Excellent”
We stayed in the cliff resort the sister hotel a few steps away but booked at Talay originally. The pool and lobby and restaurant were beautiful and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. Downsides were the room had no blinds on the window so no privacy to people walking by and also the window didn’t close so it was at sometimes super loud that woke us up. We were overall very impressed for the money. Pool was incredible and the views !! Lots of pool chairs and lobby bathrooms were so clean and beautiful. We’d stay here again and again. Right on the walking strip to all restaurants and bars.

You get what you pay for ”
This place was at a good location. You had to cross the street to get to the pool but the pool had plenty of water circulation, which kept it nice and cool. We took a fan room. Fan room means the fan is on the ceiling and it rotates around the room without the option to have it pointed directly on you. It was in my opinion pretty useless and kept the room very hot. My suggestion is if you have issues with the heat grab a room with an aircon. Only stayed one night because it was too hot but other than that it’s not a bad place. They have amazing staff for the scuba section and their boats are awesome. I would recommend the diving for everyone. Safe travels and awesome journeys!

Really needs to decide if it’s just going to be a divers resort or available to everyone ”
We really looked forward to our stay and the location of our bungalow was excellent. However it was one of the most expensive along the strip and definitely needed so much tlc compared to the rest. All of the bedding was torn, the towels were threadbare, the bins around the pool area were never emptied, the pool was green and the beach was full of rubbish. The managers really need to have a look at the surrounding competition to stay in the game. Hate giving poor reviews but it’s fully deserved

Bad room design and service ”
Room was lacking furniture (auxiliar table and so on), power plugs, etc. They never changed our bedsheets or towels in a 4 day stay. Only gave us soap first day. Very hot room with big windows without mosquito net. Needed to keep them closed all time.

Rats in the rooms and they didn't care!”
The staff were very nice and so was the view but that was all. We had rats in the tents two of the nights and they just shrugged their shoulders. It's not nice living with rat droppings and lying awake at night listening to them scurrying around. When I told them they just said too bad. Would not recommend it at all. Taxi into town VERY expensive and the steps down to the tents unbelievable. Go somewhere else.

This hotel is a liar”
First of all, I ordered a special room, the price is really cheap, but I can not tolerate using false photos, no matter how much I ordered the room, I have to know the real situation of the room. What's more, it's not a special room at all. It's the same price without reservation. Then, there was no hot water and no air conditioning in the room. Actually, it's not that you don't have it, but that you can have it just by adding more money. In fact, the room I was given was not in the hotel at all, but in the Youth Hostel opposite. This fraudulent marketing strategy, I will never come back.

We stayed at the Simple Life resort for 5 nights. You do not pay much for a private 'house'. The room is not that big, but we found it big enough. The bathroom is quite large. On the first day we had no warm water and there are no windows in the room. Only some open windows. Not that well for the mosquitos of course. We contacted the staff and the boiler was fixed right away. It's pretty good for what you pay for it! The location is well. You can walk to Mae Haad centre by the pier in like 10 minutes and walk to Sairee Beach centre in like 15-20 minutes. The boulevard to both places are full of diving centres, bike rentals, restaurants and everything so it's a good walk! The pool is good but most of the time they are learning to dive out there. But that's no problem, you can enter the pool whenever you want. There's also a small private beach at this resort, really perfect!

Nice resort with improvement potential”
We overall enjoyed our stay on Ko Tao and in the resort, however for next time, we would choose another hotel. What was good? - Overall nice facilities, the pool is 'dominated' by divers but still very nice - Cleanliness of our room and the facilities was good - Free pickup from the pier on arrival - The motorbike rental recommended to us by the reception (DD hut) was quite good and cheap What was not so good? - We had booked a 'beach front' bungalow for an extra fee, which was sort of a 'scam': we could see the ocean from our front porch, but the bungalow was not at the beach front - Room service was not done on one day, only when we asked for it in the evening - There were ants in our breakfast meal (muesli yoghurt), they accepted that i would not pay for this only after we insisted - Music played at the bar was often too loud in our opinion. They should opt for more 'chill out' style music, less 'dance club' - Bed sheets were not changed every other day as is stated in the hotel booklet in the room, bathroom was not cleaned properly on at least one day

Comfortable accomodation at a very good locating”
Pro's: - Enough space for two people, big bed, big enough bathroom, even a balcony/porch for sitting outside and hanging weth clothes. - Every bungalow has a sort of sea view, so no need to pay more, you can just as well take the garden view bungalow. - Nice pool from where you can see the beautiful sunset. - Private beach - Bar/restaurant nearby the bungalows that even brings food to your room if you order on the bar. - Clean - Good facilities like a safe, airco, tv - Very good location, next to Sairee beach - free pickup at the pier (you can also walk) Cons: - A bit expansive - Bar can be loud at night. - No breakfast included - Staff is not always helpful.

Left after first night! ”
The pool is was a funny shade of green and completely covered in algae as well and pool side in ants that won't leave you alone. Only room for 4 sun beds. It's also a bit further away from the main part of Lanta so lots of walking before you get anywhere and limited restaurant options for dinner as it all shuts down early as they try to usher you out to head in to the main town where it's all happening. This place may well be good for a budget diving holiday but not as a normal holiday. We stayed in the garden view apartment and the room was as wide as the bed - literally. The ensuite was made of breeze block and didn't have windows - just bricks missing around the top which led to the main road.

Reservamos la habitación (opción que aparecía con fotos) y al llegar no habían recibido la reserva por parte de Agoda y nos dieron una habitación totalmente desastrosa, que no era la que ofrecían en la página. El baño tenía una fuga de agua cada vez que abríamos el grifo por lo que lo comentamos y después de comprobarlo nos cambiaron a otra del estilo. Nos sentimos engañadas y decidimos que no nos quedaríamos. El día siguiente nos ofrecieron la habitación que aparecía en la web si pagabamos un extra y como ya nos parecía suficiente lo que habíamos pagado no aceptamos. Llevamos varias semanas viajando por Tailandia y sabemos que esperarnos según qué precios y este hotel tiene una tarifa desproporcionada para lo que ofrece. Hemos estado en hoteles increíbles por lo que hemos pagado una noche en este. Decepción total.

UN HORROR ”
Llegamos hacer el registro, nos piden 1000 bhats de deposito ( no entiendo no hay minibar ) nos acompañan a la habitación, primera vista la cama que es muy grande no se puede entrar por los lados bueno preguntamos como funciona la caja de seguridad y tras varios intentos no funciona nos proponen cambiar de hab. a una mas arriba, no perdone usted yo pague por una hab. con vistas a la playa por cierto muy pequeña,me proponen arreglar o cambiar la caja de seguridad, ok espero, mientras espero reviso la hab. primero las toallas que están encima de la cama en forma de flor al deshacerlas están agujereadas; voy al cuarto de baño abrí uno de los cajones y estaba lleno de agua en ese momento decidí, cambiar de hotel y que me devolvieran el dinero. A todo esto hay que decir que pregunte por la piscina porque había buzos y me dijeron que estaban dado clase, vamos que por las mañanas todas por lo que entendí la piscina es de uso para los buzos los clientes hospedados pueden hacer uso pero con los buzos muy desagradable. UN ANTRO.

Les portes des chambres ne ferment pas, il n'y a pas de lumière dans la chambre à part une veilleuse, les plafonds sont moisis, aucun rangement, les lits ressemblent à une planche de bois, pas de couverture... Les photos de la piscine font rêver quand on y est c'est la douche froide ! Absolument rien à voir niveau propreté. Je ne le recommande pas pour le prix on peut trouver mieux.

Alles OK. Aber 5% (30 EUR bei uns) bei Mastercard Zahlung Aufpreis schon unverschämt im Verhältnis. Tipp besser Barzahlung bei Ankunft. Auch nicht Bungalow unter Terrasse wählen denn morgens wird gereinigt und Stühle gerückt. Dementsprechend laut ;-)

Absolut Frechheit ”
Meine Freundin und ich haben dieses Hotel in Agoda gefunden und fanden es auf den Foto echt Klasse auch vom Preis her alles eig in Ordnung also haben wir es online gebucht und auch gleich mit Kreditkarte bezahlt es kamm die Bestätigung usw alles top bis dahin !!! Doch dann sind wir angekommen und die Dame an der Rezeption meine nur zu uns es sei jetzt teurer weil noch 5% Gebühr drauf kommen würden für Kartenzahlung ?!? Wir haben nachgefragt und bekamen nur die Antwort das ist auf Koh TAO halt so ich haben dir zu verstehen gegeben das ich es aber schon bei Agoda bezahlt habe und sie sagt ja das haben wir storniert und jetzt müsste ich eben mehr bezahlen wenn ich das Zimmer mit Karte zahlen möchte aber wenn ich bar bezahle fallen die Gebühren nicht an ?!? Dann habe ich ihr gesagt das es betrug ist und ich mich bei Agoda über sie Beschweren werde !!! Das hat sie aber nicht interessiert Alles in allem ein richtige Abzocke nicht hingehen !!!! und auch die Zimmer und der Stand sind eine einzige verarsche
