Huge mistake!
location, no rats, no cockroaches
Probably it is type of the hotel that you never want to visit unless you are forced to (low budget). The hotel has two stars and please remember that it does not mean the same as European two stars. It is a hotel for backpackers who are looking for cheap hotel with a hot shower. We ordered the suite type room and at first we get totally different one with incredible smell of smoked cigarettes. We had to complain. Pictures of the hotel available on the booking websites are totally inaccurate. The hotel probably looked like that 10-15 years ago and since that time never have been repaired (nor cleaned). But being more precise: - At the reception desk no one was speaking English (Chinese only). - Everywhere you feel the smell of cigarettes. Everywhere. - It is very loud. locators keep room doors open and discuss/argue till night. - It is even louder. Half of the room have windows on street side with restaurant open till midnight. At 6am you will wake up due to horns of the cars that get stuck in traffic jam next to your window. - The room is being cleaned almost every day but it is never clean. The curtains are deep gray instead of white, the dust in the floor corners seem to be there forever. For 4 weeks the table was cleaned two times only but for example the bedding was never changed. - The couch and chair is old, ugly and dirty, with plenty of dirty spots. - The closet was so smelly and dirty that we decided not to use it. - Once we wanted to have clean floor, I moved the table and showed cleaning lady where the dirt is. - Air conditioning was very dirty and dusty, the same windows and mosquito net. - The mold in the bathroom appears to be in every corner, the mirror was dirty all the time. - There is no free bottled water in the room, internet is incredibly slow, no wi-fi, no fridge, no LCD TV, no breakfasts. - Advantages: price, location, hot water all day, air conditioning works, nearby subway and bus stop.

Good location, but Chinesse Hotel for Chinesse
Location, Near to main atractions in Beijing, Location to metro subway, easy access
It is a place to stay one night, for longer time not at all. Not clean, breakfast only Chinesse food, no coffe or bread. Bathroom needs maintenance. Drinking Water in the room? you have to pay for the bottle, and so on.

Lovely hotel but poor English language
ideal place to walk to the sub way station and silk market
I stayed for two days in this hotel and the location is ideal except that the waiters have difficulty in speaking English.

Around 10 minutes walk to silk market and around 15 minutes walk to MRT station. the location is not really strategic. The service of the hotel is not good.

Just the essentials and a little more
Location, location, location
This was my third time staying at this hotel. The price is unbeatable for someone who's just looking for a cheap, clean, and comfortable hotel to spend a few nights in. This place is walking distance of the Silk Market and Yonganli train station. It comes with free internet service, which was quite fast. Unlike most hotels, the room doesn't come with refrigerator. However, to compensate that, it does come with free water. The AC works, the bed is decent, and they just renovated their elevator, so its a lot more modern. Try the resteraunt next door, if your up for some good spicy chinese food. Very inexpensive, and they give you a healthy serving.
