Magical place”
We were a little worried about this place from some previous reviews but were soon relieved once we arrived. It is a fair hike of taxi and boat ride (1.5-2 hours), but so are most places on the lake. We paid $35USD each way, organised prior to arrival via Agoda app, plus an extra 15,000pp to enter the lake. Our location was actually perfect for the day tours around the markets as well. The place itself was very lovely, with great character. We found it to be very clean and comfortable, enjoying an indoor and outdoor shower. The only downsides were (as mentioned in other reviews) the noise at night/early morning, although the reception will give you earplugs. Also the food was a bit mediocre. The restaurant would benefit from some soft music playing and better lighting for more ambience. Overall thought it was a beautiful property with an unbeatable location for a lake experience!

Wonderful and magical place”
The location is directly on the water 45 min from the lakeside. Sunrise and Sundowner are just beautiful. Laying at the pool on the water or having a beer on the terrace was so relaxing. Staff could speak better english, but that's the only recommendation that I would give (in general in Myanmar though). Loved this place, would come back and recommend to my friends.

Its a very nice resort with great staff and spacious huts the food is slso good The boat ride to the resort is terrific They have actually put in lot of effort in making the place a great stay Only beware of mosquitoes in the evening

Exceptional”
Ive now stayed at three hotels in Inlay over the years. All have been "floating" hotels on stilts. All with private bungalows. The other two, the Ann Heritage Lodge and the Sky Lake were solid choices with great rooms and great service. I liked the Shwe Inn Tha the best. The rooms were big and new. The service was excellent. It was low key and pleasant. The location was great. My favorite that I've seen.

Because the location is at the end of Inle Lake, so when traveling somewhere you spend a little cost, but the resort is quite clean, the staff is very enthusiastic. I will come back later when I have a chance to visit Inle Lake again on the weekend

Sleeping on the water”
Unique about the Shwe Inn Tha Floating hotel is that you cannot exit or enter it other then by boat (unless you are a really good swimmer). This makes this hotel the perfect retreat for solo travelers in Myanmar who want to escape from the world and have a quite night below the stars and above the water.

Resort is located on the good side of the lake and near to the tourist attraction spots. They provided the boat tour with English speaking guide. Staff is good, helpful & English Speaking. You can stay & relax in the resort.

A nice resort at a noisy part of the lake”
I am really sad to say, that I wouldn't recommend this place. Stayed 2 nights Dec 2018. It is a nice resort, clean and with big villas and a wonderful view. Staff is nice and sweet like all the people in Myanmar are! But for us as a family it was way too loud. It could be a romantic and relaxing place but the long boats with their noisy engines drove us crazy after a while. We were not able to sit on our lovely porch because it was like sitting at a longboat highway where one boat after another rattles along. It started in the morning at 5 am and finally stopped at 7pm. Usually you are sitting yourselves in a boat like that and exploring the lake but we stayed the half day when we arrived at the resort and listend patiently to this annoying sound hoping it would stop at some time. The Resort is aware of this, as they provide ear plugs on your nightstand. The food is okay-ish, the restaurant is set up for many people because bigger groups seem to book this location.

Nice locations, rooms are a little dated, but still quaint. Porch/balcony and open-air shower were nice touches. Restaurant at hotel is basic - I would recommend requesting a boat from the hotel and going to restaurants nearby.

Great value for this hotel. Located in the southern part of the lake so a little far from Nyaungshwe. However, a beautiful resort with very friendly staff. Would definitely stay here again.

What they don’t tell you.”
The setting is beautiful. The staff are very nice. The breakfast buffet is plentiful. Happy hour drinks are good and cheap. The pool is nice. The problems arise in what they don’t tell you. Like that at 4AM morning prayers are broadcast over a loudspeaker in the area, or that the boats on canal in front of the hotel sound like a constant stream of helicopters going by. Or that there is no heating in your cabin and the nighttime temperatures in January can get down into the 40 degree Fahrenheit range. Plenty of warm blankets, but better have a down coat when you get out of bed.

Location is lovely. Only two things did'nt give us full satisfaction : bathroom and toilets not at european standard and whorst problem to us was the lights in all the hotel which was very weak.

It’s noisy!!!”
Good: frendly hotel staff, nice room. Bad: very NOISY. I can’t sleep. I choose to stay at the resort because i want to have a quiet space. But no. The boat goes around too much. So angry. The foods is not good. Don’t take the tour or airport transfer from resort. Too expensive. Airport transfer from hotel is 35$. But i did 15000kyat from heho airport to NyaungShwe by car. And 12000kyat from NyaungShwe to resort by boat. Really easy to do it. I took a tour inle lake at resort 25$/boat for 4 hours, and 14$ for return city. after that, when i come back city and stay at Inle Cottage Boutique Hotel, they sale the tour inle lake is 20000kyat/ boat for a day (from 8am to 5pm). Angry angry. Nice room, nice hotel staff but i never come back again.

Airport transfer from Heho to Hotel 35$ is the normal price, during the festival hire price is more expensive. You said 15000kyats from Heho airport to Nyaungshwe is possible but is not tour car, not the same facilities, no air-conditioner, no smart driver. Inle Lake was one of the highlights of our trip to Burma, and for me, the Shwe Inn Tha Floating resort was the cherry on top. We LOVED our stay here - from the cute little floating bungalow with a bed covered by a mosquito net to the great pool and poolside bar. Food at the resort was good, especially the breakfast. If you wanted to arrange for a dinner not at the resort, that would be a little bit difficult, as you have to take a longtail boat to go anywhere. Our flight from Yangon was late but we had communicated with the resort beforehand and we were expertly ferried in the dark of the lake to the resort. Be forewarned that this is a two hour trip - one hour in a car and another hour in the longtail boat from Nyongshwe to the resort at the south end of the lake. We got massages and facials at the spa, which uses Dermalogica products and we were very pleased with the service. Overall staff were very kind, friendly, and helpful. Only downside was that the resort wifi was a bit weak.
