nights at Shinagawa Prince Hotel, and believe me, it was far worth the price. We checked in early in the afternoon, and the rooms were not ready, the front desk clerk was very nice and efficient, we were kept waiting for no more than 20 minutes. The rooms were well-equipped and cozy, with the magnificent view of Tokyo Tower. The JR station was no more than 3 minutes from the hotel that made our travel around Tokyo city cheap and easy. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to travel light and even with family.

Great and warm experience at Shinagawa Prince Hotel”

We have stayed at Shinagawa Prince Hotel for many times when we traveled to Tokyo, as its location is very convenient. We have experienced very cordial and warm service every time and especially this time. Our kid broke the wall paper (a little corner) of our hotel room incidentally. We felt very sorry and told the hotel staff. They weren't mad with us at all, and actually they repaired the wall paper without charging us at all. I think this is a very valuable lesson for the kids, as they did something wrong but they also learned how they can treat others' mistakes, if those mistakes aren't on purpose. Thank you again Prince Hotel for giving us such a warm and great experience.

Consider this location”

Shinagawa is a convenient place to connect to the transport network in Tokyo especially if you are planning to take a short trip out of Tokyo on the shinkansen. The Shinagawa Prince Hotel is across the street from the station and around the area are interesting eating places. There is an excellent bakery nearby. The supermarket and food shops around the station is a foodie's paradise - from the very expensive to those value for money meals and snacks. the Shinagawa Prince Hotel which is part of a cluster of hotels has excellent staff who will go the extra mile. I had a box of grapes mailed to me from outside Tokyo - they arrived at the hotel and the staff ensured that they were handled appropriately. The airport bus stops in this hotel which makes transfer to and fro the airport hassle-free.

Good location & service ”

Great location just opposite JR station and nearby many eatery shops served nice food. We returned to same hotel after 3 days Kyoto trip. this time i changed my room booking to N Tower for 4 more nights stay. however, room are much smaller than that in Main Tower & aircon was weak & rooms are hot. After my feedback, we were allowed to change rooms back to main tower the next day as that day hotel was fully occupied. The next morning counter staff took initiative reminding me the transfer & made necessary arrangements for my luagges transfer. Of course, I need to top up for bigger room but was very reasonable. Notice that lobby staff are very attentive for customers need help. well done & Thanks to the staff who had helped us on 31st Mar & 1 Apr 18 for transfer. We will come back to Shinagawa Prince Hotel for my next visit to Tokyo.

Shinagawa Prince Hotel”

- very convenient location - 1 min from the Shinagawa station - friendly service - lots of dining and shopping just outside the hotel - clean air-conditioned rooms
- rooms are small - bathroom is really small - windows are even smaller

It was my first time in Japan and I speak absolutely no Japanese. I stayed in Shinagawa Prince Hotel for two nights, so I had 1.5 days to explore Tokyo. I reserved my room well in advance via Agoda (Asia based) agency and everything worked just fine. The price was right and when I needed to change my itinerary by one day, I received a prompt service. So, when I arrived to Shinagawa Station (which is on the circle JR line – important if you have limited time), the hotel was right in front of me and I had no trouble to find it. The check in was quick and simple. The rooms are clean, but very small by American (and even British) standards , but everything was in order and worked. High speed internet is available for about $10 for 24 hours. I would definitely stay in Shinagawa Prince Hotel again if I am in Tokyo.

Great location across from Shinagawa Station

i was very impressed with this hotel. the location is great. just walk across the street and you're in shinagawa station, where you can shop and dine. we arrived late at night due to flight delay out of sfo. the lobby is very nicely decorated. check-in took a little longer than we'd like. the room was clean and spacious. we only stayed for one night and left the next day early in the morning for kyoto. we got back to tokyo a few days later, but booked at a different hotel (four seasons), which is a great hotel, but not in a convenient location. for the convenience and value, i wish we stayed in shinagawa prince the whole time we're in tokyo.

Best location for Tokyo”

Location next to Shinagawa Station. Availability of Rooms. Ease of access.

Shinagawa Station is the best station for access to all parts of Tokyo. The problem with Tokyo, Shinjuku and Shibuya Station is that they're SO massive, if you get off at the wrong exit GOOD LUCK... you'll be walking for hours. Also, at Shinagawa Station, it's easy to find the appropriate track. Shinagawa Prince Hotel is located 3 minutes walking distance from the station and for the price and room size-it's a great hotel. The ONLY downside is never, and I do mean NEVER, never pick the East Tower. It smells like an ash tray and is as big as a closet. This is truly the oldest tower and is terrible. Be sure to pick Main Tower, Annex Tower or N. Tower. These are all relatively new, clean and comfortable. These 3 towers are 4 out of 5 stars. East Tower is negative 12. Also, just know that the wifi in the hotel is ok for browsing and emailing-anything data intensive (I do video transfers a lot for clients), it's really, REALLY slow. All in all, great hotel, just avoid the East Tower.

again i would stay here for a year if i could. location key. shinagawa station is a stones throw away and that is a major train station if you are staying in tokyo for business and taking the bullet train. also the great restaurants nearby and delis' and bars its all so central. i love it. i don't think i would stay at another hotel if i didn't have to, i would really love to make it a company policy to stay here. thanks shinagawa prince hotel. we had a great stay here and i hope i can stay here again in the near future.

Shinagawa Prince - a Prince of a Hotel”

Great location for getting around Tokyo easily. It's a great business level hotel. Renovated upper level rooms in main tower were very nice.
Can't think of any!

Stayed at the Shinagawa Prince because it was the beginning of a GAP tour through Japan. It turned out to be the perfect location for getting around Tokyo, particularly if you have a Japan Rail pass as it sits on the JR circle line through Tokyo. The price through Agoda was better than the price offered by GAP for an extra night, plus it included breakfast which you can have at any of the hotel restaurants, but I recommend the big buffet! We loved the clean and tidy new rooms. The staff was excellent as well

The hotel is very conveniently located.”

1. Excellent location 2. A convenience store within the hotel premises 3. Friendly staff

It is very convenient living in Shinagawa Prince as several JR lines stop at Shinagawa Station. The hotel itself is like a small town with its own shopping centres, shops, restaurants, a food court and even entertainment facilities like cinemas and an aquarium and a bowling centre. The staff could speak English well and they are helpful and friendly. I propably will stay in Shinagawa Prince next time I visit Tokyo. The hotel is highly recommended.
