Best Hotel in Manado”
After staying in two other hotels in Manado during our long Manado-Minahasa-Bunaken visit, Sintesa Peninsula was a lovely place to hole-up and indulge in world-class comfort and service. The rooms are spacious, bed was incredibly comfortable, the balconies have amazing views and the bathrooms are large and well-finished. Centrally located atop a hill in the middle of town near the main markets and port. Service was above and beyond. Great trolley service that picked us up from the port and also drove us to places near the hotel. Breakfast was good with a wide variety of choices.

Set the standard in Manado since 2008”
Just recently a hotel or two has opened in Manado that have the potential to surpass Sintesa Peninsula as the premier 5-star hotel within the city. But given its 8+ years in operation, it has a long time to develop the professionalism of its staff. It has the fastest internet of those I have experienced. If you can get a good rate online, it is an excellent value for the money. Given it's age, and by Indonesian standards of wear and maintenance, it is due for a renovation. If it does not get it, some of the newer hotels will likely surpass it.

The Best Hotel in Manado”
Despite several new hotels opening, Sintesa Peninsula remains the best hotel in the city. What sets it apart is that it has been the the top hotel since it opened in late 2008, and has developed a staff and service that leaves the other large 4-5 star hotels behind. It has far and away the fastest internet in the city. Being nearly 9 years old, it is aging by Indonesian standards, and it needs a renovation. You might find some stains in your carpet, or a light bulb out, but the rooms remain clean and clean smelling (without the musty odor found in so many hotels in Indonesia). The breakfast buffet is large, and good by local standards. The location, on a hill accessible only by a winding road, will ensure that it remains the hotel of choice for visiting dignitaries, but it is a slightly longer walk to the ocean front that the new hotels, which are right there. The published rate is quite high, of course, but the online discount makes this hotel easily the best value for anything 4-star and up.

Great location with fantastic view. ”
First impression was very positive. Great location as Sintesa Peninsula locate just right in the heart of Manado city. Very convinient if you are business travellers, but this hotel also suitable for sightseeing or leasure trips. Hotel staff really friendly and helpful. Bedroom size very decent, comfortable and clean. Would be better if they use better materials (ie marble n granite) for bathroom. Overall impression very good. Happy to revisit this hotel in the future.

Great if get a promo and happy stay at hotel”
After a solid week of volunteer work it was great to arrive at the Sintesa in Manado. I only took the room because I got a great Agoda deal and early the next day I needed to fly out. If you need to buy stuff at the malls better at the Aryaduta or Whiz; however, if you just want to unwind and be a bit closer to the airport the Sintesa is great. Also, they made me a breakfast box as I was leaving earlier. I will definitely return if I can get a good promo with Agoda.

a real luxury hotel”
it was an incredible deal to get a superior room for 35 euro in this real 4 stars hotel.It's located in the middle of Manado but in a park ,so it's very quiet. the swimming pool is huge ,the wifi very fast,the breakfast excellent . The room is very well furnished with a huge bathroom.The view from the room is beautiful. So you get a luxury hotel at the price of a backpacker hotel (if you book by internet ,if you check in without a reservation it is 4 times more expensive)

THE hotel in Manado”
For a business traveler, this is THE hotel. I've stayed here for the last 3 trips to Manado. The rooms have great work stations and ergonomic chair, if you don't choose double, bed is king-sized, and bathrooms are huge (though no tub in the standard rooms). Breakfast choice is excellent, and staff attentive. Location is central - close to restaurants and shops. About 15 minutes walk to the sea. Rooms starting to feel dated but this is still my choice for Manado city.

The best hotel in town”
We stay for couple of nights in the superior room. It was brilliant, the room is spacious, with great view over Manado bay where we can capture the picture of several landmarks of the city from balcony. The internet is run quite well compare to any other hotel in Manado, the staffs are helpful and friendly. I highly recommend this hotel for business person.

Nice hotel, great views, good location”
i stayed a couple of nights here and it was pretty good all round. it's one of the best hotels in manado (there are 2 other good ones that people mention, the aston, next door for starters)and rooms are large, comfortable, staff are nice and polite. the breakfast is ok although could do with a little more fruit. i ate dinner here once and although portions are rather small it tasted good and certainly beats texas chicken around the corner. massage is also excellent in the 'spa' above the gym and not too expensive either. the karaoke bar downstairs is not run by the hotel and seems to have an unusual 'ambiance..'

Best hotel at Manado”
It was the third time I went to Manado and found this hotel had it's own class. The hotel was clean, the room was large and WiFi free. The breakfast was okay. Staff were very helpful. The facilities were relatively new and well maintained. Just be aware that this hotel is on top of the hill, so walking is not recommended, you need a vehicle.

hotel has all the amenities for a couple like spa, good restaurant food and nice swimming pool. the view from the hotel room is excellent as it is above a small hill and oversees the entire city of manado. the staff are friendly and courteous. room is very spacious and luxurious and well fitted out too. there is free wireless access at the pool and lobby areas but not in the room.

Business Hotel”
This hotel is located at the central of the town, it is convenient, peaceful and quiet. Not only that, the room is huge with a big writing table in the room, huge TV, free WIFI. It is perfect for the business traveler. I was staying there for 4 nights. My hotel room was located at 10 floor and was facing the mountain and sea, therefore, I could enjoyed the viewing of the nice sunrise and sunset everyday. As I was too tired to explore the town, therefore, most of time I was having my dinner in the hotel. The Hotel restaurant is big, food was good, and the price was reasonable. This hotel has a good size swimming pool, Gym facilities are fully equipped and the the Gym are crowded in the evening. You have to pay for the use of sauna at Rp50,000++ even if you are the hotel guest. and it's located at the 1 st floor Spa area. Besides, the Sauna room is too small, I believe its cater for one user only. Even with this minor problem, I will still stay at this hotel again on my next business trip

5th visit to Manado - all business (unfortunately) - property location of peninsula is fantastic with the majesty of the nearby mountains displaying a great back drop to a relatively tranquil city - with a proud European history. Staff were innocently very helpful & intent on assisting - when asked.

need to improve staff management”
I went for a 9 days trip at manado and bunaken, peninsula is the hotel where I spent my last night and it almost ruined my impression of manado. At first I requested for an adapter and the housekeeping staff speaks poor English through the phone and told me"sorry mdm we don't have that and we hope you can accept it" then she hanged up my call. Even worse, at 7 pm a staff saw me taking the lift going downstairs and he went to my room and flipped over my "do not disturb"tag to "housekeeping" and went into my room. I went back my room after 5 mins and caught him right inside my room! He told me he was doing housekeeping but he has no trolley no towel not even a piece of tissue with him! Obviously he was trying to get some luck from my room. I feedback to housekeeping supervisor and he helped me shift to a new room below the camera but I spent a horrible night with fear because I was travelling alone. Other than that the bed sheet and pillow cases were not very tidy with a bit yellow stain. I had a great vacation at manado and people are so kind there which makes me seriously doubt that how can this kind of security and service standard exist in sintesa peninsula hotel since it's supposed to be "one of the best "in town. Wish they can have a big improvement at housekeeping and at least give customers some safety.

Great experience with real value for money”
Fabulous experience, friendly and somewhat English speaking staff, spacious rooms but slow internet connection during may stay, they said due to a server issue. Anyway really a good place to stay in Manado. They will arrange you tours to Bunakaen, Minahasa, etc.

Good Hotel”
Sintesa Peninsula Hotel placed in the middle of the town, near zero point of Manado. From this hotel you can walk to Calaca bay if you wanna go to Bunaken Island. From the street to the hotel is far so you need to walk up the hill. The breakfast is standard, nothing special I think. Its didn't boost my breakfast mood at all.
