The Quarter Silom by UHG

"It's my ever first stay with The Quarter Silom by UHG. The hotel is totally new and decorated with modern style. I really loved it, the breakfast was also terrific. I was taken care and served the best service during check in by K. Mickey and Khun Patrick. Recommended!!!"

Red Planet Bangkok Surawong

"I was run out of options because all of my favorite hotels were booked. Then I was lucky enough to find RPS. The hotel actually tripled for walking to BTS Chong Nonsi than I expected :) However, we had great time here as it turned out so good service vs. the amount of money we paid. You may find the lobby at second floor, the ground floor receptionist belongs to transportation service. And add on is the 7/11 at front gate + few minutes walk to Hualamphong temple or Silom night market."

Kokotel Bangkok Surawong

"This is one of the best hotel for family with young kids. The kids love it badly from the spiral slide at the lobby, game room to the cutely decorated bunk bed in the room. The staffs are friendly and listened to our need attentively. The cafe at the lobby serves equivalent 5-stars tasty food. It's very convenient when we ran out of time before departing to other destinations. Also, there is a morning market with local eateries just a few blocks away from the hotel. Not to forget the 7-11 convenient store at the same row. The elevator installed with security scan device as double safety to the hotel residents as the downstairs is operated as a cafe. Level 8 is a pantry plus self-service laundry section. It is cheap and handy to use. There is also parking lot beside the hotel with a helpful security guard taking care of the traffic. Overall, our stay was awesome!"

Trinity Silom Hotel

"We were very happy with our stay in Glow Trinity Hotel in Silom. The hotel has pretty much everything you would expect from a four star property. On the arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink and hotel staff took our suitcases up to our room. The room itself was very big (we had a superior room), with big bed as well as a small sofa bed you can sit on or lie on and rest. In addition, there is safety deposit box, fridge with free water included, bath robes, slippers, tv and even an iPhone docking station with speaker if you want to play your music. Internet was working very well. The room was quiet. The hotel comes with a rooftop swimming pool, which is actually located in a building opposite (it's a gym with pool for which you get complimentary ticket at the reception). Location is also great. Very close (5mins walk) to Chong Nonsi BTS Skytrain and within 10-15 minutes walk of all Silom attractions. Our room did not have breakfast included so I am unable to rate the breakfast, however we tried the room service and the food was very good. There are also laundry services: in addition to the standard hotel laundry service, which is very expensive, there is laundry room on the 6th floor, where you can do laundry for BHT100. If you don't know how to operate as all instructions are mainly in Thai, you can find a laundry services on the street not far from the hotel for a similar price. Will definitely stay again."

iSanook Bangkok

"I have stayed quite a few places in Bangkok over the years, and this was definitely the best value for money. I booked an Eco Studio for less than 1100 bath per night but was somehow upgraded to a bigger and better corner room (iSanook Studio) with a really nice view of the Silom skyline. My only complaint is that the Wi-Fi was slow. I like the local neighbourhood feel; there's nice, inexpensive thai food to be had just around the corner. The gym is small but well equipped and has great views."

Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park

"If you are looking for a 5 star hotel in Silom area, this is one of the top choices. Great breakfast buffet, professional staff, facilities pool and gym are ok- but need a bit of upgrading. (still waiting 3 years after for the hotel to fix the spot lights in the pool area.) Unfortunately (or maybe fortunately) the hotel is a bit empty due to everyone wanting to stay near Siam district."

"I have lost count of the number of times I have stayed in this wonderful Silom hotel. Top notch facility and cleanliness. Location is hard to beat. Staffs are very all very trained with special mention to supervisor Yo for her most professional service. She is one of the best and friendliest frontline staff I have met. Kudos to all at this marvelous hotel!"

Amara Bangkok Hotel

"This is a new hotel in the Silom area and is well worth its 5 star rating. Other reviewers have commented on the staff (professional & friendly), and this is certainly the case. The location is great as it provides a nice balance between the night-life of Silom, but the quietness to escape the crowds when needed. Plenty of dining choices around and the selection of 2 BTS stations about an 8 minute walk to either. The sky bar and pool is a great place to dust off the days events and survey the Bangkok night sky-line. Great staff and amenities and great choice for a stay in Bangkok, look forward to a return visit so. "

The Tarntawan Hotel Surawong Bangkok

"I had one of my best budget hotel stay in silom Bangkok in this hotel. Got the room at an attractive half price during agoda promotion. The hotel is nicely tucked at a back street opposite Tawana hotel, right beside The Green massage (which I frequent a lot) Room is extremely comfortable (603). The super king bed was so comfortable it’s hard to get up in the morning. Hot water is instant. And plenty. The beautiful lady in charge upgraded me to a higher room instantly when I requested it. Love her! And all the friendly and adorable staffs especially Kofy. Songkran had been amazing partially due to the accessibility of this hotel (change and bathe easily) and they even have songkran mini party outside the hotel on the road! Overall. 5 stars for friendly stuffs, comfort, and accessibility. I will be back. - William Marquis Goh (Singapore) "

More about Silom

Silom and Sathorn roads are the boundaries of the fastest-growing business district in Bangkok. This successful financial hub boasts gleaming skyscrapers housing bank headquarters, embassies and corporate offices. Hotels in Silom and Sathorn are among the best in Bangkok.

The area is nicknamed the ‘Wall Street of Bangkok’, a fitting enough title considering the fast success of local financial institutions. While the daytime emphasis is on business and finance, the after-hours scene takes an unexpected turn. Patpong is Bangkok’s best-known after-hours district, with go-go bars and a neon night market that brings tourists of all ages and nationalities out in droves.

Hotels in Silom and Sathorn are popular with business travelers, and many have excellent conference facilities. They also feature chic lounges and restaurants where business deals are worked out on a nightly basis. Two of Bangkok's three open-air bars are in the Silom/Sathorn areas – Moon Bar, on the 61th floor of the Banyan Tree and Sky Bar on the 63rd Floor of State Tower – both venues with prices to match their altitudes. Whether enjoying a full-course dinner or stopping by for drinks, the views alone are worth the price.

While the best shopping districts are to the north in the Sukhumvit and Siam districts, there are a few smaller shopping malls in Silom and Sathorn. Central Rama III, close to the Chao Phraya River and the arterial Narathiwas Road, is the biggest in the area. There are also a few shops to the north around Wireless Road and Ploenchit.

Getting to and from Silom and Sathorn couldn’t be easier thanks to the skytrain (BTS) and metro (MRT). The skytrain’s Silom Line (Sala Daeng BTS) has an exchange with the metro (at Silom MRT), making it possible to connect to most districts in Bangkok.
