    spacious hotel”
we stayed in this hotel just to refresh before we check in another hotel which I booked. we came early in the morning around 7 but the check in time is 2 pm in the other hotel and there is no rooms available also so we stayed here. the rooms are more spacious almost double the size as the other hotel nearby this one. breakfast was also ok. nice and welcoming staffs. pool is big and at the back of the hotel. it is also cheaper than the hotel I booked. this hotel is nearby the pub street and night market.

    Great hotel near night action”
I was travelling alone, the hotel is guestfriendly and the position is very nice and near to night action (just a bit dangerous to walk alone at night, some street are quite dark, just stay on streets with light).......the staff was very helpfull and smiling, so I would definitely go there again!

    Four night stay”
    Location, cleaning staff were lovely,
Hotel describes itself as a cafe/dining hotel, this is not so. Rooms very dated and towels were disgusting. Breakfast selection was just dictated to you across the reception area by I assume the hotel manager. Upon arrival I was not shown around or told where breakfast was to be served or what time or where the pool was. I was just left to it. And every time I went out I was questioned by the I assume manager, where was I going!

    Brimming with scum and filth.”
The bed was okay. Cant think of two more things.
The moment we stepped in the door, the greasy manager - Mr Mean, no less, was pushing us to eat at a particular restaurant down the road. He said it was vegetarian friendly, as my partner is vego. He lied - the staff didn't even know what vegetarian meant. As it turns out, Mr Mean also managed the restaurant. The food was overpriced and tasteless, the meat tough enough to probably be rat. The next morning we claimed our complimentary breakfast. I had scrambled eggs, which were full of mostly unripe (green) tomatos, and mostly the dregs of the tomato were used (the top stemmy part). My partner had a fruit salad, which you'd have to try hard to screw up. As we ate, Mr Mean interrupted us a few times, trying to sell us tours, not taking the hint. Later that day we arranged a trip to Tonle Sap, using one of Mr Mean's preferred Tuk-Tuk drivers. Should have known better. A half day tour for $60, that lasted about three hours all up, and afterwards the tuk tuk driver tried to sell us on a restaurant that charged $6 US for a toasted ham cheese sandwich. Needless to say, we didn't eat there. In the afternoon we thought we'd try the hotel pool, poor fools that we were. As soon as we stepped outside the smell of raw sewage permeated through the air. Turns out the hotel is next door to the sewer. Tried to read in the deck chairs for a while, but it was just too disgusting. Meanwhile, our room hadn't been made up and there was no replacement water either. When we asked Mr Mean about this, he said it was because we hadn't put our 'please make up my room' sign on the door. But when we looked for it, we couldn't find it! So we went back to Mr Mean, who suddenly switched the story - they don't use signs, you just have to ask them to make up the room. We asked him if this could please be done tomorrow. 'Okay, okay, okay, okay', he said, trying to get rid of us. Of course, our room wasn't made up the next day either. This place is a scam, worth no more than $5 per night.

Nice pool, staff and a lot of ants
We have stayed in the hotel for two nights only, but enjoyed it a lot. The room is nice, but it is worth to pay extra for the air con. Pool is very nice taking into account location. To get to the pool we had to go around smelly kitchen, which was the only minus.

    Backpacker 'plus' hotel”
    Value for money, helpfull owner,
We stayed a couple of days to have a look at the temples around Angkor Wat (what else?) an had a good time in the Side Walk - Never Die (?!) Hotel. It's a really relaxed place, with guests ranging from both backpackers to more senior (does experienced sound better?) travellers. The atmosphere is really laid back and there's always someone in the lobby having a cup of tea, checking their email or waiting for a chat. (or you'll find the owner and staff, asleep at night) The rooms are basic but okay, clean(ish) and you'll have a hot shower. What else do you need? (given the fact that cold beers are available too) The owner is quite helpful finding you a guide or driver to take you around. He also arranged transport to take us to our next destination for a fair price.

do not understand the high scores for this hotel”
location was ok, nothing else was good
This was our least enjoyable stay so far in SE Asia. The room was just about okay for the money but we didn't find the staff welcoming or friendly. The staff seemed to be run by a bunch of guys, walking around topless most of the time (yes, it's hot, but really?!) Breakfast was poor and offered to us as 'what do you want?' in a less than polite tone - choice is bread and eggs. Coffee and tea are self-service and flavourless. Pool was only nice thing about the hotel but we never used it as the 'back-yard' was pretty scruffy. Wouldn't recommend and after our stay here we moved to another place which offered a brilliant stay for about 1-2 pounds more. Definitely better options in Siem Reap.

    Location,cheap,eggs
My stay I found was unusual, these guys who work here went out of their way to pick us up from the bus station for nothing and had to wait due to our bus being late. 2showers in the bathroom very very poor, tv worked when it wanted to!!.bed was a slab of concrete. But breakfast was the best. Bit, fried eggs with bread , scrambled eggs with bread, omelette with bread , boiled eggs with bread.also a plate of fruit, this was handed to us by a sweet lady in reception who picks here feet first!!. Came in one night found some tourists laughing in reception, main receptionist snoring away on a. Camperbed. But you know what I enjoyed my stay and the eccentrics of the staff. We paid about £ 15 per night just about worth it

    Friendly staff, clean, affordable
This was the friendliest staff I encountered in Cambodia (although they were all friendly). One night, I asked the manager if he wanted to shoot some pool at the pub across the street. The table was occupied so he drove me on his motorcycle to a bar downtown where we played a few games. Talk about customer service!!!
