Paradise!”

Everything at Singa was wonderful. The only sad part was that we were only staying for one night. The room (#11) was fantastic, though with the open bath, probably best for solo travelers or couples. The service was friendly and helpful, and breakfast was delicious. It was a perfect stay!

Inconsistency at Singa Lodge”

Singa Lodge manager is a flip flopper, she changers rules of the lodge over night. We had a braai and swam last weekend with my family and friends at Singa Lodge. When we booked again for the following weekend for my wife's birthday, we were told our visitors will have to pay R150 each as an entrance fee until 10pm. Then after 10pm our visitors will pay R250 every 30mins.

Absolute pleasure”

Everything you need away from your home. What's more is that this guest house is located in the busy Summerstrand and yet it has a pin dropping silence! You can work and still enjoy being on holiday with the bar and swimming pool perfectly positioned.

Awesome place ”

Very friendly staff. Great location. Big and comfortable rooms. Enjoyed the stay and flexibility afforded by the Singa team.

Singa lodge is a great concept and set up.It was however in serious need of an upgrade. ”

Concept, layout and proximity to the beaches, restaurants and airport make it a good location. I would keep the Asian theme and layout however needs an upgrade. In our room it was in need of decoration, bath shower did not work correctly external and internal doors did not open / close properly as were the windows. This does sound harsh however with the upgrade currently underway I would revisit Singa Lodge.

Didn't Sleep ”

We stayed in Singa Lodge before a 19 hour journey back to Ireland. When we landed everything was lovely - room, staff and hotel. We went out for dinner and returned to our room around 11pm to get a good nights sleep before our flight. When we landed back at our room we noticed a group of men standing outside the room next door smoking, with girls screaming inside the room. It was pretty clear they were having a massive room party next door as the screaming did not stop until roughly 5:30am. I called securely twice and no action was taken. Honestly, there must of been 15 people in the room next door because they were blaring music, banging chairs, screaming etc for hours. The most disappointing part of this is that I lodged a complaint and have still not received a response from the manager - 23 days later. I have followed up three times asking for a response from the manager and still nothing. This was a complete waste of money.

Lovely place”

The hotel was very nice and security on the outside was good. They went above and beyond for our special occasion to make our stay rememberable. It was in a good location and the room was very nice. Breakfast was also very good.

A little quirky gem close to Port Elizabeth”

We received a very warm welcome from the staff on arriving. Our room was spacious and calm. We elected to have the evening meal which was from a set menu with a few choices. The food was freshly cooked and delicious. An excellent choice in an oasis of calm.

Exceptional”

We stayed at this property for one night. The rooms are beautiful, clean, spacious and bright. The staff were really friendly and the poached eggs benedict for breakfast was amazing. Would definitely recommend.

Fabulous room”

Stunning double storey room with colourful lounge. Spacious bedroom with comfortable bed and high quality linen and cushions. Extremely nice bathroom. Staff welcoming and friendly

room was really big, with a nice big shower. overlall very lovely place indeed, great breakfast. Except we had to park our car outside the gate, no parking inside the premises it seemed.

Great location and staff very friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend the restaurant for evening meal.

Our Stay In Little India”

The room we stayed in was very basic but was compensated by the efforts of the staff and the excellent breakfast.

The service was good, food was okay, the WiFi was not it. Really bad WiFi. ”

THERE'S ROOM FOR IMPROVEMENT: ROOMS ARE UNINVITING”

1. CAN THE PLACE HAVE A BIT OF COLOUR IN THE ROOMS. THE PATTERNED DARK GREEN COLOUR IS UNWELCOMING AND "COLD". 2. THE BARE CEMENT FLOORS NEED TO BE CARPETED; ONE COULD NOT EVEN WORK BARE FEET ON THE CEMENT. 3. THE ROOMS SHOULD BE CLEANED. WE DECIDED NOT TO USE THE SHELVES FOR PACKING OUR CLOTHES BECAUSE THERE WAS DUST. 4. THE TV SHOULD BE FIXED; THERE WAS ONLY ONE UNCLEAR CHANNEL WORKING. THE RECEPTIONIST TRIED IN VAIN TO HELP. 5. GUESTS SHOULD BE GIVEN KEYS TO ACCESS THE PREMISES AND SHOULD NOT WAIT FOR THE RECEPTIONIST TO OPEN THE GATE FOR THEM. 6. BOILING OF AND MAKING SCRAMBLED EGGS TOOK FOREVER. THE EGGS CAME AFTER WE HAD FINISHED THE OTHER AVAILABLE FOOD. 7. PARKING IN THE STREET WAS ANXIETY CAUSING AS CRIME IS RAMPANT.
