Siamese views lodge”
My girlfriend and I really enjoyed our stay at Siamese Views Lodge! First of all, the location is great right around the corner of Democracy monument, meaning close to Kao San Road, the Temples, public transport etc. Second, the staff is very friendly and helpfull. The person at the reception desk even went by bicycle to the main road to get us a metered taxi that actually took us to the airport with the meter (almost impossible for a tourist in the evening hours!). Furthermore, the room was big, clean and new and had good working air-con, shower and fridge. Breakfast is simple but good (choice of four options amongst which fruit, spaghetti, thai noodles etc). We feel that this place is worth the few extra dollars per night compared to a Kao San hostel because of the clean an new, big rooms, friendly staff and great location. Would definately stay there again when visiting Bangkok!

Great value and very helpful staff”
The staff at Siamese Views Lodge is very helpful, very friendly, and always willing to help with directions to various destinations within Bangkok. There is a comforting feeling of staying at the hotel, like you are at home in a foreign land. If I visit Bangkok sometime in the future, I would seriously consider booking here again!

Very nice hotel”
I had a wonderful time at the Siamese Views Lodge and would recommend it to anyone going to Bangkok. It has a good location if you're interested in visiting many of the temples and palaces in town and its also close to Khao San road. It's very easy to find many different kinds of food near here if you walk just a little bit. The staff was also very nice and helpful. It's located right next to the Democracy Monument, if you're wondering on the locale.

Great location, friendly & helpfull staff.”
Located in a lane near the Democracy monument, it is only a short walk to the Grand Palace and nearby "must see"sights sites in Bangkok. Taxi drivers sometimes have trouble finding the Siamese Views Lodge but if you email the hotel they wii send you a map and directions in Thai. Our standard room was small but adequate with high ceilings and a decent bathroom. The service from the reception staff was excellent. They were willing to assist with booking onward bus tickets for us, arrange taxis and give accurate directions to public transport stops, all with a friendly smile. Breakfast consisted of a fruit platter plus various permutatios of eggs, toast, bacon etc. which was adequate to see you through until dinner.

Would stay here again”
Loved it. We got one of the cheaper rooms with no windows as we were travelling but that was ok as you get done light from the hall. The staff are amazing and help you with everything. One even came out with us and got us a taxi to the airport and made sure it would be on the meter! We stayed for the first day of Songkran and it's a perfect location. 5 min walk to the thick of it but you can escape to the hotel when u need a break. We followed a review about finding it which was so helpful: Face Mcdonalds by democracy monument - look right, cross the little road and walk past the restaurant on your left. There is an alley/street on the left just after the restaurant and it's down there on the left. Thank you to whoever the guy was that posted that review as it saved us when we arrived in the middle of a freak rain downpour! Got us there quickly. Songkran us crazy and you will get completely drenched so a dry bag is a good idea and they sell little wallets for phone and money along the way for 30 baht. May want to arm yourself with a water pistol too Thanks Siamese lodge for a great stay. We'll be back!

Great Place, really helpful staff”
We had a really good Time at Siamese View Lodges. The girls there are so kind a helpful. The told us how to get to different places, how much a Taxi/TuK TuK should cost, so we wont get screwed by the drivers and much more. Also they loved our 2 year old kid. The breakfast was good, too and the rooms were clean. We would definately stay there again.

Great value, great location!”
I stayed at the Siamese Views Lodge solo on March 2 for one evening. I picked a room with window to save money, but it didn't feel stifling. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Although I didn't get bitten, you might want to watch out for the mosquitos. As I only had an evening and half a day in Bangkok, the front desk staff was very helpful to point me to the sites I wanted to see. It was within reasonable walking distance to many sites including the Grand Palace and the Ratchadamnoen Stadium. I will definitely stay there again.

Great little hotel with a very friendly staff”
A very nice place in the heart of Greater Bangkok. The hotel location is simply perfect. 10 minutes walk from Khaosan road, but far from the noise. The staff is very friendly and very fair with customers. We had reservation without breakfast, but because they had a promotion during our stay, we were also included and got free breakfast every morning. The hotel is nicely decorated, with a good book collection, nice furniture that gives you a very familial feel. All sightseeing we did, we did by foot. All major sights are within a walking distance. Also a very nice restaurant just on the street corner, with a great view of the Democracy Monument.

Very New and to Western Standards”
Central location. Right by Democracy Monument (see below) It's a short walk to KhaoSan road where all the backpackers/nightlife is. Hotel breakfast was very simple and small portioned and we simply went out to Khaosan area for lunch/dinner. The place is owner managed by a young thai couple and they are very friendly and nice. The female manager speaks fluent english. Rooms are spacious (full closet, nightstand, tv stands) and very clean. Note if you want a TV and hairdryer in your room then you need to book the "superior" room. We had to stay around Khaosan one night and in comparison, for a few dollars more, you get a much quieter room and bigger. KS was VERY noisy til about midnight and much smaller rooms. Overall if you're looking for a quiet space that is spacious, more relaxing and still very central then this is your place.

Right in the middle of it, but still quiet!”
Siamese Views is very central to Kao San Road, as well as lots of restaurants ect. The staff are very helpful, they really went out of their way to assist us in booking tours and getting around. Really great place to stay if you are looking to be right in the middle of it all.

Great hotel”
For the price, I would say this is one of the cleanest, friendliest hotels in Bangkok. The atmosphere of the hotel is very relaxing. The owner has amazing sense too. The furniture is very cute and antique, a lot of art deco stuff. The hotel staff people are extremely friendly. The location is very convenient also, it is only about 10 mins walking to Khaosan street. Give this hotel a try, you won't regret it.

Best place in Bangkok”
This is the only hotel I ever was at in Bangkok, and as long as it exists, it will be the only one. The location is amazing, 5 minutes to Khao San, but far enough to get away from the crazy nightlife. Due to it's location it is very quiet, far from the noise of the street. The Grand Palace is within walking distance, as well as the other interests in the old city. The staff is amazing, very friendly and incredibly helpful. The rooms are spacious, and the hotel is very nicely decorated. It gives your stay a homey feel. I can only recommend it if you are looking for authentic Thai lodging!

Great one day stay”
When we checked in, the staff was very attentive in the sense that when she knew we weren't locals, she gave us all the details we need about the attractions nearby (wat pho, grand palace etc) and also a little map of the city center. Not only did she cover what we needed for our stay, she went out of the way to provide us with even more details on how to get to our next hotel which was at pratunam. I was very pleasantly pleased with the whole ambiance and room was very clean. When we were leaving or entering the place the staff would always greet us with a smile making us feel at home. And there's a super cute dog on the second level, not those smelly jumpy dogs. It was really chill, no barking, and all it does is just follow us to the stairs for a bit (the room was on the third level). All in all, this is a really great hotel if you are going to be visiting the Khaosan area be it for a bicycle tour or just visiting the temples and palace. I strongly recommend it!

2rooms (4 people) for 1-night stay ”
The Good: The service is superb. The room size is comfortable and worth the price we paid. It is 1 km walking distance to Khaosan so not that bad at all. The Bad: An air-condition in one of the rooms kept making noise. One thing that I really do not like is that the smoking area is right in front of guest room. It should be outside of the building!

Excellent”
Stayed at this hotel between 23-26 Nov 2013. Although access to hotel was tricky due to the anti-government protests held at the Democracy Monument, our stay here was faultless. I really can't stress enough just how great the staff are. They came to meet us when we were lost, gave us detailed directions and suggestions for days trips, and even unblocked our toilet after my girlfriend managed to fill it with paper. Nothing was too much hassle for the staff here and they were always extremely happy to help and very welcoming. The location is perfect. Right in the centre but on a quiet street. 5 mins from Khosan Road, 10 mins to Grand Palace, and close to transport links around the city. Breakfast was tasty, room was large with a comfortable bed and good aircon and good shower. When we return to Thailand this will always be the hotel we stay at in Bangkok. Great value for money. Book it.

Cute hotel with very helpful staff”
if you want to be near the grand palace, kao san rd, and many of the major temples in bangkok, this is an excellent little hotel tucked away off th ratchadamnoen next to the democracy monument. the main downside of being in this part of the city is the lack of proximity to the skytrain/metro. therefore journeys to the other parts of town necessitate taking a taxi or a tuk tuk. it was hard to get a taxi to hua lamphong train station (which is reasonably close in bangkok terms) after 4pm due to the traffic congestion. however, the hotel staff kindly bargained us a very good price on a tuk tuk to the station, which was able to take our large amount of luggage! the breakfasts are simple, with a choice between european and thai dishes, tea, coffee and juice. the rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. be aware that it can be a bit noisy at night as it's an older building without sound proofing. overall, highly recommended as a place to base a couple of days sightseeing/shopping/eating in bangkok.

Homely”
We are snobs when it comes to hotels as we are spoilt living in Dubai but we loved this place. It was a budget hotel that we stayed in for two nights and it was perfectly located for site seeing with the grand palace, the river and a number of Temples within walking distance. the same can be said about Kao San Road, we were close enough without being disturbed by the noise. The highlight of the hotel is its homely feel and the girls make you feel very relaxed. We have 2 cats at home, so Wano the hotel cat was a bonus and he would come and sit on our knees if encouraged, whilst he would stay away if he wasn't invited. There is also a west highland white dog which stays in reception and is also friendly. I'll stay here again when I go back to Bangkok.

Very impressed”
Very comfortable. We were greeted by a very welcoming and helpful receptionist who gave us a map of Bangkok and told various things to do and were then shown to our room which was comfortable and spacious with a beautiful bed. Didn't spend too much time in the hotel but found it secure and very welcoming. Allot of hotels in Thailand could learn things from this place. Definitely visit again

perfect location”
We really liked this lodge. The staff were very very friendly and made us feel welcome straight away. They let us wait in the lobby until our room was ready. The location couldn't be better, right by Khao San but in a quiet alley way so you can get away from the madness. Food all around.
