Just normal hotel”
This hotel had renovation and change its name. Location were good, accessible to many tourist attraction. The breakfast just normal. But the bed are old. My friend feel have spring on her back when sleeping which made her uncomfortable during sleeping. The receptionist were not nice as I request for extra room card as there are 2 people staying but he ignore and didn't answer my question twice.

Hotel quiet, but not far of the night life, walking distance. The room are comfortable and a good size. Good stall work there, friendly and helpful. I like this hotel, I go to this one many time, never disappointed. I recommend it.

Adequate hotel in a good location”
La Varenne is in a good location but has seen better days. Staff are lacklustre, breakfast was mediocre and room and bathroom, although big was in need of repair. However the price was VERY reasonable, about US$35, so considering the location it was good value for money. I saw another nearby hotel however that looked nicer and is only slightly more expensive and will try that next time.

The hotel is very well located. The last time I stayed at this hotel it was very new so everything was in very good condition, now I can see the wear and tear has taken a toll but maintenance is slacking but still it is good value for your money. Breakfast was just so so.

I stayed at the hotel 3 nights and the first night was in a very poor room, on the 4th floor. for some reason, there was loud water noises in the bathroom pipes throughout the night. Next day the staff moved me to the same room on the 10th floor and its far better - no water noises, better bed, better bathroom. 2 or 3 very good little restaurants and massage places just 20 meters around the corner

Hotel was comfortable and value for money. However critical improvement must be made for the breakfast which is quite a disappointment. On my first morning I had breakfast about 10.30am (albeit late) and the porridge was lumpy. The rest of the offerings were not up to minimum standards that's explain why the small number of people eating there. I would stay there and recommend people to stay as well due to overall comfort and cleanliness but please improve the breakfast.

Run down hotel with great location ”
Its a disappointing hotel but great location for sight seeing and food. Limited buffet breakfast and you can count the hotel guests. What i read on this site is not the same when we were there. Rooms are great but hotel is run down with less guests.

No Food”
There used to be a Restaurant besides the hotel and a bar in the hotel but both were closed now. Breakfast variety is not fantasy too. The hotel seems very quiet now as compared to last few year when I stayed there many times s in the past.

Breakfast is getting worse each time I stay”
There is no more eggs on one of the breakfast day. There is very little variety in the breakfast spread. I would suggest to the hotel to serve breakfast by letting the customer choose the breakfast set they wanted rather than the so call 'buffet' style. One room key was only given for 2 adults and it is causing great inconveniences. Housekeeping standard was not good. Small towel and bedroom slippers were not replenished daily despite tipping the staff and paying full day rates for 5 nights.

this trip booked deluxe room and check given a room full of dust. very disappointed with the housekeeping and no choice take a down grade at own expenses. this hd bn a major concern .... very poor housekeeping for quite sometime. hope management will taken action. before someone like me.a regular guess start moving.

This hotel is only good at maximum $30 a night and that is for a room on 9th floor with a view. Breakfast is so poor and only suitable for Chinese tourists. Europeans have higher standards.

Was charge $16 USD when checkout”
when checking out, was told by staff everything was OK. so I went to eat lunch at the restaurant, 20 minutes later the staff came to me and said I have lost 2 hand towels, and was charge $16USD if not I could not leave.

They need to inforce the none smoking area. Beds need upgrade , pure box spring no mattress.
