Awesome Stay! Great Amentities and Service!”
Booked a 1-bedroom unit months before the trip and maybe that's why the rate paid for a 2-night stay was very very reasonable. With GPS, Silverwater Resort is easily located within San Remo and the supermarket/ petrol station etc are all within a 3min drive down the main road (towards/ near Phillip Island). The allocated unit (hillside) faces the sea and is a good spot to view sunset at the dining area (balcony). Just like most pictures posted, all room Amentities are clean and good, especially the almost full kitchen that comes with clean crockery, cutleries, fridge, dishwasher etc. Washing liquid included. The only little letdown was the dryer did not dry our clothes as there was some pipe malfunction - btw this was quickly savaged with a very prompt room service; the staff tried to fix but could not and had our clothes immediately sent to housekeeping. Our clothes hence, reached 'home' earlier than us that day. :) The resort also has great facilities which sadly we had no time to use.. I believe the outdoor and indoor pools are great and so is the game arcade. We absolutely love the playground with that big jumping pillow. We totally had fun!! For all the very good touch points we had with the resort and staff, I will say Silverwater Resort is a must-stay the next time we come back. Thumbs up and keep up the good service!
Beautiful Location ”
Stayed at Silverwater in November for one night in 1 bedroom apartment. Was nice to see each accom had allocated car spot and the resort was situated a 3min drive to San Remo shops where you have cafes, bakery, shopping etc. all the necessities. Bendigo bank is also there with ATM. Silverwater is siutated high on a slope which allows a beautiful outlook to sea and Philip Island. Some locals I spoke to prefer this side of the Island and recommend just travelling across, minutes to do so. My room was clean & tidy with a modern presentation. Many windows and at first view, I was a bit uncomfortable with the ground floor dual aspect and had to close some blinds to feel less in a fish bowl. The upside the to large window was the view of the ocean but in saying that, people walking around the resort could see in. I would suggest single travellers to request 1st floor accommodation. Kitchen was fully equipped and plent of room allowed for table and good sized lounge. I suppose the disappointment was no TV in bedroom and a robe would have been a nice touch. The bathroom amenities were loverly although I would request the supplier to fill them up a bit more. The indoor swimming pool looked like about 10-12metres and fully enclosed, small children with parents were taking advantage and I would have done the same had I had more time. Breakfast was compact but sufficient and I found if you book you table with reception its a little cheaper. On a nice day you can move out from breakfast area onto grassed area (good for bored kids in the morning). There is a view from the dinning area - it was very busy on my visit as there was a wedding party but the smiles suggested everyone was happy which is a good sign. I wasnt able to try dinner, maybe next time but would recommend for couples or families, there is also a small playground in the centre of the resort.
Great place to stay”
Silverwater Resort is so far the most comfortable place throughout my stay in Australia. Kitchen is fully equipped with cutlery, bowls and plates, pots and pans of various sizes, dishwasher, ovens, etc.. everything you need for cooking your favourites. We had unit 119 with an ocean view which is great. We paid extra $35 per night for an extra person sleeping on a sofa bed in the lounge, but that's worth it, 'cus its also comfortable. Quiet surroundings and a little pond in front of our unit. Full amenities provided in the bathrooms. Though in early summer, weather is still very cold, less than 15 deg, especially at night. About 5 mins drive to San Remo town where we can get food and groceries. There is a playground in Silverwater Resort too, saw little children having lots of fun there. Great place for families. Its pretty hard to find accomodations with 3 bedrooms and I'm glad Silverwater Resort has it. My family wanted very much to go back to Silverwater Resort if we were to go Philip Island again.
Excellent facilities close to Phillip Island”
We really enjoyed our stay at Silverwater resort and would recommend anyone travelling to Phillip Island stays at least one night here. Food in the restaurant is excellent (A little bit pricey but well worth it), staff are really friendly and the facilities are great. Only thing that let us down was the old food stuck to the blinds and the dust fan in the bathroom.
Great affordable hotel just outside of Phillip Isl”
Considering the expense of staying on Phillip Island, Silverwater Resort was a great alternative. We were a small group, but the extensive grounds with great kids play areas, gym, tennis etc would be perfect for families.
We booked a family apartment with 2 bedrooms. The apartment was fully equipped. It had a washing machine, dryer, dishwasher, microwave oven, fridge, full set of cutleries, glasses, pots and pans and even baking equipment! Very pleased with the cleanliness of the apartment. It had two balconies... One with a views of the ocean and the other with rolling hills and cows grazing. Very close proximity to the bridge that links San Remo and Phillip Island. Has a big playground for kids. Only gripe that is the free toiletries (shower gel and shampoo) were insufficient for a family of four. Other than that, it's perfect. Will definitely come again!
Superb apartment! ”
I would definitely recommend this resort to anyone who visit Phillip Island! This is a great apartment for 2 pax, spacious, clean, very well-equipped. There's a BBQ pit area just beside the kitchen even though I'm staying at the 2nd floor. Kitchen well equipped, anything you need for a home cooked meal. Spacious living with a spacious balcony, cool! Nice scenery too! If you were to drive here, you have your own allocated parking space so no worries about that. Everything about this resort is wonderful & you will never regret booking it. I'll definitely come back here a 2nd time!
Lovely hotel, good location”
The rooms were simple but quite nice. The views were lovely. We had a higher room so could see the sea clearly from our room and balcony. There are no housekeeping services during the stay (I think you could pay for it at an extra $40 a day) but this didn't bother us at all, especially as we were only there for the weekend. The resort is just over the bridge from Phillip Island. The pools are really nice, unfortunately it was too cold to use the outdoor one but it is on a hill with gorgeous views. The indoor pool also has views and is very warm water, good for us as it was cold outside during our stay. Overall for the price we were very happy.
The Silverwater resort is in a modern stylish setting ideal for couples, families and business guests alike. The rooms are well designed neat and tidy, the view of the bay is impressive and the restaurant and bar offered quality food and drink with a friendly service
We had a fantastic time at Silverwater Resort. The restaurant was great and the service equally as good. Most of all, the rooms were big enough for a couple, we weren't cramped, and they were modern and very clean!
The hotel is located not far away from Phillips island, which is 100km away from Melbourne CBD. The resort like hotel has nice deco and some of the rooms (like ours) are having sea view balcony. parking is free and Service is great as well.
Picturesque view and comfortable stay”
Stayed at silverwater on 15 June, after our visit to the penguin parade. The room is new and well-furnished and there is an allocated car park lot just outside the apartment. We reached the hotel late so didnt get to use the facilities, but the staff is friendly and hospitable. Only gripe is that there is no complimentary wifi. Do request for the higher levels to get a clearer view of the sea from the balcony. Hotel is also near to penguin parade, churchill island and Koala conservation centre too. Comfortable stay and would definitely recommend this to travellers who are staying for a few days on Philip Island.
Big resort ”
The resort is located at San Remo, somewhere before the bridge to Philips Island. It is a 25 minutes drive to Penguin Parade. Resort is big, from the reception building to our apartment was 10-15mins on foot. Wouldn't recommend unless you are driving. The place is clean and well maintained. There is indoor swimming pool, jacuzzi and sauna, game arcade, restaurant.
Away from the hustle and bustle”
The resort was very private, and makes a good stop along the way to Phillip Island. San Remo is very quiet and there are limited dining options, we had the hotel breakfast which was decent. We were 5 adults who stayed in the 3BR apartment and it was spacious and lovely. The balcony was nice but had traces of cobwebs which was inevitable. Overall, it was a quiet stay with lovely views.
Nice place, but not the best value for money”
Silverwater Resort is a nice property located 2 kms on the other side of San Remo from Philip Island. The Resort is well positioned if you are looking to be off-island, and it is convenient to depart from this resort if you are headed back to Melbourne. The resort is a nice place, but I believe it is a bit overpriced. I suppose it has a lot of amenities, but for a quick stay at Philip Island area, I would suggest going somewhere else.
Quality Family friendly resort.”
Welcoming staff and beautiful accommodation and views exceeded our expectations. Excellent resort facilities, including heated indoor pools, and children's activities added to holiday enjoyment. Spacious apartment, generous balcony and well-equipped kitchen made our stay comfortable. Easy access to Phillip Island and it's varied activities was another bonus. Only minor quibble was no oven gloves for getting hot dishes out of oven!
Fully furnished Apartment”
we put a nite at this silverwater resort after the penguin parade @ phillip islands. the location of the resort is quite prominent whereby is about 10 - 20 mins drive from the phillip islands. (just a few kilometres after the bridge) the resort is fully equiipped with facilities such as gyms and swimming pools. the apartment unit itself is fully furnished with the necessary utilities. but the resort restaurant food is a bit costly and the taste was not so good but there were no other choice of food available therefore i guess most of the guest have to opt to dine in the resort restaurant.....
Great Family Suite Room”
This hotel is great! Located on the way to Phillip Island, so you won't miss it at all. There is a supermarket named Foodworks just 2 min drive fr hotel. It closes at 8pm. There are also other eateries there for breakfast and lunch. The hotel faces the sea, but we were given level one room, so the view was blocked by trees. I like the hotel environment as it also has a playground with a big platform for children to jump! I would recommend this hotel
Lovely hotel and service with a smile”
Resort was situated right outside Phillip Island. great location if you are planning to spend a day or 2 to visit the island's tourist attractions. Passes to the attractions can also be purchased from the resort which is convenient The unit I was allocated to was on the 3rd floor & thus, had a beautiful view from the 2 balcony that the unit had (front & back). Only negative point was that I had to carry the luggages up to the 3rd floor, which I had quite a lot, plus I had 2 kids with me. Recommend family with young children to go for ground floor units. But that would mean forgoing the beautiful view. A little problem during check out as they billed me breakfast for 4 instead of 2. They included my kids who were under 3. It was rectified after quite a bit of explanation.
Great Warm inviting rooms”
We had a Great time at Silverwater Resort and unfortunately only stayed one night the only issue we had we had a room on ground floor and the room above sounded like we had a family of elephants upstairs from 9pm til 11pm very noisy and same in the morning. Other than that would recommend and if I stayed again would request a room on top floor
