Near Bukit Bintang yet still quiet”

location, staff, value for $$$

After seeing very good online reviews, checked the location & price for Simms Rooms & promptly booked single standard room. After reaching Berjaya Times Square at 330am, i checked the map i saved inside my phone & asked for road directions from some locals. They are approximately 5 ~7 minutes walk from Times Square. Main Door was locked but Night shift hotel officer opened the door, check-in & sent me to my room. Throughout the stay felt even better than Swiss Garden in my last trip, simply based on their Excellent Staff , 24-hours manned reception with a Locked main door, super value for $$$. The pillows were soft & blanket thick & cosy. Rooms & toilet were small but was alright for me.. They are frequent sewage water noises from the sanitary pipe but i am a heavy sleeper(so no issue).. Now i realise that a 2 Star hotel with very cheery staff can make me enjoy my vacation more than a 5-star hotel.. Room amenities are not very new but i did not get a single mosquito bite, bed bugs or rats(which i experienced in 4 & 5 star hotels sometimes. Wonderful stay..

Friendly staff, WiFi issues during my stay”

Staff was very friendly, and I felt very welcome. I never asked for my room to be clean, I did however ask for a new towel something they forgot, but it wasn't a huge deal. The room was clean, although I had the room furthest from the Router (I think) so my connection inside my room was quite bad. Plus the WiFi was completely down during my last day, which was a bit frustrating. However, I've seen about 6-7 hotels around Bukit Bintang and this was probably my favorite regardless=) Will stay again if I come back to KL.

Great location near food street shopping transport”

Location, friendly staff, close to food street/everything

The room was basic but clean, no window but it didn't matter to us. The hotel is located need Jalan Alor, the awesome food street. Ate there every night. Close to transportation and nightlife as well. The reception staff was very friendly, professional and helpful. Breakfast was served to the room and was toast, hot dogs and coffee. Would stay again due to location and price.

Good Budget Hotel with Awsome Location”

Strategic Location, Walking distance to shopping mall, value for money

This is my 1st stay here and I'm pleasantly surprised hotel are clean and comfortable, the staff were helpful and friendly enough.. Located at strategic points, closed to popular malls, Jalan alor where local hawkers stalls are situated, and 15 mins walking distances to Pudu central. Plus, the price were also affordable. I will gladly stay there again on my next trip.

Nice stay”

Nice staff, clean room, nice bed

I booked for single room, and I got king bed instead for the same price. A very nice stay. But my room was just beside the staffs' resting and food preparation area. And it was a bit loud and noisy and i can hear every bit of what they were talking although i cannot understand as early as 6 am.

I love the staying”

I got promotion from agoda when i book the room thus i only pay less than RM50 bucks if i was not forgotten. The place is satisfactory. The breakfast is very plain. One boiled egg and two pieces of bread. No Jam. The staying is okay. Okay for me because the price is cheap too.

Simple overnight stay in mini-room”

location (but unsafe), nice staff, internet

If you just want to have a bed to sleep overnight this hotel is ok; but old condition, room too small & late night to walk near hotel not so safe. All in all i recommend for a night or so when you are like on transit and nead lrt/monorail nearby to get to bus/kl central for further travel.

worst budget hotel I have ever stayed”

When I first checked in they told me I need to pay extra for the double room that I have booked for 2 nights. When I stand firm they told me rooms not available . In the end they offered me a single room and a reduction in rate for the first night and they will let me have a double room for the second night. As it was quite late at night I agreed. The room was FILTHY and when I told them they promised to clean it up. I came back very late at night and nothing was done except the towel on the table was removed. The toilet bowl and seat was not cleaned up, there were cobwebs in the corners and I saw a coacroch crawling around. The facilities that was publicised included car park but in actual fact no car park and I had to park in a public car park and was harrassed into paying although it was supposed to be free. I checked out very early in the morning and cancelled the second night. Not worth the money paid at all. Been to much more better budget hotels at the rate they charge.

Very rundown, no maintenance”

some staff members, wifi, location

It was not up to standard and I'm frankly surprised that Agoda advertises the place. I had to change rooms 3 times since the first room was so noisy, something in the shower area wasn't right. In the second room, the shades over the windows were twisted and torn looking. The front desk clerk just showed me how to close them one by one as if it were normal. The hallways reeked of smoke, children were running around screaming a lot. Ants were everywhere. The breakfast consisted of 2 pieces of dried toast without any condiments, a hard-boiled egg, and some type of sugary coffee packet with hot water. It lasted from 8-9 am and I requested them to deliver the meal 8 am on my last morning as I had to go to the train station rather early. They forgot and I ran to the guy working at the front desk to remind him to bring it up. There is literally one step between the bed and the shower room which is not well ventilated. My scalp started to itch while there, in fact, my whole body became rather itchy. The sink was leaking water constantly. The place gave off a very dirty, unkempt vibe. The hotel needs major renovations and I suppose they don't feel it's necessary to do any proper maintenance.

horrible ”

got to the hotel, lady behind the counter had no idea what she was doing... took her half an hour to check me in.. get to my room literally just behind the lobby.. and the electronic key doesn't work.. go back to front desk get normal key...get into room and the card won't turn on the power so back to reception... get a master card so I can turn in the lights... finally look around the room and the walls and bathroom were filthy... mould on the roof in lots of places.. plus layer of dust 2 CM thick on the ledge behind the bed... go back to reception.. they see apologize and move me to another room... get in this room and there is still rubbish from the last guest in the bed side table.. and the toilet roll holder in the bathroom was held together with sticky tape and covered in faeces still more dust on the ledge behind the bed..back to reception.. I head out so they can fix it... come back and they just used gaffer tape to hold the toilet roll holder together.. dust still there..gave up at that point.. large dead cockroach on the stairs to my room in the second day..didn't say anything to see what happened.. cockroach was there for 2 days until I said something... and even then they didn't do it till the next day.. a mate came to see my room.. and as we left a giant rat ran down the hallway... wasn't surprised by this at this point..i could go on and on.. all I can say is don't stay at this hotel.. ever
