"It's my ever first stay with The Quarter Silom by UHG. The hotel is totally new and decorated with modern style. I really loved it, the breakfast was also terrific. I was taken care and served the best service during check in by K. Mickey and Khun Patrick. Recommended!!!"

Red Planet Bangkok Surawong

"I was run out of options because all of my favorite hotels were booked. Then I was lucky enough to find RPS. The hotel actually tripled for walking to BTS Chong Nonsi than I expected :) However, we had great time here as it turned out so good service vs. the amount of money we paid. You may find the lobby at second floor, the ground floor receptionist belongs to transportation service. And add on is the 7/11 at front gate + few minutes walk to Hualamphong temple or Silom night market."

Trinity Silom Hotel

"We were very happy with our stay in Glow Trinity Hotel in Silom. The hotel has pretty much everything you would expect from a four star property. On the arrival, we were greeted with a welcome drink and hotel staff took our suitcases up to our room. The room itself was very big (we had a superior room), with big bed as well as a small sofa bed you can sit on or lie on and rest. In addition, there is safety deposit box, fridge with free water included, bath robes, slippers, tv and even an iPhone docking station with speaker if you want to play your music. Internet was working very well. The room was quiet. The hotel comes with a rooftop swimming pool, which is actually located in a building opposite (it's a gym with pool for which you get complimentary ticket at the reception). Location is also great. Very close (5mins walk) to Chong Nonsi BTS Skytrain and within 10-15 minutes walk of all Silom attractions. Our room did not have breakfast included so I am unable to rate the breakfast, however we tried the room service and the food was very good. There are also laundry services: in addition to the standard hotel laundry service, which is very expensive, there is laundry room on the 6th floor, where you can do laundry for BHT100. If you don't know how to operate as all instructions are mainly in Thai, you can find a laundry services on the street not far from the hotel for a similar price. Will definitely stay again."

Holiday Inn Bangkok Silom
Silom,Silom - View on map
"we usually pick 3-4 stars when we travel, but holiday inn silom was on a great deal at agoda so we couldn't resist and dont repent it a single minute the hotel is huge with nice bog rooms and clean toilets. the breakfast was nice and it had options for the vegetarians too the only issue was the 30 minute travel to any nightsopt or shopping place. silom is central if you have to travel to prathunam and sukumvit, but otherwise it gets a little far off if you intend to shop till you drop, then prathunam is the area, but if its a holiday and you dont mind taking those cabs once in a way then holiday inn is a good choice"

Tawana Bangkok Hotel

"I cannot expect better location than this hotel in Silom. Very close to the Skyline and Metro, the hotel is located right at the centre of Bangkok's red light area. A lot of night life activities can be found nearby. Even though the hotel is a little bit old, it maintains excellent service for the customers. And very strict security measures are adopted to insure your personal and property safety."

Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park
Silom,Silom - View on map
"I work/live outside of Bangkok, so when I want to treat myself and stay in a decent hotel in the Silom area, I stay at the Crowne Plaza. I am always amazed with the professionalism of this hotels staff (clerks, waiters and waitresses, cleaning staff,manager..) In Thailand it is difficult to find customer-service that one would find in Singapore or in the States, but this is one hotel that has their act together. The staff is older so maybe this is the secret. I always have my best sleep in this hotel (quiet and the most comfortable beds around) Crowne Plaza is on a dark section of Ramma IV, but do not allow this to scare you. I have walked along this section of Ramma IV in the early hours of the morning from Silom and never a problem. -So easy to go around the corner and instantly you are on Silom where the clubs are, fun shopping at the night stalls, and plenty of restaurants. (NOTE:I would say this is more of a business/ couple/ professional kind of hotel...not a family-oriented hotel. Holiday Inn would have more things for children to do. (Maybe this is why the Crowne Plaza is so quiet!)"

Pullman Bangkok Hotel G

"I loved the hotel. The moment I arrived with the taxi I was greed by 6 staff members. My first thought was I was driven to the wrong hotel. This was such a high standard hotel that I did not know I had booked. When I walked into my room it was surprised with the beauty. Everything in white. Big windows from the sealing to the floor and a super nice bathroom. The only con was the breakfast was not included and maybe a little bit pricy. However I was on vacation and the buffet was excellent. If you want safe money, don't go with the breakfast buffet. You get way cheaper breakfast close by. But if you go with the buffet, it is high standard and can easily compete with those in Vegas I have tried. Overall I loved that hotel and next time I will book it again when I come back to BKK. There was also no problem to bring friends to the hotel room. I had also safe in the room. The gym and pool is maybe not as impressive as shown on the pictures but still nice. Staff was always very helpful and had always a smile on their face. They also ordered me a taxi back to the airport when I had to lave. The hotel is also very close in walking distance to the silom area with all the restaurant and night markets and sky train. You can't do anything wrong if you choose this hotel. One of the best one I have stayed to far."

Kokotel Bangkok Surawong

"This is one of the best hotel for family with young kids. The kids love it badly from the spiral slide at the lobby, game room to the cutely decorated bunk bed in the room. The staffs are friendly and listened to our need attentively. The cafe at the lobby serves equivalent 5-stars tasty food. It's very convenient when we ran out of time before departing to other destinations. Also, there is a morning market with local eateries just a few blocks away from the hotel. Not to forget the 7-11 convenient store at the same row. The elevator installed with security scan device as double safety to the hotel residents as the downstairs is operated as a cafe. Level 8 is a pantry plus self-service laundry section. It is cheap and handy to use. There is also parking lot beside the hotel with a helpful security guard taking care of the traffic. Overall, our stay was awesome!"

More about Silom

Silom and Sathorn roads are the boundaries of the fastest-growing business district in Bangkok. This successful financial hub boasts gleaming skyscrapers housing bank headquarters, embassies and corporate offices. Hotels in Silom and Sathorn are among the best in Bangkok.

The area is nicknamed the ‘Wall Street of Bangkok’, a fitting enough title considering the fast success of local financial institutions. While the daytime emphasis is on business and finance, the after-hours scene takes an unexpected turn. Patpong is Bangkok’s best-known after-hours district, with go-go bars and a neon night market that brings tourists of all ages and nationalities out in droves.

Hotels in Silom and Sathorn are popular with business travelers, and many have excellent conference facilities. They also feature chic lounges and restaurants where business deals are worked out on a nightly basis. Two of Bangkok's three open-air bars are in the Silom/Sathorn areas – Moon Bar, on the 61th floor of the Banyan Tree and Sky Bar on the 63rd Floor of State Tower – both venues with prices to match their altitudes. Whether enjoying a full-course dinner or stopping by for drinks, the views alone are worth the price.

While the best shopping districts are to the north in the Sukhumvit and Siam districts, there are a few smaller shopping malls in Silom and Sathorn. Central Rama III, close to the Chao Phraya River and the arterial Narathiwas Road, is the biggest in the area. There are also a few shops to the north around Wireless Road and Ploenchit.

Getting to and from Silom and Sathorn couldn’t be easier thanks to the skytrain (BTS) and metro (MRT). The skytrain’s Silom Line (Sala Daeng BTS) has an exchange with the metro (at Silom MRT), making it possible to connect to most districts in Bangkok.
