great vacation at the affordable price”
A great vacation for honeymooners, family and friends. The beaches are well maintained and you can see the live corals and colorful fishes, 20 meters from the beach. We can see deers and peacocks freely wandering around the resort and if you are lucky, you can feed them as well. The resort is suitable for team building and company trip also because they offered a lot of activities and fun!
The hotel welcome me with toilet full of poop!”
The room are too far from the reception. Food quality are totally horrible and over pricing!! I requested for a seaview room which I agreed to pay the hotel more but they just give me a room with toilet full of poop and smell, also the whole room and bed are very sandy. This is the worse hotel I had ever stayed.
Just another ordinary resort”
Suitable for family for a nice quite time. Rooms are okay but really need some maintenance done. The buffet dont have much of choice. The swimming pool has a lot of leaf/things in the water. They really need a real upgrading.
Worst resort stay ever!”
The drive to Tanjung Leman was long. When we finally arrived, we had to pay for ferry tickets, conservation fee and jetty fee which amounted to RM95 per pax. When we reached the resort, it was quiet and lifeless. The pool was small and pathetic. We reached at 4.30pm and the pool was closed for maintenance. Our rooms(booked 3 rooms)were old, run down and musty. The beds and pillows were stained, dusty, pillows were too soft. The TV, only two channels were clear out of 6-7 channels. The toilet door was not working, the water coming out from the tap was yellow. There were cobwebs on the ceilings, the curtains hanging loose, floors didn't feel clean. My sister's room's a/c was not working. We requested for a change of rooms as we were very unhappy with the rooms but front desk insisted that they will repair the necessary. There was only one restaurant so we had no choice but to eat there. Dinner was RM58+++ per pax and the spread was pathetic! We insisted for change of rooms after dinner and front desk finally relented. Unfortunately, the new rooms were not any better, in fact our toilet was the worst, toilet bowl heavily stained, holes in walls, problem with toilet doors, same dusty and musty beds and pillows, our back door looks like it will fly with one strong nudge of the arm that we placed a chair against it for safety. The trash bin was filled with trash from previous guests. There was nothing much that we can do around the resort. We booked for 2 nights but we were traumatized by the rooms that we decided to check out the following morning after breakfast although we lose one night charge, rooms were not refundable but we couldnt stay there for one more night even after that long drive and overpriced ferry tickets. Overall, the resort was very poorly maintained, the service and the rooms were overpriced, DEFINITELY not 4 star quality. One thing for sure, we will NEVER come back to the resort ever again.
I'm been here last weekend, only have few people approx 30 pax (maybe because of Hari Raya). We seldom see people appeared when we walked around the resort and beach. I can say, it seem like I had booked the whole island. The water is clean, sand is white, environment is quite because only us. This is a good place if you do not like crowded people. Due to less people, we had privilege to upgrade the room without additional charge, and no time limited on equipment rental for water activities. Room Condition: Superior Room condition is very bad, dirty, poor utilities and poor wireless signal due to located far behind. After complained, we were entitle to upgrade to Serindit Suite, nice comfortable and clear. We strongly recommend you to go for this room. Dining/Breakfast: There is only one restaurant for you. Normally breakfast is included together with room booking, acceptable meal serves. Dinner is a-la-carte as per menu book, tourist price rate. But you can add on money to include buffet dinner during room booking. Location: Easy access from Jetty Tanjung Leman by ferry, with routine schedule 9am, 11.30am & 4pm. RM70 2way per person. Once you missed the ferry, you may offered for speed boat, RM220-250 per way trip (max 12 person per boat). Approx 20-30mins from Jetty to Sibu Island. Staff performance: Overall is moderate service performance. Value for money: Answer is No. Moderate goods & service with premium price. Thanks
It is Superb and Value for money. The beach was nice, the room was fantastic and the food was great. If you are planning to get out from city life and have a quite and peace environment, this is the right place for it.
GOOD BUT NOT ENOUGH”
i found that the pulau sibu environment is good but lack of activities. The internet speed is very slow and dont have any alcoholic drink sold at here. And the soft drinks sold at pulau sibu are very expensive
Nice secluded island with good facilities”
I booked this hotel after a little research on its isolated location. It's super quiet and the beaches are stunning, especially beach No 4. The food is good although I would recommend ordering from the menu rather than having the buffet. There are a few little issues though. The standard of finish is not fully up to what I expected for the cost. The worse aspect was the ferry costs. I would expect if you book onto a private island the ferry crossing would be included in the quoted price. It turns out its an additional RM70 each person. On the whole a nice hotel
white castle sandy island”
Lovely stay for a family with their children on the island of sandy white beach with good scenery of jungle and sound of peacock in the morning and at dawn. After dinner, enjoying our night with sound of songs and beach wave. all of us enjoyed our stay and will be coming there again with proper entire. With land activities free of charge, we also enjoyed playing the bow and arrow but missed out the jungle tracking as we forgot to bring our tracking shoes.
meeting our expectations”
We enjoyed it thoroughly, thanks to the 'off peak season'. With the discount promotion, its really worth the money. Take note that it is a 15yrs establishment. Thus some of the chalet's structures show sign of ageing and they need dire attention for the safety or convenience of the guests. Be advised not to check below the beds and the nook n cranny behind the curtains for there will be dusts and dirts collected over time.
great hotel and good service”
hotel condition are good order. Staff also good and always with a smile. Staying there for 3 days 2 night more convinience. Recommended to others trevellers to take a package during booking. As you know, expensive food at island. Room at hill and nice view but Get tired before reach at room but bell boy service is very good during sending your luggage up to your door step. Strongly recommended location to other trevellers. Enjoy your journey. See you sibu island.
It is so nice to wake up in the morning to have deers and peacocks sitting at your front porch. The beach is so clean and the water crystal clear. To watch the sunset and the sunrise on this beautiful island is breathtaking.
lovely hotel but limited attractions”
rooms appointed is uphill and wuite a distance from lobby and no room service. if raining for me and my toddler is inconvenient but if is close to lobby will be very noisy coz got live band at the restaurant. will go again when my son becomes older. and the boat that bring us from pier to hotel is small so is wavy and the aircond is not cold. I got a bit seasick. for me not worth the trip and price for the hotel.
Nice environment ”
nice rooms with the nice surrounding plants. you can see the animals roaming around freely like the peacocks and deer and sine chickens and rabbits , too the beach is beautiful and water are clear ...but too small already and you can't go far. the food serve in the only restaurant are really lousy....the price ate not too expensive but no standard and taste horrible so suggest that you bring your own food there .
Great location with spectacular view”
This is the third time my family and I came to Sibu Island Resort for a relaxing stress-free vacation. My parents adored the island. As for me and my husband, the first time was the best time of all time because at that time there were only us and another two couples on the island. It felt like the resort was ours. Nevertheless, any trip to Sibu Island was never a letdown. This time we tried a new activity called Island Hopping. We enjoyed the beautiful scenery during the boat cruise and stopped at a nearby village in Besar Sibu Island and enjoyed fresh delicious squids for our evening meals. We plan to make Sibu Island Resort a yearly destination for our vacation. So far, we have made it for two consecutive years.
Great hotel with beautiful beach!”
We got a workout climbing the hill to our room & also up & down lots of stairs to the beach each day. It was well worth it though for a great view & private beach with chaise lounge chairs set up for all day relaxing! Enjoyed the mini zoo with deer & peacocks on the grounds. There was a tiny language barrier, but staff was very friendly! Would stay there again.
Wonderful location, great service, good for family”
Resort is in a good location and right on a beautiful beach which was great for young kids. Very friendly staff and lots of activities for families (eg. Animal feeding, kayaking, flying fox). Rooms were nice and comfortable but bathrooms require some upkeep and maintenance. Food was generally good but limited in selection, buffet spread needs some care from stuff to keep away the flies. Do bring your own snacks if possible. Overall a good experience for the whole family and would definitely go back again sometime in the future.
Friendly Staff in a Great Hotel”
We had a great stay with great company from the staff from the hotel and the sea sport corner. Although there nothing much to do by night, the staff there were of great company. During the day they have many activities like team building. Overall clean and nice hotel.
quaint huts with a picturesque view”
very warmly welcomed and was bid farewell by a three piece musical band which gave us the island gateway we needed. the sun was too hot but yet most of us wanted to stay in the sun cos it was just too beautiful to miss.
Great place but lots of children”
Very nice hotel, good facilities, the beach is crystal clear and the animals around the hotel are fun (peacock, deer, rabbits, etc). The food is not extraordinary, the swimming pool was a bit dirty at that time but overall, a good stay! Do not bother with the spa as well, they have a shortage in manpower and expertise.
