I picked this hotel after much research and I'm glad I did. It's in a great location in New Bagan, just off the main street so it's quiet. Not that New Bagan is a raucous spot. Big room with good facilities in the room, not that I spent much time here. The pool was nice to cool down in after a day riding around and exploring the temples and pagodas. Plus breakfast is served by the pool which is nice and you often get to see the hot air balloons floating by while you're tucking into your eggs. Breakfast offering was fine. Standard fare for a hotel so you won't go hungry. The only quibble is that some of the food that I would have expected to be hot (e.g. baked beans, sausage) was not, lukewarm often. I thought this might be due to having a late breakfast but it was the same no matter the time. The staff were exceptionally friendly, helpful and polite at all times. They helped me a few times with booking some excursions such as a trip to Mt Popa and ballooning.

The Best budget Hotel So far”
We been traveling around Burma. For the past 12 days, this hotel is the best so far. Located in the New Bagan, this Hotel gave us the Satisfaction of our perfect and ideal Holiday in Burma. Thank you for upgrading our room. The place and its ambiance, is just perfect. Just do something about the unknwon smell ? or Maybe it is just a Bagan Smell? Who knows?

This hotel has an eccellent quality/price ratio! Good location in New Bagan , staff extremely nice and accomodating , the room was spacious enough , clean and well equipped. The breakfast is not memorabile but good anyway. The gracious swimming pool is a plus! Highly recommended

A great stay”
We stayed here for 2 nights. We arrived very early on the night bus (6am) and the staff found us a room within half an hour. We were extremely grateful for this as we had been travelling all night. They have a lovely pool which we relaxed by as well as a spa. We didn't use the spa so can't comment but it looked lovely. They will provide you with pool towels and arrange tours/motorbikes etc. The only negative point was that we organised the hiring of an escooter though the hotel. We paid a little more than if you organised it yourself but we had been told it was more reliable. Sadly, this wasn't the case. Our escooter ran out of battery after only a couple of hours use and we had to push it back from Old Bagan. The staff weren't very apologetic and told us we must have been using it for longer than 8 hours - we hadn't! We eventually agreed to pay a slightly lower rate for the bike and everyone was happy. Overall, a good stay and I would stay again

Nice hotel, good service, but room disappointing”
In our first trip to Burma we were long-torn between this hotel in New Bagan and one in Old Bagan. In the end we took this one, as the photos made it seems more boutique-like and personal. If we had to do it again, however, we wouldn't do the same. *our room was the biggest disappointment, as we had booked a Superior , but the photos do not make it clear that the Standard Rooms are all in one dormitory-type building, but 50% of the rooms face a wall in the back with access to little more than the temple behind). The room is clean and complete, but the lighting is super-dim and so it's difficult to read or work there. The other rooms facing the pool are more inviting, especially on the 2nd floor, so we immediately went back to reception and asked if we could move. At that very moment a HUGE tour group was checking in, and the staff explained that the group had reserved those rooms for themselves..in fact, we were the ONLY people at the hotel NOT in the French tour group. As we had checked in first, I felt we should have been granted this request. Location: New Bagan leaves you at a disadvantage compared to Old Bagan, as it is about 3 miles to the temples, and like most people, if you come back to the hotel in the heat of the day, it means 2 round-trips a day, a bit risky on the charge of an e-bike and a bit exhausting on regular bicycles (we tried both). It was still comfortable, but when we went to the Old Bagan one afternoon to look at the river and saw how lovely their garden really was and how central, we knew that next time we would stay there instead. Hopefully this will help them think about how to better serve their non-tour travelers. Room Tip: If you choose a Superior room, insist on a 2nd-floor room facing the pool.

Friendly staffs & value for money”
I will definitely come back. Staffs managed to arrange for our next flight to Mandalay, one-day driver in Bagan, and check the availability of Balloon Over Bagan within an hour. Hotel is clean and nice and all services are priced reasonably.

Nice small Hotel in NEW BAGAN with Bikes for rent”
We arrived early and were able to have breakfast that morning at the pool waiting for our room to be cleaned. The Staff was friendly. We were able to rent bikes and ride around town (way more convienent). We even looked at old Bagan on a bike ride, which was hot but a lot of fun. The pool at the hotel is clean and quite cool, so that a dip freshens you up again. The rooms are a bit musky as bathrooms don't seem to have a vent, but other than that the hotel is trying to comfort European standard.

Very pleasant stay, clean and great service”
I could definitely recommend this hotel to friends. It’s very new and clean, a great value for the price. Staff very helpful And nice with booking the tickets, renting the motorbike, giving tourists information. Strong wifi. Good food. Cannot complain for anything.

Not a bad hotel in Bagan BUT”
We had a few criticisms about this hotel, the main one being that they would not accept Credit/debit cards. Other things were that the swimming pool, although it was only about 150cm deep, you could not see the bottom. there was a distinct smell of drains when sitting round the pool and the bathrooms were a bit dated. The "white" towels were a shade of grey but worst of all was when we asked for an early morning call for 04.00 a.m. it arrived at 04.40 hrs when we were luckily already up, nearly causing us to miss our connection to Mandalay. We must say however that the manageress was very helpful and spoke reasonable English and booked our boat tickets to Mandalay for us. The hotel is quite central in NEW Bagan and within easy walking distance of all amenities. Would probably choose another hotel if stopping in New Bagan again.

Excellent”
We enjoyed our stay in this hotel. The only thing I would say is, the reception book a bus for us for Yangon but they didn’t tell us that pick up bus will arrive at 6:30pm at the hotel we were told they will pick us up from the hotel at 8:30pm departure time. So we went to see sunset luckily we came back early the bus was already waiting for us we got to the hotel at 6:30pm and have to pack in a hurry so maybe next time if you book for someone maybe let them know that pick up bus will pick up.

Very clean and modern rooms, although on the slightly small side. Beds very comfortable. Good breakfast with rather good coffee compared to other hotels in this town. Very nice swimming pool, in a city where you really can use it.

Altogether good hotel, but not as good as expected”
I stayed 5 nights in a superior room in the main building. The hotel complex altogether is nicely designed. But my room appeared a bit run down (especially the carpet) and the bathroom was quite smelly (comming from the drain). Maybe the rooms in the garden area are better, I don't know. Very poor internet connection. Breakfast buffet was good. The staff is very attentive and friendly. However, compared to other places I visited in Myanmar, staff at the reception desk had quite some difficulties with the english language. Several times they didn't understand a question and weren't able to give a useful answer. Next time, I would choose a different location.

Oases in the dust”
The bathrooms need to be renovated. Shower curtains are kind of aged and the interior a bit shabby. Overall a nice place to stay. Quiet and relaxed.

Nice hotel with one surprise”
Overall, our time was pleasant. The major disappointment was that we expected a breakfast buffet, but it was explained to us that if occupancy rates are low, no buffet is provided. In its place was a fixed menu of omelet, rice, toast, coffee and juice. No seconds! Had we known we would not have a buffet, we would have chosen another hotel.
