Great Location, Great Rooms & Great Price”
We stayed at Shotover Lodge for 3 days in August 2011. The hotel is located about 5kms from Queenstown city. Our room was spacious and really clean. There were plenty of things to around the hotel as well. The hotel had a kitchen and a laundry and we found them to be very convenient. However, the view was not that great when compared to some other places in Queenstown.

Nice hotel near Queenstown”
it takes only few minutes of driving from Queenstown. The room is big and clean; and the area around is quiet. The lodge has a communal kitchen and you can use it to prepare your meal. Rather staying at Queenstown, I will definitely recommend staying at Shotover Lodge.

Awesome spot”
Located around our kilometres outside of Queenstown, Shotover lodge is located just before the turn off to Coroner Peak. We were very satisfied with the hotel during our stay and we couldn't fault the place for value. Would recommend to others looking for a budget place on be outskirts of Queenstown.

Great location 15min from Queenstown”
Clean and tidy, laundry facilities onsite and quick. We were on level 2 and the view from the balcony was great. Staff were welcoming and helpful with questions about the area. About 10-15min drive to Queenstown CBD and and easy 5min to the Shotover Jet location! Reliable wifi too.

Lovely hotel with great service”
Shotover lodge located quite far from the city center, so recommended to have your own transportation if choosing to stay here. Anyway, the plus points are: - nice & clean bedroom, with sofa & lcd - super complete kitchen + kitchenet at your room - clean bathroom on your own - cheap value compared to your stay - nice services from staffs Surely will choose to stay here again.

Wonderful Service and Great Accomodation for the Price”
I only stayed a week in Queenstown, and this was only a little more expensive than a hostel for the deal I was getting, but the experience was 100 times better than what I would've gotten. It's right next to the bus stop heading into Queenstown (about a 15 min ride), the staff were all super friendly, maid service was very nice, and just having my own comfortable room and bathroom was a fantastic plus. Definitely recommend!

Outstanding staff, great value”
We had a wonderful 2-nt stay at Shotover. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Jacob, at the front desk, far exceeded expectations when he helped get my backpack back to me after I left it in my room. Our room was clean, comfortable, with excellent wi-fi and kitchen facilities. We also enjoyed the grill and picnic tables. Good takeaway food is right next door.

Returning guest to Shotover lodge...Ideal location as it's not right in the town. Room was clean, bathroom sparkling, however the carpet had alot of stains on it which was rather off-putting (it looked damn right filthy, however it had been hoovered). I could tell that housekeeping had attempted to clean the stains, but without luck. I don't see why hotels don't just charge the customers who made the stain and replace the carpet. Or hire an industrial carpet cleaner. I kept my shoes on the whole time in the room as I didn't want to walk on the carpet in socks or feet. Not sure whether I'll return.

Very good value , perfect for travellers with car”
We had a big room with terrace with kitchenette, internet, barbecue, parking for only 120 NZD location was about 10 min drive from queenstown but this no problem if you have or own car or use the bus. very good value compared to in queenstown hotels.

A comfortable stay away from the city centre”
We only had a short stay of one night. The room was reasonably big for three of us. Basic cooking facilities were available. This hotel is situated in a quiet surrounding at Arthur's Point. Water activities at the historical Shotover bridge is close by. Bungee jumping at Kawarau bridge is about 30 minutes away. Many trails for hiking close by the motel.

Excellent accommodation, great communal facilities”
Rooms are comfy with microwave, toaster, kettle and mini fridge provided. The communal kitchen has all cooking utensils provided and the lounge area is nice, comfy and warm! Ample parking available so if you have a car, this place isn't far out of town but great savings to be made by staying here. The bus stop for Coronet Peak is just outside Coronet Hotel which is literally a 1 minute walk from the lodge.

Friendly Staff, Great Location, Very Tidy!”
The studio room is very tidy, has all the amenities that we need. I’d say we would enjoy the place more if we are here for a few more nights. They have a lounge and a communal kitchen. 10-min drive from town and the views are awesome! 2-min walk to the Onsen Hot Pools which I’d say is a must try too. Will recommend to our friends and family and definitely our place in Queenstown :-)

Only a short drive from Queenstown this property is truely stunning .The views are spectacular and the rooms are very clean . The receptionist was very accomodating to our needs. The beds are comfortable and the property is great value for money .A truely worthwhile experience.

My boyfriend and I had a great stay at the lodge. It was the perfect location. Our room was big and spacious with a deck and nice view. We spent Christmas here and it was very enjoyable. Comfy bed, tv, private bathroom and mini fridge. The only downsides were that you had to pay for wifi, and we found black hair all over the comforter and blanket in bed. Everything else was spotless. Would definitely stay again!

Comfortable Stay”
All in, our stay was for 5 consecutive nights over 2 separate bookings - one for a king studio and another for twin studio. But hotel responded to our special request and we were given king studio throughout our stay. Shower was good. Microwave and fridge is available. Daily housekeeping is available. However one of the downside is that the hotel is located about 8 minutes from Queenstown. If you have a car - no problem at all. Room conditions are good - no complains.

Bright and airy atmosphere, but you need a car”
This very well-designed modern lodge in a rural setting has everything to make a short or long-term stay perfect.Our twin room had a kitchenette and a sun-drenched balcony with table and chairs. If you seek company there is a fantastic communal kitchen and common room.

We liked everything about it. Do note that it is at Arthur's Point, a 10-15 drive out of Queenstown so it helps if you have a car.
