Great Value!”
Large rooms, clean, right in the heart of Siem Reap. Value for money is great as you get breakfast included (huge portions) - nothing like a complimentary coffee, omelette and French bread to kick off your morning, or a huge bowl of fresh fruit. The swimming pool out back is a blessing in the heat, and the staff treat you like family. It's a budget hotel, but feels more like you're staying with friends or family. Would recommend for the price.

Very comfortable beds and decent breakfast”
hotel is run by a cambodian man, mr mean, who is actually nice. the rooms are comfortable and clean with a big bathroom. the breakfast was served pretty much whenever. the staff are helpful in supplying tuk tuks and tour guides for angkor archaeological park, although a guide for one day was enough. close to centre of siem reap and pub street (with few pubs). also helpful with onward travel.

my favourite guest house in Cambodia”
loved this place. was here for over a week. Staff are great and very helpful. I have been travelling in asia for nearly a year and think this was my favourite place so far. Really nice vibe, has a swimming pool and they are constantly cleaning the communal areas. Nice breakfast as well. Will be back here whenever in Siem Reap as it's close to the main tourist areas, a few minutes walk, whilst having a very quiet location

Average Priced comfortable hotel”
Sidewalk is a 10mins walk to the happenings of Siem Reap town. Cheaper meals are all nearby because it's in a nice local village. Hotel room is nice & comfortable with a nice communal terrace on each level. USD night is rather affordable for room of slightly above average quality but if your budget is less than $ /night then hostels on the main street will do. Would appreciate if 1. The toilet don't choke on me. 2. There are fans installed in the lobby & terraces. Higher levels are quieter and definitely nicer.

Clean, spacious rooms”
Side walk hotel is In a nice location, walking distance from downtown siem reap. The rooms were big and clean. The a/c was lovely, hot water always a plus. We arrived around 8 pm after 13 hours of traveling and found the staff to be a little bit rude when we asked some questions about Angkor wat and hiring a tuk tuk driver. Overall pleased with our stay, but not sure if we would stay there again.

Great Hotel, Great Price.”
I booked this hotel not expecting much as there are not many comments on how good this hotel is, but I can honestly say that this hotel is a real good find. As well as being very cheap, we found everything we needed for a comfortable stay at this new hotel. We opted for a room with air con witch is a few dollar more per night than rooms without it. We found the rooms to be a very good size giving us space to lounge in the room if wanted. There is plenty of light in the rooms and our had a television with what seemed to be a million channels on it. We also found the rooms to be spotless - the linen was changed every day. As for the location, the hotel is just a few minutes walk from the restaurants and bars of 'Pub Street'. the hotel is situated parallel to a main road, so the noise of traffic and tuk tuk drivers trying to get fares is not a concern. I really enjoyed my stay here as did my partner - that staff were very helpful but also relaxed and friendly around us. One small critisim is that their menu for food was a bit restrictive - but ask for anything you want and they will make it for you!

Best value for money hotel here”
For the price i got here this is the best deal inSR! Super nice staff, clean rooms, breakfast, good wifi, pool- with sun and chairs. The only thing i dont have is in room safe, and most of the rooms seem to have 2queen beds instead of 1king. For this price this in awesome! You walk to pub steet in 10-15min or take a tuktuk. There are many nice restaurants here on the same street as well.

Just a few problems.”
We stayed at the Sidewalk for a few nights in May when it is extremely hot in Siem Reap, and found the room large cleanish, bright and airy. The mattress was worn, the springs were prominent and hard to avoid while the linen is OK. The room has a fan and air con, mini bar and chairs and table which was good. However, we chose this hotel based on the fact that it had a pool, and the pool is new and beautiful, BUT, there is an overwhelming smell of sewage around the pool area which makes it almost impossible to be there. The smell regularly wafts around and for the times that it is present it is impossible to breathe. While I realize that this is a fact of life in this part of the world to us it rendered the pool unusable which meant the hotel which we chose for the pool wasn't a good choice. Room Tip: We had a ground floor room which was OK but you do get the noise from your upstairs neighbors. All r...

Great service, great hotel, but Agoda messed up.”
Everything about the hotel was fine, including the friendliest staff of all the hotels I stayed in during my trip to Cambodia. The prices are fair for the area. The only problem was that I booked the hotel for two nights originally and decided later (two weeks before my trip) that I wanted to stay a third night. I originally booked a room with air conditioning, but that wasn't available for a third night. However, when I searched Agoda, it said there was a fan-only room available for all three nights. It was a pain to get the booking switched, but I didn't want to have to change rooms, so I made sure I booked the fan-only room for three nights. However, even though it was confirmed through Agoda that I did have a room for three nights, they didn't actually have a room that third night. It turns out that every room is actually an air-con room, but if you don't pay, they don't give you the remote control to the A/C unit. The staff found a room for me next door and continued to serve me breakfast and let me use the internet, but I was a little miffed that I confirmed a booking through such a well-known website and didn't get it. From what I could tell, the error was on Agoda's part, not the hotel, but perhaps some changes need to be made to the booking process so this doesn't happen to other guests.

spacious hotel”
we stayed in this hotel just to refresh before we check in another hotel which I booked. we came early in the morning around 7 but the check in time is 2 pm in the other hotel and there is no rooms available also so we stayed here. the rooms are more spacious almost double the size as the other hotel nearby this one. breakfast was also ok. nice and welcoming staffs. pool is big and at the back of the hotel. it is also cheaper than the hotel I booked. this hotel is nearby the pub street and night market.

Backpacker 'plus' hotel”
We stayed a couple of days to have a look at the temples around Angkor Wat (what else?) an had a good time in the Side Walk - Never Die (?!) Hotel. It's a really relaxed place, with guests ranging from both backpackers to more senior (does experienced sound better?) travellers. The atmosphere is really laid back and there's always someone in the lobby having a cup of tea, checking their email or waiting for a chat. (or you'll find the owner and staff, asleep at night) The rooms are basic but okay, clean(ish) and you'll have a hot shower. What else do you need? (given the fact that cold beers are available too) The owner is quite helpful finding you a guide or driver to take you around. He also arranged transport to take us to our next destination for a fair price.

Ideal base for visiting Ankorwat”
Great place to stay when wanting value for money. Variety of quality eating places outside close by. Not noisy but within 10mins walking to central night Bazzar/Walking Street which is much too boisterous. Staff very friendly.

Welcomed by staff, friendly, comfortable, awesome”
Fantastic, they could not have done more . Staff were super friendly and we welcomed everyone, spent most evenings sitting up with guests out the front of the hotel or in the lobby, great atmosphere and sense of friendship. Would recommend this place to any friend or family travelling in this area, the staff were extremely helpful and would go out of there way to help you in any way they could.

Great hotel with Amazing Staff!”
This place is amazing, and for the value it's outstanding! The double room we had was very spacious with I'm assuming a queen bed! If you can, request 301 as it's top floor by the balcony with sunset views! A massive shout out to the hotel worker/Tutuk rider Jen! He drove us around Angkor Wat for the day, and even packed us breakfast as we would've missed it! (Depart 5am for sunrise). Everyone was friendly and always willing to help, and the pool was a nice addition after a hot day of Temple searching! Room also had a fridge which is handy for beer on the balcony! Would stay again!

Great hotel near night action”
I was travelling alone, the hotel is guestfriendly and the position is very nice and near to night action (just a bit dangerous to walk alone at night, some street are quite dark, just stay on streets with light).......the staff was very helpfull and smiling, so I would definitely go there again!

Great location”
Only a 10 minute stroll to pub street and the markets. Good sized clean rooms, excellent basic breakfast included. Very helpful staff and usually at least one available with good english. Clean pool to refresh in after a dusty day climbing over ankor wat (just ignore the occasional pong from the near by drain). A good place for a fair price.

do not understand the high scores for this hotel”
This was our least enjoyable stay so far in SE Asia. The room was just about okay for the money but we didn't find the staff welcoming or friendly. The staff seemed to be run by a bunch of guys, walking around topless most of the time (yes, it's hot, but really?!) Breakfast was poor and offered to us as 'what do you want?' in a less than polite tone - choice is bread and eggs. Coffee and tea are self-service and flavourless. Pool was only nice thing about the hotel but we never used it as the 'back-yard' was pretty scruffy. Wouldn't recommend and after our stay here we moved to another place which offered a brilliant stay for about 1-2 pounds more. Definitely better options in Siem Reap.

Good basic hotel with basic breakfast. Small pool but clean and okay . ”
Second time here. Room was a bit muskie but incense worked a treat. Easy walking to Pub Street. No problem walking back at night. The street has several good restaurants. Cheap and cheerful!
