Exquisite”
It was my first time to visit the island of Siargao (having visited almost all the islands of the Philippines) and let me just say I was blown away by the exquisiteness of the place. I am not a surfer and so I was keen in finding a resort that had a pool, an amazing view and amenities that would complement the beauty of the place and Siargao Bleu Resort fit the job to a T. Stayed at the Siargao Bleu Resort from the 26th until the 29th of May 2016. The place was opened last September and it was wonderful to experience a new and luxurious resort in the island paradise of Siargao. The pictures actually don't do justice to the place. Melot, the owner, was so gracious in her welcome and ensured that everything was taken cared of. Free land rides were provided for the guests of which I allowed myself to use to see the other parts of the island. Though I am not a surfer, the place was a few minutes away from Cloud 9 where surfers show their skills and an interested "beginner" such as I could indulge. I also rented their own bicycle to go around the island of which was so precious an experience. Back to the hotel, there was a huge swimming pool where one could not just swim but also kayak! They also bake fresh coconut bread in front of the guests within the resort... Isn't that luxurious?! The hotel organized the island hopping of Guyam, Dako and Naked Island of which blew me away! For those who are familiar with Boracay in the 80s, Dako Island is such. Naked island is a long sand bar and to experience that privately while watching the sunset there made me realize (again) how blessed Filipinos are to have such in the country. This organizing would not be possible had it not been for the excellent advice of Mench. She was awesome! Also ask for Alan as your tour guide for he will make the tour just absolutely perfect. On the final day, I had the privilege of being escorted by the manager, John, to the airport and was treated like VIP showing an amazing view of the Naked
Relaxing Siargao Bleu”
Enjoyed a very relaxing 4 night stay. From the moment they picked us up at the airport, to the fresh coconut welcome drink, to the wonderful greeting we get from EVERY staff member we meet, Siargao Bleu Resort did not disappoint. The food at the restaurant was tasty and service was very attentive. Lielanie was always ready to get whatever we needed. Breakfast buffet was varied between traditional Filipino breakfast and American style breakfast, with crepes and fresh fruit. We also enjoyed the spa which was very reasonably priced. Spa staff was very attentive and aim to please always checking on the pressure and how you were doing. The grounds were very well kept with beautiful foliage, flowers and trees. The room was a good sized and kept nice and cool by the A/C. We had the Garden Room which was perfect as it was downstairs, close to the restaurant, pool and front. While the hotel is showing some age, it is kept very clean and the staff are to be commended. Would stay again!
A TRIP TO REMEMBER <3”
If you're going to Siargao and aren't on a tight budget, please do book in Siargao Bleu. Every inch of the place was lovely! I booked a 4-day trip and from airport transfers to surprise dinners (by the boyfriend and with the participation of the staff) to the massage and the food --- IT WAS PERFECT <3 But here are a couple of things the resort could improve: 1. The food during the whole-day island hopping trip. We were hoping for more options and we were very specific about the food but it wasn't as good as we had hoped. 2. Please do buy a new billiards table/equipment. I loved that you had a billiards table but some of the cue sticks were already split in half. :( But other than those, you will have a great time at the resort and the staff are very very accommodating to all their guests' needs :)
Great accommodation in Siargao”
Booking Siargao Bleu was the best decision we had for the trip. Wished we could've stayed longer in the villa (it was already fully booked for the week). Great food for breakfast, service and facilities were excellent. The only downside was the hot water but that's not a big deal. The resort has the excellent view and ambiance. Will definitely stay here again when we go back to Siargao!
Pretty pool and vibe, room could be better”
Pro: This resort is located between the famous Cloud 9 surf spot and General Luna town, which makes it easy access to your day and night time activities. The property is pretty! The pool is huge and looks out to the ocean inlet. Small villas sit surrounding the pool, giving it an island vibe. There is also a spa, gym, restaurant, beach bar, and morning yoga all within the resort. The staff is very friendly and welcoming- always willing to help with a smile. The room was okay, a good tropical style with a very comfortable bed. Cons: This is an expensive hotel for Siargao Island, so expectations are high. The room was simple, and not so clean. There were aunts all over our bathroom that continued to come back again and again.. even after the staff attempted to spray and sweep. The bathroom ceiling was discolored from steamy showers. Overall, just not well taken care of or in need of a renovation. Also, the smell of air freshener was so over powering that my clothes smelt like the room.
Amazing resort”
All the staff were very friendly and attentive to my needs. They made me feel welcome and at home during my stay. Brandon and Honeybelle were especially kind to me as they were my personal butlers during my stay and took very good care of me as well as showed me around Siargao. Thank you so much for everything I definitely will be back one day. Siargao Bleu is an outstanding resort!
Hospitality at its best”
We had a great stay at Siargao Bleu and i regret that we just stayed overnight. Should have stayed here for days. Leaving the place was hard, can't help but think about our next stay :) It was so nice of them to set-up a movie night for us because I told them about our 10th anniversary. They set up a romantic dinner which we really enjoyed! the set up had no extra cost. They really know how to take care of the guests. Our room was garden deluxe, it was lovely! spacious bathroom and comfy beds. can't wait to go back!!
Really expensive but still a good experience”
It's really an expensive property to reserve for your stay in Siargao. We loved the fantastic view of the pool and sea/ocean from the restaurant. I think that's their selling point really. They have shuttle service, upon request, to/from different parts within Gen. Luna. Our airport transfers were part of the price we paid and breakfast, as well. Their restaurant lunch/dinner selection is quite limited though. Their servings are large, but, of course pricey. I guess food around Siargao is generally a bit expensive than other places (ex. Cebu, Boracay, Bohol). They have a "happy hour" though when they have a buy one take one deal on selected drinks/cocktails. For improvement: Their beds are not that comfortable. The room sometimes felt humid or damp inside. even the floor was a bit sticky from the humidity brought in by the sea. Maybe they could install a dehumidifier? It's just a suggestion.
Excellent”
Our first time in Siargao and this place delivered beyond our expectation. The welcome drinks - which was the buko (coconut) juice - was very refreshing. Bathrooms were clean (which is what I always look at first, whether staying in a hotel or resort). The staffs were very friendly and accommodating as well. Kudos to our guide who was very enthusiastic when we went island hopping. Karagatan delivered good food as well! The breakfast spread has a different menu everyday so you won't get to eat the same set of food per day. Their ala carte menu also was very yummy. I ordered for the shrimp curry while my husband got the scallops in butter - and we both agree that this restaurant has a good menu.
Many freebies! Nice facilities”
We really enjoyed our stay here! We were assisted by our butler and were really surprised when he mentioned all complimentary items inside the room (includes the siargao rum, beers, soda, etc) The facility is really top notch, we love the pool and their beach bar. But what really caught our attention is the waiter in the restaurant like really! We had our dinner and they are really attentive and helpful! We were really amazed about his service, it’s sad we didn’t get his name.
Exceptional”
Highly recommended! The staff and the owner herself treated me like a VIP. Excellent by all accounts - from food, room, cleanliness, facilities and the staff. The in-house package tour was just excellent. I would say that I had a super great time in Siargao, so memorable, because of the attentiveness and hospitality of the staff. Everything was done in accordance with my needs and interest. Will surely return back...
Nice pool. Very accommodating staff”
It was rainy most of the days we're in Siargao so it was a good choice to stay here. The pool is really nice and we had a great time lounging at the bar in the afternoon til sunset. There was an issue with water pressure but was fixed right away. Their staff are consistently accommodating especially John, who knew how to take care of the guests and gave us tips on where to go around the island.
Excellent”
The staff at this hotel was very responsive, friendly and prompt in addressing requests. The view from the "floating" pool villas is beautifull. The resort is clean and well located. Motorbike rentals on sight. Rent one. Trust me on this. It's to hot to walk anywhere. The big money in building this hotel was directed towards the massive swimming pool. Pool is great. But the rooms while clean and large have plumbing issues. Specifically hot water. They did try to address this every time we called . The hotel beach is not swimmable and neither is Cloud 9. As far as we could tell there are no swimmable beaches in Siargo without driving 1 1/2-2 hours. The famous Cloud 9 is right around the corner from the hotel and most of the locations from the movie are within a five to ten minute motorbike ride. Same for bars and restaurants. 2 ATM's in General Luna that are very problematic. Bring enough cash for the length of your stay. No one except the hotels accept credit cards.
Excellent”
Siargao Bleu has a great pool and staff are all friendly and courteous! Will definitely go back to the beautiful Siargao!
Accommodating staff”
Overall we loved Siargao Bleu, but when we went there was no hot water and we were not informed at the front desk. Never eat at the restaurant, because they are so slow, and they forget what you order. The hotel is very very clean, they clean the pool once or twice a day from what I observed. The shuttle service is the best part, because it can take you anywhere you want to the whole day. The front desk is very very accommodating, whatever you might ask they'll provide. The location is sublime, being beside cloud 9 (walkable, 10 minutes).
Beautiful pool!”
Beautiful!! The staff were all very helpful. CHEAP quality massages! it's about a 5 minute scooter ride from all the action in General Luna and about 5 min scooter ride the other direction to Cloud 9 Boardwalk. Just a forewarning (not against the hotel) There is no pharmacy in General Luna area. Nowhere even sells advil or cough syrup. The closest one was in a different town about 30-40 min scooter ride. So make sure you pack some meds because we sure needed it.
Lovely stay”
We stayed in one of the floating cottages and absolutely loved it. Very clean, bathroom was amazing and hot water and pressure were not an issue. Bed was very comfortable. Friendly staff. In terms of location, a bit further out of the heart of General Luna, but still easy enough to catch a tricycle if needed. My only recommendation would be more vegetarian options for breakfast given the high price tag we paid for this place.
Exceptional Staff”
Good quiet location. Good food. Exceptional staff. Tess and Carl went above and beyond. Made our stay comfortable. Will definitely stay here again when we visit Siargao.
Amazing Staff!”
Location is perfect. Staff is amazing and very attentive. Food prepared by Chef Peter is perfect every time. Pool cannot be beat. I stayed twice in one visit to Siargao and will definitely stay again.
Very good”
