"Pros: The staff was great and even got upgraded to a room with a window :) they are also great to chat with and super friendly. It actually feels more like a dorm, than a hotel or hostel- not in a bad way. Free coffee and other beverages are served when requested. Decent coffee too! Better than getting from Costa which is right below the building. They use some good hardware so doors don't keep banging loudly. So it's been more quiet that I assumed, based on reviews here. (Save for 2/7 nights where a couple of guests people couldn't care less about the loud talking and banging.) The rooms are pretty private, requiring a door to be unlocked from corridor before entering 5 single rooms with shared toilet. Toiletries are provided and it's cleaner than expected also! Cons: Staying in London a bit longer and decided a 30-minute ride won't matter so much. But it did, unfortunately.. as the estimated 30minute turned out to be around 1hr depending on where you're going. The commute was too long for me. And I somehow thought it was advertised as Shoreditch, but actually farther out Hackney. My key card kept getting out of contact and for 3-4 times even had to go to reception to get it fixed. Temperature in my room was too warm one day and found that it was accidentally switched on to "warm" as told by staff. The bed and pillow aren't the comfiest. Blanket will keep you super warm though! And I think the windows have some thermal barriers, so if you're afraid of cold- no need to worry! Would stay again if only it was closer to the city!"

"I had a very pleasant stay. My event was just up the road so it was lovely to be able to walk back after a late night out. The room was big, the bed was comfy and everything was clean. As this apartment was right on the road , I was expecting it to be noisy and it was so I came prepared with ear plugs."
