The views were to die for! The service and treatment from the moment you check-in right until you are departing from your airport was just marvelous. And a very special thanks to Summer for making our stay so perfect. Will definitely come back next year.
Dear Shekh, Thank you for choosing us to be part of your recent trip to Samui. We are so delighted to hear that you enjoyed the overall experience with us, especially with the service from your GEM, Summer. Once again, thank you for visiting Six Senses Samui. We hope to have another opportunity to welcoming you back to our resort soon! Best regards, Alice Personal Assistant to General Manager and Marketing Communications Manager
Having previously stayed at Six Senses in Yao Noi, I was looking forward to visiting Six senses Samui however we were disappointed with our 3 night stay. We booked an Ocean Front Pool Villa however it really lacked the wow factor especially the self-proclaimed infinity pool which in no way felt like it merged into the sea as it had an abundance of green and dead brown bush viewable. This could be cut back or tided up to make the view meet expectations. It was very clear by the amount of mosquitoes in the room on arrival that the room had not been sprayed recently and having since read other guests reviews the resort really does have a bad mosquito problem. I spent the best part of an hour killing mosquitoes however during the first night we were still bitten badly. After we complained the room was sprayed and the amount of mosquitoes dramatically reduced in the room. This should have been done properly before arrival in the first place. My partner then went to have a hot bath and after
Shang Re La”
We did not want to leave after a five night stay; simply put, the hotel is sited on a perfect location with views out to sea and lush gardens filled with song birds and butterflies. Their attention to guests along with the serenity of the property is remarkable, the duplex 1400' open space terrific. We left to explore for an afternoon and night out which gave us pause to ask, why leave? Don't blink about staying here.
Dear David, Thank you for taking the time to share your kind comment on this forum. We are delighted to hear that you enjoyed the overall experience while with us. Once again, thank you for choosing Six Senses Samui and we hope to have another opportunity to welcome you back to our resort in the not too distant future. Place is a bit overrated. We were expecting 5 star service and healthy food and activity options. Service was mediocre at best and the healthy theme seems to be a gimmick. We did get to do yoga but we're completely Eaten alive by mosquitoes. We didn't get a welcome drink on arrival and our so called GEM was busy with other guests. Golf cart did come on request and very fast. Also love they don't use plastic bottles. Room was OK well maintained. Soft bed. . Not good for anyone disabled as lots stairs. Pool is downstairs and not really private as you can see your neighbour's. Won't go back.
All about relaxation ”
Six Senses is always the best I think. Staff is attentive and very detailed. Food is always great; both authentic Thai and international. No need to go anywhere but just spending time in your room - reading, swimming, sipping wine. I do not hesitate to go back again soon.
Paradise in Samui”
stayed in the hideaway villa before upgrading to the pool villa. this villa is as nice as the pool villas, you can choose to face different sides of the island so you can view sunrise in the morning or sunset in the evening!
A Perfect 10!”
I spent seven nights/eight days at Six Senses Samui, and it was fantastic. Yes, it's expensive. But in so many ways, you get what you pay for. These folks have considered every detail. The place is beautifully designed. The main pool is gorgeous. The common spaces - arrival area, library, bar and dining areas, spa and workout space - are all interconnected by decks and ramps. There's not a protruding pipe that hasn't been screened, or a path that hasn't been carefully maintained. Everywhere you look, there's eye candy. There's a beautifully laid out deck and bar by the beach. And all the people working at Six Senses, from the pool attendants to the cleaning folks to the personal butlers, are outstanding. The rooms, too, are exceptional. They're roomy, with amazing views, and beyond comfortable beds. It's not a marble-and-glass kind of experience. The materials are relatively earthy. What makes it first class is the space, the layout, the people. It is barefoot elegance at its best.
Great Hotel, Great Service, Perfect Location”
if you are the type of holiday seeker that would like to get away from your busy lifestyle and just relax, this is the perfect hotel for you. each villa is setup in a way where you can hardly see any other visitors around except during meals. located 15-20mins away from all the main beaches, it's perfect if you want to go out for the night for some fun and action.
We came here early november for 4 days and had a wonderful time for our 1 year anniversary. You are greeted with welcome drinks and driven to our ocean view villa in a buggy. The room was huge and aircondition worked veey well. Only thing was there were alot of mosquitoes. To prevent bites they provide mosquito net over bed, insect repellant, and incense. The service was amazing and staff were hospitable. The breakfast was great and had alot of juice variety. The menu for entrees slightly change each day. There is a private beach with water sports and snorkel rental. We did not go as much due to raining half the time. The resort is not near to chaweng with is around 25 min by taxi. You can use their shuttle service about 10$ usd or taxi via grab for about 15$. Getting around is expensive not many tuk tuks but you can take a red taxi. The hotel provides shuttle service 500 baht per person to chaweng or fishermans village. Overall we recommend this place. Thank you Jo! Our GEM
Dear Jacqueline, Thank you for sharing your valuable feedback on this forum. We are glad to hear that you enjoyed the overall experience with us, especially with the service from your GEM, Jo. Thank you also for mentioning about mosquitoes, in which we try our best to prevent this issue by providing a few pampering stuff in the villa, as well as a daily fogging around the resort. Once again, thank you for taking the time to share your comments, along with visiting Six Senses Samui. Yours sincerely, Alice Personal Assistant to General Manager and Marketing Communications Manager
Can't believe this is Six Senses”
This is our second time staying at this hotel after 2 years. I suspect they might have changed management team. Everything is so different. But what really ticked me off was that my sister came with her 10 mo baby and after the first night staying at her Villa, she discovered that there was a piece of broken glass stuck on her baby's face. We alerted the staff at the front desk before we went out for the day, and they acted as if nothing serious happened. They didn't even tell us they would send someone to check the room just to make sure same thing won't happened again. Poor service indeed.
Not recommended at all for old people.. you need to use the stairs to go everywhere in the resort .. even to your own villa .. we went down to the beach and second day we couldn’t move because of our muscles pain !! No activities in the resort and the food wasn’t good too.
The facilities & breakfast are not meeting to Six Senses’ Standard ”
Staff still attentive Food is overpriced

Relaxing retreat but quite pricey”
The resort is located in a beautiful setting. The facilities were really good. The pool was fantastic and views spectacular. The villas are okay. They don't feel as private as they should be. Dining on the cliff was gorgeous but you have to go before 7pm. We had dinner at 7pm and it was so dark that it was hard to appreciate what we were eating. We went back the next day at 5pm for drinks and we're amazed by the view. Food was also good, leaning towards the healthier side. I'd recommend Six Senses if you have the disposable income to spend because you should be prepared to fork out $$.
Six Senses are Sustainable resort properties that are worth checking out. They have their own organic farm, zero food waste, and lots of other nice features. The service was excluent and our GEM (Butler) was wonderful.
The most beautiful and tropical resort that we have experienced. The views are unbeatable, the food incredible, and attention to detail sublime. Honestly I found it hard to fault. It ticks all the boxes, and a great combination of beach and beautiful pool. Fantastic in every way.
Dear Alice, Thank you for staying with us. We are sincerely pleased to hear that you enjoyed the overall experiences, highlights being amazing view, incredible food, and our attention to details. The team and I do hope to have another opportunity to welcoming you back to paradise on earth... With warm regards, Alice Public Relations Manager
Lovely, but know what you're buying”
The service is outstanding, the villas are lovely. If you're looking for a place to get away from it all, then this is it. It's very far from everything and extremely quiet. There are very few activities arranged by the hotel and the general atmosphere is extremely calm (no music at the truly lovely pool or in the restaurants)....except for the sometimes very noisy cicadas. The quality of the food is good, again with excellent service. The price is high, though they do have a 2 for 1 happy hour. Though we enjoyed our stay, we found it, in the end, somewhat dull. We stayed 6 nights and I think 3 would have been better with the other three at a more lively location. I do have to say that I was very happy to get away from the extreme heat an humidity! Though, obviously, this was not the fault of the hotel.
The buffet breakfast have 'a la carte' main course menu which is nice & won't waste the food. The hotel staffs customer care very high level, we park the motor bike at car park when it's raining and they already drive the golf buggy to pick us to our villa, on the way to villa the staff stop by reception for the umbrella which is very sweet & touching! 'Dinning on the Rocks' food is OK, but we need to wait for long long time for food. The SPA is excellent!!
The Six Senses Samui hotel was outstanding: our villa was beautiful, great design, very functional with fantastic pool & seating areas. The staff was extremely friendly, helpful and very well trained. The spa & massage was superb and the lessons in the morning (thai chi; yoga) provided an opportunity to start the day well balanced. The quality of the food was very high and we specially appreciated the variety of healthy (and delicious!) dishes & drinks. All in all a fantastic place!
Don't go out”
The six senses is the perfect chill out resort. It is hard to find fault. The staff can't do enough. Food is of a high standard so there is no need to venture out as we discovered. If you do go out, go at night so you can't see the mess they have made of the island. Would go back if it wasn't for the surroundings.
