Acceptable”
An alarm started sounding, no one told us what was happening we had to go and find out ourselves and it turned out someone had stolen wallets, phones and a laptop throughout the dorms (we had a private room thank goodness) and escaped through the fire exit. It felt unsafe and dirty

Stay somewhere else if you can”
It was OK after the initial shock of the first night, but I still wouldn't recommend staying here. The staff weren't friendly and they always looked miserable. The kitchen and bathrooms were gross, and they charge you for as many things as they can. You have to pay $2 for the privilege of using a mug! The management leaves whiny, passive-aggressive notes everywhere. The beds were terrible and the other backpackers were always very loud, even after midnight. Oh, and they charge for wifi despite clearly advertising "free wifi!" on many websites. After staying in the nearby Haka Lodge the previous month, where I had a fantastic experience for the same price, there's no reasons for hostels to still be like Silverfern. You can provide a quality, clean, and friendly hostel experience to your guests and still make a profit - Silverfern needs to realize this.

Good”
I think you should take the ban of sleeping bags But you could require that it passes a test for cleanliness either it has been cleaned in the last seven days or that one of your staff examines the sleeping bag and either says yea or nay.

Worst hostel ever”
I was in a 14 bed dorm and there was two showers and two toilets and we were not the only dorm using these. They were not clean regularly either and the showers were push buttons that stayed on for only about 2 minutes, very annoying and frustrating.

not good”
The location is good. However, there was an doupble booking and thus my room wasn't what I had booked. No appologies, no refund. Staff wasn't polite, room and kitchen were were messy.

A bad experience”
Basically it is a disaster. - Poor services (The receptionist was away for a long time but you can reach him. Understandable because seems he is the only staff for that hostel.) - Poor roommates. When I was first arrived the 8-bed dorm, I felt a very bad smell and found rubbish all on the floor. I asked if there is anyone using an apparently empty bed. The people said "no" and then continued to play loud for music. Without a second thought, I decided to change room. - Poor room. Basically I felt allergic and itchy all over the night and I couldn't sleep.

Paid glasses. ”
Dirty, really noisy with drunk people smoking drugs until 5 am. Worst backpack since I'm traveling (2years). Doesn't worth your money at all. And if on the morning your looking for a glass to drink coffee or anything... you will have to buy one ! Insane. Free plates and cutlery, yes, glasses, no way !
