Perfect stay”
We are a group of 3 girls. I personally love this family feel stay so much. They won’t speak good English and we have trouble to communicate but those are not a problem. They try to do the best and they try to talk to us. Everyone in this resort are so nice especially the old man (grandpa) owner, I guess. Foods are excellent. All home made food even the miso soup! The best ever miso soup I drank and the best ever Strawberry I ate. Strawberry is from this family uncles’ farm directly and those are not for sale. If you are looking for Onsen, this resort may not be the choice. It has private onsen room to book and it is free of charge. There is a public onsen too. Those are quite small but it is suitable for us. Three of us love this stay so much.

One of the best Ryokan experience I ever had in my life”
Highly recommend! Thought it was a bit pricey in the beginning but the dinner and the breakfast totally worth it! even my Japanese boyfriend loved it so much. The staff speaks limited English but this didn’t ruin the experience at all! The private onsen was a hit as well! ありがとうございました！

It’s traditional Japanese house, you will need abit time to find the house at night, but there are clear direction showing the way. The food was abundant, traditional Japanese food. The room was large and comfortable, the host was very nice, Will recommend.

Wonderful family-operate homestay hotel, give you a truly traditional living and local japanese home-stay experience. The family owners are very generous and the dining area is spacious filled with nice home decor on every inch for photo-taking. The tatami bedroom have their own washroom but bathing is in a separate bathroom with private onsen by booking.

When we have encountered some problems, they helped us a lot. Which is very kind. And during breakfast, the host will come out and chat with us, this give us a feeling like being home. The environment is very tidy and clean, love the private Onsen a lot, very relaxing. The food is awesome and very traditional. We had a great time here. Definitely coming back if we visit aso again.

1.10 min walk from JR ASO station, we have 4 big baggages, thanks for the host to pick us up. 2.We stayed 2 night, originally we booked a 4-people room, at last they gave us 2-people room, felt so comfortable. There are toilet in the room, which is very convenient. 3.On the 2nd floor you can reserve private bath for 1hr, and there are public baths at 1st floor, basically only us use it because it was Monday. 4.The most impressive thing is their food,2 days were different and very delicious. The 1st day dinner were horse sashimi、baked vegetables, beef and fish、fried tempura、miso soup、ice cream. The 2nd day dinner were sashimi、beef sikiyaki、baked and fried fish、ice cream、plum wine...too much for us to finish! And there were 2 day snacks: red-bean rice ball and kumamon cake. 5.The supermarket besides ASO station sold sweet and big strawberrys, and you can walk 10 min to go to another big supermarket and DAISO near by. 6.My parents had a great time here, we spent ¥48000 per night.

This quiet hotel serves dinner and breakfast, both of which are most satisfyingly yummy. It is a traditional Japanese style accommodation with private onsen, which can be pre-booked when you check in. It is a 10-min walk from Aso train station, easily found via Google Map. Excellent service from friendly staff.

Amazing Ryokan Experience”
Traveling with my bestie and had an amazing Ryokan experience. Dinner and breakfast provided was superb. Dinner was like a 4-5 course meal and breakfast was also a good Japanese spread. There’s both public and private ryokan, private ryokan needs to be booked for the night (no booking for the mornings). Would totally come back again.

Dinner and Breakfast were so delicious. The homemade japanese pickles were so amazing. Onsen is a bit small but it is all compensated by the warm hospitality of the staffs.

Great and delicious food cooked with local meat and home grown vegetables and pickles. Many dishes were served especially for dinner. Room with attached toilet (but no bathroom) was adequate but you have to make your own bed. Use of the private onsen must be reserved in advance. The staff was very courteous and helpful despite speaking limited English.

Cute little historical Japanese house”
Nice place, very good food, most items homemade and home grown, make sure you go dinner with an empty stomach. Public bath is small, can book in advance for a private bath, no extra fee, I didn’t try as not enough time. They serve early dinner, early bfast and check out at 10 am. It was a very memorable stay for our family of 4.

we stayed one night here and love the old architecture. Breakfast and dinner are both yummy. The room is spacious but it's self service to set your futon bed. When we check in the room, we found out the cups did not wash and dirty. So I hope the Ryokan housekeeping should do a better work. Also the sign for direction is not not clear, we get lost when we arrived the road.
