Simple But Pleasant”
We arrived at the Silver Hills Motel quite late at around 7:30pm (late for Tasmania) and check-in was no issue. The staff were friendly and asked us if we wanted to eat in the Hotel Restaurant. None the wiser, we declined thinking there would be food in town. Big mistake, everything closes early in Queenstown! Lucky enough we we able to find a grocery store which sold Pizza cooked fresh which did the Job! We were also the last ones who managed to get a Pizza! In terms of the room, the room had a good view and was cozy. The heater worked a treat and the room was furnished with a bar fridge and microwave (which came in handy). The bathroom probably needs to be updated but was generally clean. Generally speaking about Queenstown, if you don't eat early, then bring some 2 minute noodles because the next closest food store is an hour away.

Conveniently located with apt facilities ”
The motel is sufficient and conveniently located in Queenstown. They also provide a microwave for those who do not want to eat at the ensite restaurant. Would be perfect if the room offers utensils and microwaveable plates, but the friendly staff is more than happy to lend you some from the restaurant if you request from them.

Not a bad Motel accommodation for a small town”
This motel was a good find, thanks to the help of other reviewers on Agoda. Although we had booked a deluxe queen room, on arrival, James (the receptionist/manager) gave us an upgrade to queen +1 bedroom. The room facilities were quite basic, yet sufficient. On arrival, we had some issues with the bar fridge not working properly, however it was replaced after it was brought to managers attention. The motel has a self service Laundry (coin based washers and dryers, ironing board). Washing powder was free. The room I stayed at was located on 1st floor. Some nights were cold. The beds are equipped with electric blanket if required. Also, there is a electric heater in the room. The motel restaurant food was more on the expensive side. The initial night of checkin, we had dinner at this restaurant as we were not familiar with Queenstown. Later found alternative choices. Limited choices in the Queenstown makes this motel a more suitable accommodation, convenient and useful than others in the area.

Comfort in Queenstown”
We stayed for a night during our travels through the wilderness areas of Tasmania. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant provided an outstanding meal. It was so good we did not need breakfast! The rooms are a bit dated and need refurbishment, but was very clean and the bed quite comfortable. All in all, a good place to stop in Queenstown.

Very good”
Good value and location for us in Queenstown worked well after a long day coming across from the mid lands, would have been too far to get to Strahan in one day. Queenstown made for an interesting base to catch the heritage train ride which was well worth the trip, and to explore the interesting landscape from lookouts nearby..

Great view of the mountains around Queenstown and a great restaurant with an open wood fire! Staff are very friendly.

Nice motel”
The motel itself is very clean and cozy. It's not a luxurious type but it contains everything you want. It's centrally located and you can just park the car outside your room.

It had everything we needed.”
It was a pleasant 1 night stay. The staff was friendly & well-equipped to help us out with our enquiries, even though it wasn't related to the motel. We were given a family room with a kitchenette, which was well-equipped for us to use. It allowed us time to relax in the room without the hassle of looking for eateries at odd hours, which was really good as we were travelling on a tight time budget.

Beautiful views, helpful staff”
The hotel was already closed up for the night when I arrived late afternoon, but there was a phone that directly called the manager who came to open the hotel right away. She was very helpful with directions to services. The room itself had a heater and electric blanket, and WiFi worked for most of the time from within the room. There was a kettle, microwave, and fridge, with tea/coffee and milk. A bit pricey for the area, and out of season. Would recommend a stay here overall.

Quiet but Run down ”
Tired and very claustrophobic rooms. Definitely not worth the money and I am surprised how they could charge the rates they do. The rooms are tiny, my room was Queen Deluxe and measured about 4x5 meters.Very dark with wood paneling and all wood type features dominating room made for closed in feel. Bathroom had modern type shower but was tiny.( I dropped soap and had to open door and get out to bend down to retrieve it. Hard bed, lousy TV reception and only Telstra mobile reception here BTW.Flaking paint and wood rot on the outside, badly needs refurbishing. On the plus side the restaurant serves awesome tucker.Try the Bourbon Rib-eye steak served with Scallops and prawns in a white parsley sauce. Wort The $45 Yummmmmmy. The manager and staff are very friendly and helpful and nothing is out of their way to help you. Great Laundry and very clean rooms with linen and room cleaned and vacuumed daily.

Overnight choice”
Comfortable room, nice restaurant to wind down for the day - we sat by the window to enjoy the mountain views. I can't believe how fast the wifi speed was given the location. Friendly staff were very accommodating. Visiting again soon!

Very good”
Decent place, but found it a tad expensive for the size of the room. The restaurant was pretty good and the only lady who was working there in the night was an absolute hero manning the whole place by herself. Breakfast the next day was good as well and it was great having a chat with the owner.

Disappointing experience”
I have stayed in many hotels in my life and am fully aware of the usual welcome that can be expected. I was taken aback by the offhand attitude of the manager upon arrival.I asked about breakfast facilities. His reply was "cooked breakfast would be available on days when his chef turns up. Otherwise, they could always rustle up some continental." The facilities at the motel were very poor. I am not writing this in any hysterical manner, but would recommend you take a visit to the motel to check your willingness to go on using it on your website. Thank You

Value for money”
An interesting town to visit with mining history. Lovely staff. I had the best seafood pasta I had ever tasted in the restaurant with mountain views

We were entirely satisfied with this hotel. It's worth a visit for the food alone.

Interesting location but small sparse rooms”
Very old town not much was new including this place. Very limited facilities, bed was comfy, small bathroom tiny cabinet space. Meals & drinks very ordinary for top dollar prices, suggest byo everything. WiFi internet is a joke, hardly ever worked. I would rate it as 2.5 star. Train trip is much over-rated & over priced.

Small rooms with no service at all”
There was no one at the reception and only a phone number was left for me to dial in. Didn't expect that. I'm not sure if it is normal in Australia. Never seen a staff during my stay. The room is okay but bad soundproof wall. The free wifi always couldn't work. Kind of disappointed.

Chris from Australia”
Family room was definitely too small to fit a double and 2 single beds. No ventilation in the room. Only a standing fan. Disappointing. Fortunately, we only need to put up for 1 night.
