DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOSTEL”
The actual room is totally different from the pics shown in Agoda. Hostel amenities are out of date. Room as well as shared bathroom are tiny. You have to wait for the elevator from the ground floor more than 30mins. On top of this, staff are rude and not helpful at all. DO NOT STAY at this hostel if you don’t want to waste your money and ruin your holiday.
The receptionist is so kind.. She is our Kababayan from philippines.. definitely will recommend your place again.. Totally great.. except for one. minor.. the CR, but she will accomodate you nicely for this one.
Great experience in HK”
The room is very small but we expected that because of the review. No space at all all luggages are placed under the bed. Its cheap and its clean. They have room service everyday change all towels ang bedding everyday. Accessible downstairs theres a mini grocery. But the elevator is very small only 2 for the whole building. Theres a lot of indians in the area and the owner I think is also Indian. Its located in chungking mansion 16th floor. If you see money changer and indians it means you are already in chungking mansion. The exchange rate is very high 8.1 so make sure to bring HK money or withdraw at an atm instead its only 6.8 when i used my bdo atm.. It was fun in HK very disciplined and the mtr is very efficient. You can take A21 bus from the airport going to TST..
Its in the heart of the city”
Clean and decent place
Hong Kong Vacation June 2015”
Everything was okay. The staffs were Filipinas and were very friendly. The rooms were quite small but what would you expect in Hong Kong so for me it's already good! The price was for our stay was relatively cheap and that gave the value for money really good! Free water was provided and it's important since water in HK is expensive. The rooms were also clean.
worth to stay”
I stay 4 night. The room is tiny and daily room service.Towel and toothbrush were provided to the guests.24 Hr reception. This hostel locate in chungking mansion on Nathan road which is the excellent location for shopping, eating etc.Easy access to public transport.I definitely stay here again next visit.
Great location, friendly staff, small room”
We travelled in group of 3 for 5 days in middle of December. We'd booked the triple-bed room but when we came they offered us the family double bed room with same price. The room was daily clean, wifi strong, and hot water was quite good although it's too small (all luggages had to be under the beds). It's the on 16th floor (near reception desk) so we just opened windows and no need to use air-conditoner. The staff very helpful and friendly. They also had microwave, refridge and hot-cold drink right outside the room. The most advantage was location, we only walked 5 minutes to approach MRT, bus station was in front of the hostel, 10 minutes walk to Victoria habour and Avenue of star and museums, shopping mall and store all around. The hostel is suitable for travel in small group or couple on budget, not for family. The unpleasant thing was the elevator too slow and small, it took 10-15 minutes staying in queue to wait.
Transferred to Delta”
We were only informed that we got transferred on the day we arrived, while checking in. Anyways, same owners so no big deal. So this review will be for Delta. 1. Accommodating staff especially Ate Gloria. 24/7 front desk, too. 2. Small rooms but enough space for your luggages under the beds. They clean the rooms everyday, too. There is a pantry where you can place your food in the fridge or reheat your food on the microwave. They have a water dispenser, too, so you can just refill your water bottle everytime you step out. 3. Bathroom has a working water heater, bodywash & tissue. 4. Price is perfect for those travelers on a tight budget and who would rather splurge on food and other stuff. 5. Plenty of places and food to explore right outside Chungking Mansions and very near the MTR and bus stops, too. Would definitely book again if and when I go back to HK.
the worst hotel i have never lived !”
the toilet facility is broken!it will make noise all night long!but the receptionist will not allow you to exchange the room! Be careful the "special price",if you got it, the receptionist will arrange the worst fucking room for you...
Singapore Hostel la”
I was actually moved to stay in another hostel (same owner) but the rooms look the same anyway. Location was GREAT! I can just ride airport bus and get off on the 14th stop and walk back a few meters to the hostel. Also, it was easy to commute as the MTR stations (Tsim Sha Tsui and East Tsim Sha Tsui) are down stairs. I would recommend this hostel for those who travel on budget.
Cheap hostel, good location”
For travellers: I booked for Singapore hostel however the staff/ owner gave me the room in another hostel as they have few hostels in the same building. It was vastly different from what in the pictures advertised on Agoda website, it was old, dirty and small. After I complained, they changed me to the room for actual Singapore Hostel. I was so disappointed as I felt cheated when I got the first room. At least the staff tried to resolve the problem right after my complaints. I just want to let people know what to expect. The second room I got was much better. However you should not expect too much with those hostels. They are small and has very standard facilities. It is located in Chungking Mansion building which is a very old and rundown building, flooded with Indians and west Asians. The MTR is just across the street, so it is very convenient. Closed to the Harbour, shopping centre and restaurants.
location, staff and convinence ”
The location, without doubts is simply the best. The hostel is located in a business complex and there are many of similar type of hostels all around. The hostel is situated at the highest floor of the building. Taking lift to the floor is the only tough thing as there are so many passengers taking lifts at all times of the day! Otherwise, even with the small size of the room, it comes with toilet and shower, good wifi streaming and microwave oven and fridge is situated outside the room so its as good as any hotels! I enjoyed the stay very much thanks.
Very Good Hotel with Good Amenities & Cleanliness”
I have stayed for 12 days during my stay in Hong Kong. The hotel is very good with a good price. Located on 16th Floor in Chung Kin Mansion which is the prime locale in Tsim Sha Tsui, just a minute distance from Metro Rail, Bus Stop and a 5 Minutes walk from Ferry. This Hotel has Good Staff, Rooms are always clean, equipped with 24 Hours Hot Water and Air Conditioner. Try staying in this Hotel for once and you won't stay anywhere else during your stay.
value for money”
Great Location, extremely helpful and accommodating staff (gave us late check out), kept our luggage for us after check out, the free shuttle to and from the Kowloon station (for the airport express) very convenient. TST MTR is at a walking distance.Great value for money.
Small, Convenient Budget Hotel”
Our stay at the hostel was comfortable and enjoyable. Rooms were small and compact, even for family rooms. However it was very convenient, just across the MTR station. Hotel staff was extremely friendly and accommodating to our requests.
Good stay worth the price you pay”
Great location if you don't mind the busy street in front of the hotel and easy access to MTR station and shopping centres. It is located at Nathan Road and you can even see the queue from the hotel entrance for the famous Jenny's bakery for their butter cookies. The staff was very helpful specially the chinese guy at the reception and the housekeeping ladies.
Nice Place and Accomodating Staff”
It was very nice. Most of the front desk staff are Filipina so we felt very safe and secure. Specifically Gloria and Jasmine are really nice and accommodating. They even provided me the best view room which we can actually witnessed A Symphony of Lights from it. We will definitely recommend this to our friends and relatives.
Awesome place to stay for backpack travellers”
I would say the location is superb because everything is at walkable distance. There are a lot of eating joints as well as shopping malls. Even the street markets are 10 mins walk from this place. There is also a Korean food street near this place, so if anyone wants to try Korean dishes at Hong Kong then I would recommend staying here coz its very near to the Korean street. The hostel itself is pretty clean with clean sheets and blankets. They also give you free tooth brush hahaha. They also have a common refrigerator and microwave. The staff was also pretty friendly. I would say its a comfy place to stay.
a clean & value for money budgeted stay”
con: located in the aging complex (in term of fire safety); Long queue to take the elevator; may have power overloading in each room; lack of filtered hot water supply; lack of cloth hanger rack; dusty room fan; no luggage rack(portable, multilayer, wheeled type) pro: good prime location;staffs are very helpful, attentive & flexible; good setup for the room (no carpet no dust; room come with hot shower/toilet; ban cigarette smoking; no cigarette stain on pillow, bed sheet)
Location was great but one cannot expect too much for the price paid. Toilet was tinny. But at least it's not shared toilet. But lots of immigrants selling their wares at entrance of the mansion. Not really suitable for family with young children
