Basic roof over your head”
Pros: The hostel is clean, has very friendly and helpful staff, is in a good location, offers free WiFi, and gives you a voucher for a free drink at the neighbouring restaurant if you buy a meal there. Cons: I've stayed in hostels in 30+ countries and the beds here were up there with the most uncomfortable among them - thin, hard, and extremely plastically (every movement makes a rustle that is heard throughout the room). There is little ventilation in the dorms, consisting of one small window that can only be partially opened (for a 10-bed dorm). There are no kitchen facilities other than a microwave, and no free tea or coffee. There are very few toilets and showers (which I imagine would be a nightmare in the busy season). There are also no locks on any of the dorm room doors or lockers, and people can easily come and go from the hostel without being stopped at reception. The only way to keep valuables secure is to buy a nonrefundable lock for 3€. All in all, the place is okay if you simply need a roof over your head. Admittedly it's the only Dutch hostel I've stayed in so I'm not sure what the standard is, but for other places in Europe, paying 30€ per night for a 10-bed dorm in a volunteer run hostel with such limited facilities is, in my opinion, not the best value. But also not the worst!

gewoon waar voor je geld”
top, gewoon gezellig en normale mensen zonder poeha en geslijm. Zoals het hoort. Je moet er ook niet een hoge service verwachten, dan moet je in duurdere hotels met slijmballen gaan logeren.
