Hotel it’s self was very quiet and clean backing onto the river, it’s an ideal location for families and much more quieter then the hustle and bustle ...

Staff were extremely polite and courteous, any issues we had were dealt with promptly and they assisted us where possible.

Friendly staffs and spacious room”
We stay in Sibsan for 5 days with kids of 7 and 9 and it's our favorite hotel during our 14 days trip of Chiang Mai. The room and swimming pool are amazingly gorgeous and the staffs are very poliye and friendly. I can feel that the manager put a lot of efforts to the resort from quickly relying my mails to the beautiful flowers in vases in the resort. And special thanks to Ice, the lady showing us the different types of rooms. We can't wait to go back there again.
Luxury Hotel with Beautiful Lanscape”
Good: It is a very luxury hotel with beautiful Thai style decoration, almost all the houses and furniture are built in real wood. The size of the room is very impressive with private balcony. Very thoughtful stuff with welcome drinks and letters in my name prepared in room. Stunning pool located at the back of the hotel near the river hence very special experience. The hotel is small but with exquisite gardens and flowers flying from 2 beautiful trees, quite romantic atmosphere for couples in honeymoon. Plenty of choices for breakfast and eat as much as you can, pretty much the standard of a 5 star hotel. Bad: Very far from the old city, if it is your first time to Chiang Mai and you may take 1,2 hours to find it. And if you drive the car from city center, you will need to drive 1 more mile until you can turn around and get down from main road, Overall a very nice hotel for people want to enjoy the peace and nature.
Most enjoyable stay in the trip”
This resort is sophisticated though it is a bit distance from the town and it locates on complicate route . However, you will forget about the route when you are arrive. Sibsan could be considered to be one of the luxury collectibles since it has been constructed by teak as main material. The resort has beautiful scenery of Ping River and I really love how they built the landscape. The breakfast is good though the buffet line is a bit small but it's great value for money.
Nice Resort for relax ”
hotel is located in suburb area of Chiang Mai, far from the downtown area. so it is absolute quite and isolate. room is nice and big and i like the wooden buildng and its atmosphere and pool is very nice but water is a little bit salty taste. food is ok and breakfast is buffet, simple but health.
Masterpiece Thai Palace on the river!”
I was absolutely floored by this extraordinary place. I have stayed in many places in Chang Mai over the years, but this new hotel is a cut above others in this price range. A real masterpiece of Lanna-Thai traditional architecture in an amazing location on the Ping river. As amazing as some of the temples in town, and About 10 min from the central square, this place has the most lovely setting of any hotel I know of in Chang Mai. A really really polite and helpful staff. And the price for all this was great too. I can not recommend this place highly enough.
My stay at the Sibsan was one of the highlights of my trip. The facilities were extraordinary and the staff warm and helpful. While a little more expensive than some, my package included breakfast and complimentary water and coffee in the room which in the end made the room quite comparable to other hotels. In any case the hotel itself is well worth paying a bit more.
The price of fame”
It could have been a perfect stay, if we'd have come the night before or the night after. When we arrived, we discovered that the hotel was getting ready for a wedding. The party was organized in the best area, between the pool and the Ping river. Forget the peaceful surrounding we carefully selected for our last night of our trip in Chiang Maï. The personel was too busy to pay attention to us. We ran away to have diner outside. Maybe thanks to the hotel managment, at 10pm this party was almost over. Yet not the music: there was another wedding party not so far away, which went on and on ... untill midnight. The hotel is big and beautiful anough to attract parties, but too small to cater to all his customers. So if you want to enjoy the great location, the nice swimming pool, and a caring service, select a week day or bring your ear plugs.
Great romantic and peaceful hotel to stay.”
Everything was great if you're looking for a quiet and peaceful stay. I would recommend having your own personal car and also being familiar with the Chiang Mai area if you need to explore outside of the hotel area.
One of the best”
We had a wonderful stay at Sibsan. The property was beautiful, very well maintained, and every detail was attended to. Staff was spot on with everything. I cannot recommend this hotel enough. We will for sure stay there again. Excellent value for money.
Good services and smilecan be seen everywhere.”
before travel,i wrote e-mail to hotel to ask a pick up and travel route problem from hotel. soon, i received e-mail from. he gave me some good and helpful advice. during our stay, we feel professional services every day, and every people with smile greeted with us. we booked luxury taxi from hotel, and hotel help us check with driver about my trips.it is convenient and reasonable price. btw, good breakfast, lunch is great, i like grilled fish and pineapple rice, very delicious.difficult ot fault, then only regret is a little far away from the old town. but, who care? because it really good hotel.
Nice Nice nicceee ;-)”
We stayed 3 nights at the Sibsan Hotel, we can reccomend it to every traveler who's looking for typical Thai looking environment, good food, good service al you need for a pleasant stay. We had only cold water coming out of the shower the first day, so we explained the manager, only five minutes later and it whas fixed. Thanks for everything !
Good and bad”
The rooms and the entire property are very nice and spacious. It's kept clean and everything that one needs in a room is provided. The slight problem as that the on-site facilities were closed for the day I was there and there seemed to be very few guests. The coffee shop, bar, etc., were deserted and it wasn't a holiday. Also the location is a bit isolated among other high-end resorts, requiring about a $10 (300 baht) taxi or Uber to central parts of the city. Considering the price of other properties in Chiang Mai, this place is a bit overpriced. Still, it's a nice, quiet place that theoretically has everything one would need.
Unique architecture very personal & romantic”
It was very nice staying in this hotel. This hotels main feature is its very beautiful and unique architecture which was really special and full of attention to detail. Rooms where spacious and luxurious with very comfortable beds. Free amenities in the room were high quality. Breakfast quality was good, though a bit limited in choice. Cheese and ham would have been nice. Cappuccino was perfect!! The menu on the for the restaurant was quite extensive and high quality and excellent value for money Staff was very nice. Had a very good time in this hotel. Don't forget to tip the nice security at the parking lot when leaving. Highly recommended this hotel!
You've been advised...”
Although the facility of the hotel and accommodation is beautiful, don't make the same mistake I did when booking. There are 2 Sibsan accommodations. I strongly advise you to book the Sibsan resort and NOT the hotel. The hotel is directly off the loud highway and right below the air traffic pattern of every flight leaving/flying into Chiang Mai.. Most of the staff were very kind and helpful, however there was one gentleman that worked at the front desk. We had difficulty getting an Uber so he said he would call a taxi for us. He ended up calling a friend who charged us triple the price just for a 10 minute drive to a local restaurant. The following night, this same gentleman was working at the front desk. My mom and I were out all day shopping so we were looking forward to the hotel's spa. We tried to book over the phone, he said the spa only offered 1 service and that was an oil massage. He said he would reserve the time. When we finally got back, the spa was all booked. Thanks a lot
Luxury and comfort par excellence”
I loved everything about this hotel except its location. It was far outside of town and required a rather expensive taxi to and from. I felt that the hotel should have provided a shuttle a few times a day. This hotel in my opinion is wonderful for newlyweds or someone wanting to stay in the lap of luxury and not really go anywhere. They provided for every need and in a sumptuous manner. The bed was the most comfortable of any hotel bed I've slept in during my 30 years of travel. The provided toiletries were perfect, breakfast buffet made me want to stay and overeat. The one downside to breakfast was that one day the number of people staying dropped lower than 10 I think so they had us order of the menu and the breakfast menu was limited and the staff seemed a bit lost. The bar had 2 very good bartenders that made wonderful specialty drinks especially the drink of the day - always interesting, sometimes a bit unusual and always refreshingly tasty. Overall it was a plush experience except for those 2 aforementioned and minor issues.
My stay at the hotel was great. The staff were very helpful, happy, and accommodating. The facilities were great, along the cleanliness and comfort of the room,. Breakfast was very good, and the servers were professional. The front desk staff assisted with every request, and made me feel at home. The only drawback was the location of the hotel, a bit out of the city, and requires a cab ride into the activity. If you are looking for a comfortable, peaceful, and relaxing few days, this is perfect. If you want more action, then staying in the city might be more your choice.
Happy overall but some hiccups along the way”
In my first junior suite, I did not have a view as requested prior to arrival. Around 11 pm, the air con quit working. Maintenance men came, messed with the unit and the condenser outside and pronounced it fixed. Not true! Room remained 26 degrees C or hotter. I spent a very unpleasant night. When asked to be moved, the front desk did not offer to upgrade me to a better suite but instead suggested I take the same type of suite by the road. OMG! When I made the request to be upgraded they put me in a beautiful huge suite with wonderful working air con. The prices in the restaurant are quite high. The included breakfast in good, egg station plus buffet. The Spa is lovely, pool not crowded. Only one treadmill in workout room and it is broken. So while this is not 5 star in truth, it was a lovely stay.
Excellent experience here”
Friendly and helpful staff. We are 4 friends stayed in a 2 bedroom suite with spacious living room, bathrooms and bedrooms. The room is well decorated and keeps very tidy and clean. Not much facilities in this resort but it situates in a nice relaxing area, about 15 mins drive (by taxi or tuk tuk) from the old city. the resort offers free shuttle bus to the city centre on certain days of a week. Reasonable price and beatiful place for holidays with family or friends, definitely recommend!
Paradise for Nature Lovers ”
My husband and I came here for our honeymoon and had an amazing time! This hotel was exactly what we wanted. The hotel is beautiful. I felt like a queen in a country palace! The rooms are spacious, there is a river in the back yard and it's quiet and peaceful. It took about 200bahts to go to the weekend market and Sunday bazaar which is not bad as we are about 15 minutes away. The staff is friendly and the breakfast is good. I would definitely visit it again.
Small hotel great for relaxation and personal care”
A small boutique hotel a short distance from downtown. The staff is extremely attentive and go out of their way to address special needs. They arranged all our city tours and ground transportation with extreme care. The staff in the dining room remember exactly how like your eggs for breakfast. It is quiet and relaxing with lotus ponds and fish. The spa provided an excellent massage. Highly recommended for someone who is looking for a 5 star experience a little way away from the downtown action
