Silom hotels & places to stay

i have recently visited Bangkok for the first time ever and have heard a new Marriott hotel just opened. stayed there on the 27th and the 29th of April and this hotel exceeded my expectation. it's located in Surawongse Rd near Bangrak area and was sandwiched by heaps of local markets around. for convenient, there are 2 supermarket across the hotel one called Big C and the other is 7-11. the main stars of this hotels thou are: 1. the pool, infinity pool with a view of the hustling bustling bangkok city which is pretty hard to get 2. the breakfast buffett, omg words cannot describe the breakfast buffet it's a must try when you stay here quick tip, ask for a room that ends in 01 e.g 2101 or 1801, you'll get a premium room which will give you half the pool view and half the city view which i think is the best.

Stayed here for 4 nights in December. The hotel is located at the start of the silom rd. The hotel has recently been refurbished so the rooms have modern fixtures and are extremely spacious and comfortable. The was upgraded to a deluxe room by one of the very friendly check in staff. The rooms have a balcony that overlook the hustle and bustle of silom rd, it is perfect if you are a smoker and don't like to smoke indoors like me. The hotel has an amazing breakfast one of the best that I have seen in Thailand and I have stayed in close to 20 hotels in BKK alone. The hotel also has a beautiful roof top pool with sweeping views of the city. I had noticed some people complaining that the hotel is near a cemetery. I don't see why this would bother any one, I found the cemetery quite beautiful and would always adire the view while waiting for the lift. I think the only thing i did not like about this hotel was that the wifi was not complimentary. I find that most hotels on silom rd charge for wifi. It is 500 baht per day and can be used in the room which is great. I have stayed at two other hotels on silom rd that charge for wifi that you can only use in the loby. over all a lovely stay. It is in walking distance to a BTS station Chit Long from memory and is about a 10 minute walk to the night market and red light district. There is a taxi mafia guy outside the hotel that try's to inflate taxi and tuk tuk fairs so if you need a taxi make sure you ask the security or bell boy to wave one down for you and they will turn their meter off for you. My blood would boil every time that old man would try and get my attention. enjoy your stay!

It was a quick over night stay for to settle some business in Silom area. Overal, thel room is very clean and I believe the hotel is either new or recently renovated. The hotel is right infront of a BTS, therefore getting around wouldn't be a problem considering the heavy traffic area of Silom. Underground parking space is very limited, if I remember correctly, there are no more than 6 to 10 parking lot available and some lot is being used temp storage. Therefore actually parking space is very limited. Never try the breakfast due to booking not include breakfast, so no comment about it.

We were very happy with our stay in Glow Trinity Hotel in Silom. The hotel has pretty much everything you would expect from a four star property. On the arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink and hotel staff took our suitcases up to our room. The room itself was very big (we had a superior room), with big bed as well as a small sofa bed you can sit on or lie on and rest. In addition, there is safety deposit box, fridge with free water included, bath robes, slippers, tv and even an iPhone docking station with speaker if you want to play your music. Internet was working very well. The room was quiet. The hotel comes with a rooftop swimming pool, which is actually located in a building opposite (it's a gym with pool for which you get complimentary ticket at the reception). Location is also great. Very close (5mins walk) to Chong Nonsi BTS Skytrain and within 10-15 minutes walk of all Silom attractions. Our room did not have breakfast included so I am unable to rate the breakfast, however we tried the room service and the food was very good. There are also laundry services: in addition to the standard hotel laundry service, which is very expensive, there is laundry room on the 6th floor, where you can do laundry for BHT100. If you don't know how to operate as all instructions are mainly in Thai, you can find a laundry services on the street not far from the hotel for a similar price. Will definitely stay again.

This hotel is perfect if you want to be the center of things I residence hotel in Silom is conveniently located around amenities and also great for food and walking around. Moving around from this hotel is very convenient it’s about 3.5 minute walk to the nearest BTS Station Chong Nong si BTS Stn. Indeed it’s not a five star property but it makes up for the cleanliness of the rooms the Friendly staff and their efficiency I specially like having breakfast on the roof top when you get a decent view of the city. I would highly recommend staying here and I will definitely stay there again myself

I have stayed at the Siam Heritage twice in the last month. It is in a location that is close to everything. The staff are great and are always very helpful and friendly. The buffet breakfast is excellent with eggs cooked to order. The highlight of the hotel is the rooftop pool and garden. It is truly an oasis in the middle of the chaos of Bangkok! The pool is not large but a good place to relax. The Siam Heritage is not a new modern hotel but it is well maintained. The teak flooring, woodwork and furniture has the flavor of old Siam. This is my new favorite hotel in Silom.

Very nice hotel! Room is very clean, small but very modern. Restaurant is Italian, had a pizza nothing to brag about. The location is great for the price 2 minute walk to Silom, 5 to phat pong. 10-15 walk from Silom mrt just get a tuk tuk, I walked there and it was so hot, tuk tuk 30-50 baht depending on how much u want to haggle. Definitely stay again. No frills or extras but very good hotel!!!!! Thanks RPS staff.

If you are looking for a 5 star hotel in Silom area, this is one of the top choices. Great breakfast buffet, professional staff, facilities pool and gym are ok- but need a bit of upgrading. (still waiting 3 years after for the hotel to fix the spot lights in the pool area.) Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) the hotel is a bit empty due to everyone wanting to stay near Siam district.

In Silom there aren't any 5 stars hotels, Le Meridien is definitely one shining star. Other than it's located in a popular area with lots of life (minus the seedy night life). It's actually very convenient, Not far away from sky train and metro. That means Bangkok is within easy reach and you can skip the horrible traffic jam. Room are very clean, well maintained and modern. Staffs are wonderful and welcoming. This hotel lives up to its good reputation. Which makes me keep coming back.

We stayed 5 nights in this only one month old hotel. It's located in Silom and only a few minutes walk away from 2 MRT and one BTS station. There is a bus stop only a few meters away and taxis and Tuk Tuks are regularly driving by. A small market and several Street food stalls are accessible by foot. The staff is extremely polite and attentive. They try help with whatever task one might have and everything that might need maintenance gets fixed very quick. Our room had a large bed where the matrace could be separated into a "Twin Bed". We had a cupboard to hang our cloths, a relatively large desk, a refrigerator and a big bench where we could put our backpacks. The room was even equipped with a big flat screen TV. The interiors were all new and still very well taken care off. They offer a lot of bathroom amenities like toothbrush, a comb, a shaver and so on. I liked that they offer the shampoo and the bath soap in an environment friendly dispenser directly in the shower. Another great feature that comes in very handy are the washing machines and the dryers on the 8th floor. It costs 30 Baht for a run to wash and about the same for the dryer. The WiFi is free and it works very well. Angie, the hotel boss, and her team are doing a remarkable job. Keep up the good work.

we usually pick 3-4 stars when we travel, but holiday inn silom was on a great deal at agoda so we couldn't resist and dont repent it a single minute the hotel is huge with nice bog rooms and clean toilets. the breakfast was nice and it had options for the vegetarians too the only issue was the 30 minute travel to any nightsopt or shopping place. silom is central if you have to travel to prathunam and sukumvit, but otherwise it gets a little far off if you intend to shop till you drop, then prathunam is the area, but if its a holiday and you dont mind taking those cabs once in a way then holiday inn is a good choice

Location wise is perfect. Near BTS and MRT for moving around. Silom itself is a must visit place and this hostel is right in the middle of it. The hostel is well kept even though it is busy with guest. The interior is cool looking and interesting for those who are looking for some good looking property. Do check out the rooftop! Facilities are top notch. Coin operated laundry works well and hanging space is provided though a bit small. The snack bar is satisfying. Love the cookies, snacks, ramen and the drinks. Kitchen is well equipped. Bed is very comfortable. Sleeping here is pleasant even though it is on top of bars and club. Conveniently go back to sleep after enjoying nightlife scene. Valuable for the price. I will surely return to Silom Space.

Bally's studio suites Silom Hotel is really a good choice refer by my friend. It has a strategy location where I can easy access to the MRT and BST the two common public transport system in Bangkok. And it only took me 5 minutes to reach the stations by walking. Some more, you can do shopping in the morning in those nearby shopping complex, at night there is a permanent night market for you to shop and as well others stalls will start business after 7pm along the road side. Food is definitely not a problem. If you dare not to try the food stalls on the street, they are plenty of restaurants for you to visit. I am travelling with a male friend, at first the hotel gave a queen size bed room which we not prefer. Finally we got into a two double beds room where we found the room size is bigger. So, my friends, if you are not couple, go for the 2 beds room. It worth the value of money.

I wasn't expecting more at this booking as I knew that it is very low cost place and it's not a hotel with any star. I just wanted to have a place to stay in Silom which is walking distance to BTS Station and lot of food stalls nearby and where we can put our baggage and have at least our feet rest after long walks. But our room was upgraded for free and had restful sleep and long warm bath. We got more than we paid for and the staffs are great, they provided our requests promptly like extra tissues and towels. I can say that it should be a 2-star hotel, not just a lodging inn.

Location : less than 5min walk to the nearest bts is Sala Daeng, nearest MRT is Silom. Both are within walking distance and along the walk way, it is full of local life, so many shops and road side stalls along the street. The street gets busy as early as 7-8am and the crowd subsided till around 1-2am. Convenient stores are every where. Zanotti restaurant is within the hotel. Served very good Italian food. Many hi-so Thais dine around here. Get a Grab to siam/central world/MBK/4-faced Buddha are very convenient. Cost around B120. Con : non smoking room because I am a smoker. Hotel doesn’t provide toothbrushes and other amenities. What was provided are shampoo and body shower gel. No bedroom slippers too. Hotel lobby is just so-so, nothing fancy but the room is well appointed. Bed is comfy. Pillow is firm, aircon is good. Water pressure is at a comfortable level. If you are LGBT, this is a good hotel to be around the LGBT establishments!

i had a lovely time at narai hotel in silom, bangkok. it is a rather older hotel, but, it is very clean, and comfortable. the staff were friendly and attentive. the area was proximal to the trains station and was very safe. lots of good foods and shopping in the neighborhood. the hotel is equipped with indoor gym and a lovely outdoor pool as well. overall, excellent!!!!

I travel for business almost 3-4 times in a month and usually stay at this hotel. I've tried almost all good hotels in Silom area and consider Novotel Fenix as one of the best in the same budget range. The hotel is mid size as compared to it's peers, located at one of the best locations and has range of all required facilities. What sets it apart for me is: 1. Attentive, happy and helpful staff. 2. Quiet and peaceful from the time I check in, till check out. 3. Renovated rooms, with multi-plug settings, and a good shower. Also comfortable bed that doesnt smell of cigarette, non-smelly floor/room. Good views. 4. Unlike other hotels in the vicinity that are full of bus loaded travellers,since the hotel size is not huge, it fits into my requirement of simplicity, coziness and not people running around. Cons: never had any bad experience so far.

I had one of my best budget hotel stay in silom Bangkok in this hotel. Got the room at an attractive half price during agoda promotion. The hotel is nicely tucked at a back street opposite Tawana hotel, right beside The Green massage (which I frequent a lot) Room is extremely comfortable (603). The super king bed was so comfortable it’s hard to get up in the morning. Hot water is instant. And plenty. The beautiful lady in charge upgraded me to a higher room instantly when I requested it. Love her! And all the friendly and adorable staffs especially Kofy. Songkran had been amazing partially due to the accessibility of this hotel (change and bathe easily) and they even have songkran mini party outside the hotel on the road! Overall. 5 stars for friendly stuffs, comfort, and accessibility. I will be back. - William Marquis Goh (Singapore)

We didn't have high expectations because of the price we paid but boy, were we surprised. Although not in a fantastic area and not a great deal in the immediate vicinity, the iSanook is clean and bright, our room was a very good size with a VERY large bed, plenty of draws and hanging space, tv (that we never even switched on) a good sized fridge/freezer, a safe in the wardrobe and a clean light bathroom with one of the best showers that I have had in ANY hotel. The pool area was clean and fresh towels were always on the sunbeds and the pool itself was clean and inviting. Our one concern was the tiles from the buildings to the pool and around the pool area itself were VERY slippery when wet and one of our party slipped on the steps coming down from the pool and ended up with a HUGE black bruise on her butt, not a pretty sight a week later in a bikini on Bondi !!!!!! That aside, the staff were fantastic, with information on just about anything you needed to know for your trip to Bangkok and the free hotel tuk tuk (outbound from the hotel only) made up to some degree for the "not so perfect" location. We never ate at the iSanook apart from breakfast which was standard hostel food with cereals, toast, jam, yoghurt, fruit, eggs (boiled and scrambled) sausages and the usual Asia thing of a rice or noodle dish. They did have a pretty good menu for main meals at reasonable prices, it was just that we were out for most of the day when we were there so tended to eat then. Now the big question.......would we stay there again.........yes, yes, yes. We are both usually "four star hotel people" (59 and 54) and only started trying hostels since attempting to keep up with a daughter travelling the world with her boyfriend and them being on a tight budget, but I can honestly say that the iSanook is one of the best wev'e stayed in for the price and if your a young "whipper snapper" dont be put of by "us oldies" staying there, it was mostly young travellers. !!

The location was very accessible, though not along the major thoroughfare (which also prevents noise pollution). It's in the heart of Silom area, probably a hundred meters from Saladaeng BTS station, and less than 500m from Silom station. The lobby was surprisingly spacious, with outdoor tables/seating connected to Amazon cafe which is located in front of the hotel. Hotel is relatively new (just started operation in Dec 2016) thus rooms and furniture are still in very good condition. Rooms are well maintained, bed and pillows are comfortably soft. The room that i have booked don't have windows (which worries me initially), however it becomes less noticeable due to light and cozy room interior palette. Wi-fi signal is quite strong on every floor. Staff are very attentive and helpful (particularly Clay). Will most probably stay here on my next visit.

swiss lodge is strategically located in silom / saladaeng. it is just a 3 minute walk to the saladaeng bts station. you will find a variety of restaurants, stalls along silom / saladaeng. the hotel though is not new but it is well maintained and very clean. all their staff including their cleaners are very polite and well trained to serve your every single need. the room is reasonably large. certainly, i love the water pressure in the bathroom. safety box is provided in the room, the bed is comfortable and clean. the food served at the restaurant is of quality and clean. you may walk down to the street with just a few minute to catch the bts (mrt) at saladaeng; there are only 2 stations away from the major shopping complexes in siam (paragon, siam centre etc)

Very pleasant and enjoyed. Very good location and easy access to main street Silom, which is very good as Saladaeng 2 Road is quiet but very near to main road Silom which is the heart of night market and nightlife. The concept of the room is simple, elegant and trendy. The room is spacious and comfortable in all aspects from bedding to bathroom. The price is very reasonable and in fact very worth value if finding a nice cozy homey good hotel with good location in less than USD50. This hotel is always fully booked and I have been wishing to stay here since few times but unfortunately fully booked, but this time opportunity came and I stayed here and it is awesome. Staff are multi lingual and very friendly and helpful, which is can compared to the 5-star establishments. Free flow of coffee at lobby 24 hours with variety of coffee from coffee making machines and small titbits too. Breakfast is sandwiches and toasts which are sufficient enough for the start of the morning, and save your stomach for the rest of the Thai food outside as you won't be burdened with too great breakfast and no appetite to eat outside. Clean and comfortable, as I am very particular on hotel rooms and bathroom and public areas, which this small boutique hotel has amazed me with the condition. Definitely will return and stay here whenever I come for trip to Bangkok.
