Amazing boutique hotel - don't bother looking anywhere else. Stay here!!”
Picked up at airport via luxury transport arranged by the hotel. Excellent introduction and explanation to the hotel and its facilities. Yes, it's a boutique hotel with only 12 rooms, but this ensures personal and dedicated service. No corporate pretension here, just plain and good old fashioned personal service and hospitality. Our room was on the ground floor and was very large and welcoming with excellent air-con. Wi-Fi works very well, never dropped. Welcome fruits and drinks when we got to our room were most welcome. The hotel organised our two full days of trips around the temples at very competitive prices. We have stayed in many hotels all over the world, but this hotel is up there at the very top. So difficult to find a fault with anything and everything conducted or organised by the hotel was perfect. We had to leave at 0500 in the morning and David, the hotel owner, went out of his way to drive us personally to the airport. Absolutely perfect service to finish.
We have found this hotel thanks to an internet offer, and the quality/price ratio is very convenient. The hotel is located in a silent street, just a few minutes away from the crowded and noisy central streets of Siem Reap. You can easily reach Angkor Wat in a few minutes by tuk tuk or car. The rooms, the restaurant, the swimming pool and the whole hotel are very clean, with a very attentive and polite staff. The owner David is a real caretaker of the hotel and he is always ready to help arranging your stay.
David picked us up at the airport with fresh coconuts to drink from and refreshing eucalyptus towels. His hotel is beautiful and a wonderful base in Siem Reap. I love that it was a little outside of the city and in a real neighborhood. They arranged a TukTuk to take us around to all the temples ($20 for the day). The food was really tasty and the pool was refreshing. The rooms are beautiful and the architecture is a great mix of modern and traditional SE Asian style. Book this place! It is great!
This boutique hotel, although slightly out of town, is nearer to Angkor Wat and the other temples. David the hotel owner couldn't be more helpful. The bed is the most comfortable that I have every slept in. The pool is small but perfectly adequate. The restaurant served lovely food. Excellent value for money
Amazing personal and friendly service. 24hr complimentary tuk tuk ferry service to town provided. The owner and staff are very accommodating and the owner himself drove us to the airport. Clean and cosy suites, tastefully designed. Cannot recommend more.
We had a beautiful time at Shintana. David, the owner and the rest of the staff really made an effort to make us feel welcome and at home. From the moment he picked us up at the airport, to the last day spent at the pool, we all had a great time. Little special touches and details made a difference. The food is really good and the facilities are beautifully kept. We would recommend this hotel and come back again. Thank you for a lovely stay!
5 star resort at affordable price”
Room was massive, welcome drink & complimentary food was amazing. Pool was being maintained clean all day throughout, whether or not there was any user. One thing noticeable was that they provided a car (as opposed to a tuk tuk) for the airport transfer. Everyone was supportive and friendly for any issue I raised. Cannot say enough to compliment and appreciate the staff. A few things just to balance my review: breakfast can be better, as is room service (considering the price); found a room bigger than mine cheaper towards the date of my arrival, which was annoying to be honest, but later I understood that this could be because of the decrease in the number of visitors (and that the resort would normally be fully booked); construction work going on in the main road (does not disturb your stay though)
Beautiful Boutique Hotel ”
Fancying a change from big hotels we chose this knowing it was a little bit out of the way but not too far...what a great choice! The hotel design is virtually brand new ScandiAsian fusion. So lovely typical use of lacquered hard woods and lovely local ornaments combined into a modern building using polished concrete, exposed brick and modern windows. The build quality is great which means working plumbing and clever international plug sockets. The rooms are huge and comfortable, the bathrooms fabulous and the bed very comfortable. There's tea and coffee facilities with lovely local ceramics and a Coffee machine too. There's a small salt water swimming pool in the peaceful garden and a small restaurant serving delightful food, they use beautiful local ceramics and bronze WMD cutlery, understated class which we love. The staff are wonderful, they make up the room and change the towels twice a day and leave little treats...it's like staying at your favourite aunties house.
We were lucky to get our room upgraded so that we can fully enjoy this marvelous hotel. There are only 9 rooms making us feel so relaxed. The boss and staff were nice and generous to us and kept offering us complimentarg food and drinks. My cousin got an injury on her ankle and she was well taken care of by them. Overall, it is the best hotel I have ever stayed, not only in Cambodia but in all other countries!
My husband and I travelled to Siem Reap for a birthday celebration and David and his team were beyond amazing. From the free airport transfers and delicious food to the surprise birthday cake, complimentary wine and upgrade to the 007 suite, I really couldn't have asked for a better. David is a lovely man and together with a great team, has created a beautiful place for visitors to stay. If you're looking for a place to explore Siem Reap, you will not be disappointed with Shintana Saya Residence.
We had just one night in Siem Reap and I'm so glad we stayed here. A little of the main road, this boutique hotel is a tranquil oasis from the hustle and bustle of town, but is an easy tuk tuk ride to Pub street or the night market. The staff was so helpful and welcoming from beginning to end, including Dave who was kind enough to give us a ride to the airport.
Stop looking further! One of the best hotels visited in the past few years.”
Small hotel with high level of hospitality and personal attention from staff. Clean, nice design, good atmosphere, big rooms. Our boy (4 year old) loved it. A nice detail is that they have a driver available to drive / pickup guests from/to town, airport, etc.
Fantastic boutique hotel, will return again!”
I’ve stayed at numerous int’l five star hotels all over over SE Asia and Shintara Saya easily rivals and oftentimes exceeds them with the fantastic service and care they provide to their customers. This boutique hotel not only offers the warm welcome that other guest reviews described (welcome drinks, snacks, fruits and wine) — David, the hotel owner, also upgraded us for free to a family room when he realized that we were traveling with two young children and wanted us to be more comfortable during our stay there. The room was spacious and clean, and the beds were very comfortable. Room service ensured that we always had cold bottled water in the fridge (and necessity in the hot weather) and clean towels to use when returned to our rooms. When we realized that we had forgotten to bring mosquito repellent, David’s staff went and bought us some. This type of personalized service is rare these days. Our kids also loved their pool and snacks from the restaurant.
Exceptional! Truly 5 star! ”
This place is phenomenal! From the moment you get picked up at the airport, the exceptional 5 star service begins. You are greeted with fresh chilled coconuts and refreshing aromatic hand towels followed by a red carpet greeting at the hotel with more refreshments and an amuse bouche. They go out of their way to make you feel overwhelmingly welcomed. The rooms were just as exceptional with vey comfortable beds and pillows and exquisite decor. The warmth and pampering continued in the room as we were greeted with more food! Platters with fresh cut fruit, cheese and cashews and a bottle of wine as well! The staff is very helpful with suggestions on things to do and even make reservations for you and he has tuk tuk drivers there 24hrs a day waiting to take you wherever you want to go. David, his staff, the restaurant and hotel exemplify what every five star should strive for. We cannot rave enough about this place & would make a special trip to Siem Reap just to stay here again.
Great staff, food and facilities. Relaxing quiet environment . Nothing to complain but just impressed with their hospitality. We will definitely come back when we have another opportunity to visit Siem Reap.
Best hotel I've ever lived!”
The best hotel I’ve ever lived in! The staffs are very polite and patient, the room is so comfortable with bright light, very well decorated and comfortable.all drinks are free and there is a capsule coffee machine in the room. Besides, they provide free rides to the city, so do not worry the commuting. All the details are amazing, definitely recommend!
An exceptional stay”
The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful! The room was spotless and was filled with welcoming touches. David the owner was amazing, he was incredibly friendly, helpful and made us feel at home at his residence! We highly recommend this place to anyone!
Quality of Service Unmatched”
Shintana is a hotel you don't want to leave. Every detail is thought through. Exceptional service and attention to fulfilling your needs. David, the owner is caring and generous. The staff are truly accommodating and wants you to have the best experience, not only at the hotel, but in Siem Reap. I highly recommend this place!
One of the best hotels I have ever stayed in!”
Every aspect of this hotel is perfectly thought out, and wonderfully calming and welcoming. It's a small hotel, so the staff are able to provide very personalized service. Everyone I interacted with always knew who I was, remembered my plans or upcoming Angkor excursions, etc. The owner is very present and a very friendly and gracious host. He personally drove us to the airport, and took extra care to make sure we always had whatever we need. The hotel effortlessly coordinates with drivers and tour guides for all Angkor excursions, provides transport to and from the city for dinners, etc. The room was beautiful, in pristine condition, fantastic decoration and design, and great lighting. The hotel grounds and pool/breakfast area are also beautiful and provide a great calming oasis after a long, sweaty day of temple touring. This is one of the few hotels I have stayed at in SE Asia where the quality standard is truly high even by Western standards. I recommend this hotel very very
