Awesome place to relax”
Really a great experience in this villa. On arrival I felt like home. The room was clean and peaceful just over the fence it was Buddha temple and the 2nd bigest in Sri Lanka. Awesome. Near by 10 minute walk to Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress and a 20-minute Pidurangala Rock. Owner was always available and always going the extra mile. I rely enjoy my time here. If you want a quiet holiday then I highly recommend this place.

The homey feeling!”
Sinhagiri Villa was ouor second stop in our entire 13 day Sri Lanka tour. It was lovely, with really attentive owners and staffs. Ran by a couple, the kids were doing homework/watching TV downstairs so you know you're in safe hands. Having a home-cooked Sri Lankan meal by the balcony while getting kissed by soft breeze was one of the most memorable moment that i truly enjoyed and will remember. Also, it's only a walk away to Sigiriya Rock, making this location ideal for travelers who don't have a private driver. We even managed to spot Sinhagiri's green roof from Sigiriya Rock!

3 night stay in Sinhagiri”
Good location, friendly staff
Good value for money. The hotel is situated within a 10 minute walk from the entrance to Sigiriya Rock. However be aware there isn't much happening at night and we ended up having dinner every night at the hotel. We found the food price to be quite high in comparison to the room price. The husband/wife owners are friendly and always ready to accommodate our needs.

the worst hotel I've ever lived in”
this is the worst hotel I've ever lived in. It is the best place for entomological research, you can see a lot of mosquitos, insects everywhere. It is the best place to feed your dog, the dishes is as good as dog food. It is the best place to miss the ancestor, the apartement is so primitive. If you like live in a Jurassic Period at the expense of 3 star hotel fee, this hotel is the best choice.

Living in the jungle in a fantastic location”
1 km from the Sigiriya rock, Nested in the jungle in the lap of nature, Clean rooms and comfortable stay
We were a group of 6 who really enjoyed our day at Sinhagiri Villa. The staff went out of their way to prepare food for us post 9pm which was over time for them. They provided us good clean rooms which were between 2-3 star level. The location was super close to the rock. All in all, total value for money! Underrated property!

Great family place”
Great host, good food and great location
A family run villa. The hosts are friendly and very helpful. We got lost and they came and picked us up late in the evening! Furthermore they arranged the safari to Mineriya for a very good price. Excellent location for Pidurangla and the lion rock! Thank you!

Friendly stay with loads to discover in the area”
Food, location, big Buddha statue view from the veranda
Helpful staff who knows the area - with them we did a national park tour which wasn't even in our guide book and proved to be very good. Sigiriya Rock can be seen from the veranda and is in 10min walking distance.

Great find”
great atmosphere, comfortable room, good food
I really liked this hotel. It's not real close to anything but the rock. Only about 15 minute walk to there if you need that. It's in a quiet area and the family is very nice. The room and bed was comfortable. Wifi was slow in the room but that's better than most places that don't work at all. The eating area is on a pretty porch. Unfortunately it's open to the outdoors which is nice but the mosquitos are bad. That's the only bad thing I have to say. Wifi is good in the eating area. I would recommend going here.

overpriced and overrated”
friendly staff and proximity to the rock.
I've been traveling for 7 months now and I would say that this place is grossly overpriced for what it purports to be. Unless you have your own transport I wouldn't consider staying here as it's so far out of the way. Therefore if you want an evening meal this is the ONLY place around. They charge three times as much for a chicken curry and rice as a local restaurant.... In theory they have all the day you can get but you must ask for it. So don't expect tea and coffee in your room or available for you to make yourself. There are 4 bikes but only one actually is usable....having only one brake and you have to get off going uphill as the chain slips. Apart from that it's ok! In terms of value for money this is the poorest in the 7 months I've been traveling. I would NOT recommend.

Friendly homestay near the Lion's Rock”
Location, homemade food, feiendly staff
The place has excellent location, just about 10 minutes walk from the main entrance, yet in s very quiet surroundings. The owners prepare excellent food and help you organize trip to Dambulla & Minnerya elephant safari. They also arranged a transfer to Kandy for us, all at very reasonable price. Rooms are quite basic but neat. The outer terrace is extremely enjoyable, either for breakfast in the morning or for sipping your beer in the evening. We really felt like at home here!
