The private room with its own bathroom, a great alternative to regular hotel”
Almost everything is provided as a regular hotel room (towels, shampoo/shower gel, hair blow dryer, even a tv, the kettle is on demand). Well located, in a quiet district (residential), not far from the main train station (public transportation). For the solo room with a privative bathroom, it is a bit more expensive than the dormitory of the hostel, but less than at a regular hotel, but it was so worth it (great sleep there).

Decent price and decent experience”
Pros: -5-10 mins away from the nearest metro station. -the room is clean and the space is quite big. Cons: -you can feel your roommate' movement because the bed shakes. -human power is quite limited on the reception desk. (but staffs are friendly)

Great stay”
The hostel is huge, very new and very clean. I stayed in the 4 bed shared room with ensuite bathroom. bedsheets were provided and were clean, bed was comfortable and the bedroom and bathroom was very clean. There are lockers in the room but you will need to bring your own padlock. There is wifi and free computers with internet access. there is western breakfast served at 5€. The location is really good, the hostel is in a quiet area but really close to the MRT you can also walk 15-20 mins to Alexandre Patz. Friendly staff. I really recommend Singer 109 to anyone traveling to Berlin!

Nice, quiet hostel, good location”
Singer is a nice, quiet place to stay. It doesn't have the typical hostel vibe. It feels much more like a hotel. The lobby is very spacious, open, and sunny with a piano and many computer stations. There is a bar/restaurant nearly always open. We stayed in two different 4-bed dorms/apartments, both with clean, simple, and modern decorations and giant lockers (bring your own lock). The first was very spacious, very clean, and had giant windows overlooking the sports courtyard. We also had a private bathroom (so nice). Maid-service came to clean everyday. The second room was a shared suite with a 6-bed dorm and 4-bed dorm (with an extra unused bunkbed) with a seperate bathroom area with two toilets and two showers. Again, very nice and well-designed. The bathroom became very dirty though and I wondered if maid service cleaned that day or if our suite mates were really THAT messy. I voiced my concern at the front desk. Maid service had left for the day, but we were given an apology and free breakfast, which was greatly appreciated. Breakfast is good (several kinds of wheat bread, white bread, yogurts, cereal, eggs, apples, veggies, cheese, meats, juices, and coffees). Wifi was pretty fast and useable in our rooms. The staff is friendly and helpful and we really loved the location (quiet, yet central to lots of things). The supermarket is open till midnight and literally just a couple of blocks away. There are three different transportation lines within a 5-minute walk also in addition to several cafes and an organic food store up at the roundabout. We ran in the big park about 1 km away every day and we found it easy to walk to places like Alexanderplatz and Friedrichstein for lots of shopping and eating when we didn't feel like taking public transport. We also walked to the Eastside Gallery. Overall, good stay! the awesomest hotel!”
the hotel was so easy to find, clear signs and very close to everywhere at the city centre! it is located in among a few different Metro station, you can easy walk to the hotel. it takes 5-10 minutes walk to Alexanderplatz ...so it is super convenient ! the hotel looks nice inside, very kind and friendly staff. specially, the MD at the hotel often came to take care his customers by himself and he was very sincere !! his name is Markus! the food is also awesome! very yummy and a lot of choices. they have laundry service costs 5 EUR including drying and they do it for us! the room is big neat and clean. the shower is very good! we liked it there a lot ! everything is perfect for us.

Location, facilities and staff were great. Got a quiet night sleep beds were comfortable. there was no fan or ac (which is typical of hostels in Germany) but it was cool during the night (so we had the windows open), I can see how with more people in the room or when it gets warmer it can feel stuffy. Adequate breakfast (5euros) in the morning and happy hour in the evening with a good common area

The hostel was cheap but quite far away from transportation. Also, a man from the front desk was super rude and didn’t know how to do the math and insisted he’s right but it turned out that I was right. Probably just because of me being Asian, I really don’t know why he acted so rude.

Look for another hostel first”
This hostel’s best feature is its atrium—which is only worth so much. - there’s no kitchen and no fridge either, so forget cooking or storing food - the bathroom situation is shabby - mine was shared between two rooms of six (12 total), and showers and toilets (2 of each, and unisex) were in the same place - privacy using the shower is minimal - they're dirty - they're poorly kept: one shower door didn’t close properly, and one sink (of two) had stopped draining - ventilation in rooms was poor: it was really warm (and beginning to smell), and it took a 10-minute discussion with the person at the reception to get our window open just a crack (otherwise it’s locked) - the location isn’t very good, even though it looks good: it’s a 15-minute walk to a U-Bahn station (basically the longest possible in Berlin) and a substantial walk from anything that isn’t residential - on the plus side (a short list), the breakfast is a good deal

If you want a hostel, do not stay here”
It is nothing like a hostel, no kitchen for guest, no plug by the dorm, the shared bathroom is small and it's for both man and woman, the staff is not nice, people come back to sleep around 3-6am after their drinking party. The good part is... the common area (lobby) is big and nice. Everything is clean. I think it may good for those who want to stay in a hotel, but not a good choice as a hostel.

Arrived at the train station and looking for accomodation,there was none close to my price range.Decided that for the first time in many a year i would have to take the only thing going,a hostel.Dreaded the thought on the way there by taxi but from the moment I opened the front door everything became pleasing to the eye and mind and was glad i’d made the decision to stay there,good stakk,good bed,good shower,loved it and many thanks.

Hotel with shared rooms”
The beds are hotel standard with the mattress and sheets. There's not much atmosphere at all, and even in my room it was mainly business travelers, so it's more like a hotel in that sense. There were also bedbugs... (Feb23) I only saw a few, but that's already few too many. They just offered their apologies, and, when I asked for it, a free breakfast. Hopefully they've taken the necessary actions to get rid of them.
