Private & clean black beach with romantic sunset view directly from hotel. Room is spacious and modern, with a luxurious feel. Breakfast is abit limited but can tell that the food is of good quality. My only regret is only staying for 1 night. I’ll definitely recommend this hotel and please stay at least 2 nights!

One of the staff members (the one who is bald) has the best attitude and services. He is also very polite. The view from the hotel is fantastic and the breakfast is tasty. Some items at breakfast bars are hand-made and they ran out fast on Saturday morning (e.g. croissant). There were less breakfast items on Saturday mornings than Friday morning.

Staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Location is good to get to Cijin. Nice comfy spacious rooms with lots of natural light. A couple of setbacks - we checked into a room with a broken sink pipe (staff fixed it immediately), and there were a few strands of long hair on the shower wall.

Great for retired folks!We thought we would be able to swim, but the sign said no. Local state surf in the morning, with flotation devices. Staff were very kind when we said we wanted to cancel our reservation. Not the best place for young people.

Unusually strict about their check-in and check-out timings. They even have an early check-out regulations for weekends. When you reach there after a long flight and you can see that the hotel is empty; they could at least release the rooms for check-in an hour early than their stipulated 3pm check-in time.

I had a great time, I booked the ocean view room,but got mountain view instead, when I complain to manager Leo, he agreed to give me discount for my dinner party, It turned out into a win win situation,because I changed my party location from 旗津 to 西子灣會館中餐廳，我的親人吃了一頓很開心又好吃的晚餐，留下很美好的印像，Sunset Beach Resort also got extra business.

Quiet Location”
Our room was nicer-sized and the bed more comfortable than the other 3 hotels we stayed at in Taiwan on this trip. The hotel is not in the main traffic area, so some walking or taxi rides were neccessary. But the quietness of the out-of-the-way location and the beach/sunset view made it worthwhile. Breakfast was simple and good, though not a buffet. There is no exercise room or pool.

we knew about this little hotel inside the university campus a long time ago but never really gave it a thought of checking it out. Not until recently that we chance upon a tourism brochure that featured the hotel. what we liked about the place is that its a beachfront area, something that you don't get in Kaohsiung City, unless you drive 2-3 hrs to Kenting. However, much to our dismay, we weren't able to take advantage of the beach since it was raining when we arrived and that the weather was quite cold. Aside from that, the hotel does not have an exclusive beach area. The beach in front of the hotel connects or is part of the public beach and is not exclusive to hotel guests. the hotel is not really that old, but probably maintenance had been slower than before. In fact, it may have been used to be a very grand resort/hotel before, but maybe due to its dwindling guests, it has seen its glory days. the hotel must be owned by the university and probably managed by OJT students, we are not sure. but we believe its on a new management because at the main entrance of the hotel it bears a different name, Seas Bay Beach Resort. but whatever the name is, our stay was so nice. the staff are attentive and accommodating (maybe because we were just a handful of guests that time, he he he). the food in their restaurant was also good ( we were the only guest that evening!). the room was also nice. we got the one facing the sea. we had complimentary fruits in the room which was a big thumbs up! the room also have a small ref, an electric water pot and complimentary sachets of coffee and tea. the bathroom has the usual complimentary toiletry stuff plus Muguet D'Ogive collection. the breakfast is set meal and not buffet like in other bigger hotels, but it was so ok because the food was perfect and just enough (no need to be a glutton over buffet food!) we just don't know what is the scenario of the place during summer or during the vacation period of students, but if you pre

A nice day at the beach, in the city ”
It is a great place, convenient, and at the beach. The port is next door, so seeing some container ships is a part of the journey, but if you are coming to Kaohsiung, and only have a day for the nature, come here!

Lovely quaint hotel by the sea!”
We stayed here for 4 nights in May,the hotel shares its location with NSY university and there was a lot of traffic noise from students on mopeds and scooters ,however it has great views of the sea and a pier walk,there is a tunnel which links with the town and MTR system .There is no pool here and the beach has volcanic sand ,but the staff are great and realy make the place .

It's a very good beach location, and beautiful scenery, particular with its sunset scenery. but hotel itself, has no elevator going to upper level. We have to step by step carrying our luggage upstairs by ourselves without any help from hotel staff member. and telephone from room, it limits to 3min for each phone call from room.
