Tidy,Friendly and very good location in Macau”
My husband and two daughters (my family) went to Macau for an overnight stay at this hotel after our 5 nights in Marco Polo Hongkong Hotel.I had been to Macau several years ago and stayed in Hotel Lisboa but I failed to get a room in that hotel in my attempt on line.I scouted for another one and I find Hotel Sintra with very good feedback from the hotel reviews collected on line.True enough to what I have read, it was a lovely hotel with good service with a smile. It is very clean and the room size is just enough. We were given two rooms 418 and 420 facing grand emperor as our view.Free shuttle for the City of Dreams is just infront of this hotel that comes every few minutes to pick up passangers.Senado is just a short walking distance to the ruins of St,Paul.Reasonable priced eateries are just walking distance behind the hotel towards Senado.I will recommend this hotel to my friends who will visit Macau. The front desk, conceirge, hotel restaurant staff and the Filipino guard were so warm and helpful.Thank you Hotel Sintra for our nice Macau experience. Our taxi driver to the airport was very helpful too (taxi bill from Sintra to the airport is 49MOP).Free Shuttle services are provided to and from the ferry.

Value For Money ”
It was our first time in Macau and we stayed at Hotel Sintra for one night. We booked Sintra because of the very good reviews and true enough, it's really a best value for money hotel. Very good location (right at the city centre) and clean, big rooms at a very reasonable rate. We booked through Agoda and got a good deal. We arrived at the hotel very late and the front desk upgraded one of the rooms we got (we booked two rooms), which was good enough. The rooms are big (compared to HK hotels we stayed in the past)and clean. The room we got had a view of the Emperor Hotel. Another plus for the hotel is their very friendly and helpful staff. They really went out of their way to assist us when we asked for directions to how to get to restaurants or sightseeing places. Will definitely book Hotel Sintra next time we go to Macau. We'll make sure to stay longer as well.

Excellent Hotel!”
I loved Sintra Hotel! The location is excellent --very near the tourist attractions like the Senado Square and the Ruins of St. Paul, Casino Lisboa. There is a bus stop a minute away from the hotel, and you can ride the bus to go to the Macau Tower, Fisherman's Wharf and other places. It also provides free shuttle to the Macau Ferry Terminal, where you can hop on the free shuttle service to The Venetian and City of Dreams. Very convenient. The room itself was excellent too, very reminiscent of Shangri-la decor, beds and bath. It provides not only the basic shampoo and soap, but also a shower gel, cotton, q-tips, sewing kit, shaving kit. It also has an LCD TV featuring many English channels (not just Chinese channels). The view outside our room wasnt very nice, but we hardly look out the window anyway. The service was excellent. Everyone from the waitresses at the restaurant, the reception staff, the bellhop and the guards were very helpful and friendly. The guards and the bellhop speak English very well, and they can give you good directions and tips. Two minutes away from the hotel is Margaret's Cafe, serving yummy and cheap sandwiches, great coffee and the best portuguese egg tarts. All in all, it's two thumbs up for Hotel Sintra! If I ever go back to Macau, I will definitely book here again, and will recommend the hotel to all.

Great Hotel in the heart of Macau”
I specifically choose the Sintra Hotel for it's central location near to the historic parts of Macau. I'm not a gambler so casinos were not an important factor in my decision on where to stay. The Sintra hotel is not the newest or most luxurious hotel in Macau but if you're looking for a high quality hotel that won't break the bank and is still centrally located you would be hard pressed to find anything better. Nearly all of the historic spots of Macau are withing an easy walk from this hotel as are some of the classic casinos. And if you're interested to see the "Vegas-style" casinos in Cotai there is a free shuttle to City of Dreams that stops just a few steps outside the entrance of Sintra; it doesn't get anymore convenient than that.

Good Choice Overall”
Stayed here recently in June 2013. Accommodation for 3 star and above hotels in Macau are generally not cheap and so even though Sintra is not half as grand and does not has a casino as most of the other huge casino hotels around Macau, it's very strategically located right in the heart of Macau Peninsula. It's only a 5-10 minutes walk to the famous Senado Square, Ruin's of St Paul, St Dominic's church and Margaret E Nata cafe from the hotel. They do not provide free shuttle bus from the airport, There are also a lot of free shuttle buses to the other casinos in Taipa such as Galaxy and City of Dreams nearby. We arrived the hotel at around 3.15 pm but they told us the room would only be ready in another 40 minutes. Intiailly frustrated by the delay even though it was rightfully after check in time, the staff at Sintra certainly made it up with their friendly and very helpful services. Quite a number of the reception staff, senior manager and bellboys can understand and speak English pretty well and they are very willing in giving directions to nearby attractions. They also answer quickly and promptly to any request we had. The hotel provides free luggage storage for their hotel guests after check out/ before check in time. Rooms are spacious and fairly clean. it is inclusive of wifi as well. Otherwise, wifi are charge at MOP 120 per day. Wifi is fast in the room but need to re log in multiple times. I stayed on the non smoking 7th floor. Very quiet at night too. The tv has about 30 channels to choose from even though most are news channel. Did not try any of the food at their restaurants and cafes though. Overall, pretty happy with our stay and if we want to stay at Macau Peninsula again next time, definitely will come back to Sintra!

A hotel that everybody loves”
My family and I had a wonderful stay at Sintra Hotel. It has a perfect location, various tourist attractions and casinos like Grand Lisboa and Wynn are within walking distance. The rooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The staffs at the front desk and concierge are friendly and helpful. I had no problems with my check in. The free WIFI password was given upon check-in. I would also like to thank the Assistant Manager there who patiently shared with me everything about Macau - the attractions, transportation, things to buy, and most importantly the nice food! :) We loved the free shuttle bus as well! We took the bus from Macau Ferry Terminal to right in front of the hotel. There is also free shuttle bus to City of Dreams (from there you can also walk to the Venetian Macau and the famous street, "guan ye jie"). In conclusion, I highly recommend this hotel to those who are looking for a hotel in Macau with good value for money!

A modestly priced quality Hotel”
I stayed for one night at the Sintra Hotel on a layover in Macau. I was very pleased with the quality and service I received at this hotel. The location is very good for restaurants, sightseeing and recreational activities. I have stayed at other hotels in Macau and all in all I would have to say that the Sintra is the best hotel in Macau at this price point. I slept peacefully and comfortably here. The room was a little small, but it was decorated nicely. The bathroom was spotless and modern. I would stay here again.

Macau Experience”
we stayed at Sintra Hotel for 1 night only, but we had a very memorable time at Macau...wished we could have stayed there for a longer time...the hotel is very accessible to public transport, to the central district (Largo de Senado and some other attractions), casinos, ferry terminal...since the people of Macau do not know how to speak English, be sure to carry with you the address of the hotel just in case you get lost...the hotel staff are very accommodating and friendly...i will definitely stay again at Sintra Hotel the next time I visit Macau...you will get your money's worth for your stay at Sintra

Great Experience! ”
My husband and I stayed in another hotel the night before we stayed here in Sintra so we couldn't help but compare. I'd better not mention the other hotel as it is also good... It's just that Sintra is a lot better! :) We are planning to go back to Macau with our family and will definitely choose Sintra. Just hoping there are available rooms for us as this hotel is so famous and fully-booked most of the time. We like the provisions this hotel has... Sintra Hotel is one of the reasons why our first trip in Macau was sooo memorable! Thanks a lot! ^^

My Sintra Experience”
My stay at Sintra Hotel was a great experience. I loved the location as it was close to everything especially Senado Square which I loved going back to every evening (in the duration of my three nights, four days stay). There's a bus station, money changer, 7/11 store just around the corner which was very convenient to tourists like me. The employees at Sintra were all helpful and accommodating. They were quick to give me a new room when the safe inside my room proved to be defective and they even gave me a room with better view. The sheets were crisp, clean smelling and very comfortable which was what I needed after a long day's walk. I had a very restful night every night, and every morning I had renewed energy to tackle whatever amount of walking I was to embark on to tour Macau on foot. I'll definitely be going back to Sintra Hotel on my next visit.

Hotel Sintra”
Location of Hotel Sintra is perfect for tourists. It's in the middle of everything -- casinos like Grand Lisboa, Wynn and MGM on one side; and tourist spots like St. Paul's Ruins and Senado Square on the other. All accessible by foot. Surroundings is totally safe, as we were casino-hopping up to around 4am! The ladies in the reception counter were very nice. Check-in and check-out was quick. I added a note when I booked here we will be checking in at around 10pm, and that I prefer a king-sized bed on a non-smoking floor. All of which, were granted to me. Room was very clean, complete with amenities. View was not so nice, though, because our window was facing the backside of other buildings. The bed was big enough for my husband and myself (considering we're big people). There were only 2 pillows though -- and a bit on the thin side. Bathrooom was complete with basic toiletries. It was just difficult to get the preferred temperature for the shower -- it was either too hot or too cold. All in all, I am happy with my stay in Hotel Sintra and will definitely consider when I go back to Macau.

Sintra Hotel - Best Budget Hotel In Macau”
I was apprehensive when we first arrived and saw the hotel reception -small. However, the courteous English speaking bell boys quickly dispersed all my fears as I thought, I wouldnt be staying in the lobby anyway. When I saw the room - I knew I we would be comfortable and enjoy our stay in the hotel. First the rooms and double beds are big considering the room cost. The hotel is perfectly located - near restaurants and the other big casinos. And compared to the other big hotels with casinos, rooms in Sintra does not have tobacco smell (at least our rooms). The rooms are clean and complete with all amenities. I booked two double rooms for our stay. Check-in and out was very fast and hassle free. Surely, I will stay in this hotel again when I return to Macau. Thanks Sintra and thanks Agoda!

Great Location and nice clean rooms”
We 8 person went Macau from 1st Feb to 5th Feb 2012 and stay at Sintra Hotel, we found this hotel although the front counter is not big and grand but the rooms feel comfortable but then the lift just two nos i feel some inconvienance when peak hours espically morning and check out time, we feel the waiting the lift a bit long time, overall we feel satisfied and good. Highlight : 1)The bell boys is good service and good manner. 2)When come to crowd check in or out, the front counter service staff's no so good manner they just concern their work but igorned surrounding need from customer. Important Highlight : 3)One mid-night we back from casino we accidently pick up a lost passport and we don't what to do and so pass this passport to the hotel counter staff hope that hotel can help to slove this problem but unfortunately hotel staff trying to help call to the head of incharge but the manager just told their staff to igorne and push back this matter to us to handle and ask us just pass to any policeman passby or just put back the lost place , they said they don't want incharge and invloved all these matter even we ask them help to call police but they also won't help. This way of treatment in your country is really made us had a very deep disappointed even we are a out-country we also will help to find and settled this because we know very well that the lost person will feel worry and many problem went lost of passport and also if bad people feel it then it make more worst things may happen. So no choice but we use our H/P to call police and at this time there is polcie car stop infront of the hotel and we quickly bring this passport to the ploiceman and so good lucky that the lost passport lady and her 2 friends was passby searching up and down so at least we pass the passport to her and at that movement our heart feel set down.

Great Hotel”
Convenient for all travelers. It is in the shopping district a few blocks south of the historic district (a UNESCO world heritage site), and a few blocks north of the Gran Lisboa and Wynn casinos. The free shuttle buses to the new mega-casinos (Venetian and others in the Co-Tai area a few miles south) stops right in front of the Sintra hotel. I am not a gambler, but I used the shuttles often for access to the stores and entertainment in Co-Tai. To go farther afield (Coloane town or southern beaches, for example), the local buses cost only one USD (in local currency) each way. Room rates are lowest at the beginning of the week, and my room at the Sintra cost only 90 USD per night including all taxes for an upgraded (at no extra cost) single with king bed from Sunday through Wednesday. A comparable room in Hong Kong would have cost almost twice as much. The one caveat when visiting Macau is to avoid arriving by ferry early on a Sunday morning because the passport control lines can very very long (thousands of mainlanders spend the day there). Fortunately I qualified for the senior/disabled line, which took only minutes instead of hours. My room was across the street from the flashing lights of the Grand Emperor, but this was not a problem because of very good room darkening shades.

Location is Sintra Hotel's biggest shinning point”
The Sintra Hotel's location is so awesome that makes it so convenient for me to travel in almost every corner in Macau. Of course it should also attribute to Macau's small area. Across from Grand Emperor Hotel, located next to Macau Centre Square, Sintra Hotel also has shuttle buses to Macau Tower; what's more, the Grand Emperor Hotel which is located across from Sintra Hotel also has shuttle buses to Taipa Island. Because Sintra Hotel is only ten-minutes-walking from Senado Square, Ruins of St.Paul's and Shouxin Street----a street that sells local food and souvenir, the two shuttle buses I mentioned above almost contains the other tourist routes. Also, the service staff at Sintra Hotel is also indeed thoroughly patient and considerate. Because there was something wrong with the wifi we bought I contacted the front desk four times for help at TWO o'clock in the midnight but they were always so sweet and considerate that I even felt a little guilty for bothering them so late for so many times.

Nice hotel with excellent service”
The staff of the Sintra Hotel was, without exception, friendly, helpful and efficient. My room was spacious, immaculately clean, and the bed very comfortable. The on-site restaurant has an excellent, reasonably priced breakfast buffet, offering a wide variety of fruits, juices, eggs, meats, and even freshly cooked pancakes for a total cost of approximately $13.00 USD. My only complaint was that the plate of the electric socket under the writing desk was out of alignment with the actual socket holes, so when, on my last night there, my laptop battery died, I was unable to connect to plug my computer in to use it. At check out the next morning I made them aware of the problem and they assured me it would be fixed. I would not hesitate to stay in this hotel again when visiting Macau.

Best hotel in Macau”
staying at sintra hotel in macau is a very good experience. everytime i go to macau for business or pleasure, i choose the location of my hotel and i find it at sintra. the food at the resturant is also super good especially the dimsum lunch, and the price is reasonable. it is near the yaohan department store and walking distance to senado square. we just walked to the catholic church to hear mass and do some shopping at nearby stores. if casino is what you're looking for, it's just steps away to grand emperor and lisboa.

Fantastic location, near about everything”
sintra is very centrally located. it is near to about all the tourist related places and strategic in getting to many of these places also. hotel staff is friendly and helpful. check-in and check-out was effortless. the concierge got us a taxi within minutes and in slightly over 10 minutes we were already at the airport. sintra is within 5 minutes to senado square and just 10 minutes to st paul's. margaret's cafe e nata's, famed for its portuguese style egg tarts, is just some 300 meters away. the grand lisboa and liaboa are just around the corner with wynn and mgm just across from lisboa. a 7-eleven is located conveniently on the street just behind the sintra. need a quick bite, a food court is located upstairs at macau square, a commercial building just adjacent to sintra.
