    Best place to stay in Methven ”

    We stayed in the 1 bedroom studio and found it very spacious for us and our toddler. The room was very clean and awesome heating... went in winter and found it very cosy. Very prompt checkin process and was nice to see that the portacot was all set up in our room. The restaurant in the lodge is definitely the best in town and good priced for the quality The bus stop to mt Hutt is just across the road and it’s the last stop to the mountain. We would definitely stay in ski time lodge again!!

    On arrival we were greeted by a lovely, friendly woman. Loved the breakfast”

    The included continental breakfast was great, lots of selection oh and the homemade jams were delicious. The restaurant was lovely, the roaring fireplace made it so cozy and the lounge/games room was a great area. She also made delicious hot toddys. Thanks for a lovely stay. Will definately be back next time we're in Methven.

    Well run and comfortable accommodation”

    I had a great stay here. The place is very relaxed (in the summer) and has everything you need for a comfortable stay including a nice lounge area to relax in. Also the comfiest bed I’ve had in my few weeks visiting New Zealand so far! The staff and owners were great and helped me out with anything I needed including offering advice for local activities, places to hike, visit etc. Breakfast was brilliant too, as was the meal I had from the restaurant. The Wifi was reliable for me also. Would definitely return if passing through Methven again. Thanks.

    Comfortable stay at Ski Time Lodge”

    Friendliness of staff, location, large room

    We stayed 3 nights at Ski Time Lodge. Our room was large and clean, and the shower and heater worked fine. Breakfast was simple (but adequate) fare - cereal, yoghurt, toast etc. There is a restaurant at the lodge but we didn't eat there. The lodge is a leisurely 10 minute walk to the centre of Methven. The ski bus to and from Mt Hutt picks up passengers from right in front of the lodge. Overall a comfortable stay.

    Absolutely fabulous”

    We were fortunately up graded to a two bedroom apartment and just loved the place. It was modern well appointed, greatly set out, clean and very warm with great heating options. I just can't recommend it enough. While a substantial upgrade these premises made us question our original choice and we would consider this to be worth the full price. Thanks to Ski Time

    Nice and cosy, after upgrade”

    My friend and I booked the standard room and were shocked to realise upon checking in that there was no TV in the room! I immediately asked for an upgrade and the staff who attended to us was extremely nice and accommodating. The upgraded room is way nicer and comfortable, clean and of course it comes with a TV! The channels selection is limited though but it beats having nothing. The room also comes with a fantastic view of the mountains at the porch. Location wise, it's one of the nearest to Mt Hutt which was our next destination. Wifi is free for 1MB per pax but the connection is a little tricky. Complimentary breakfast is provided for all guests. For those thinking of taking the bus to Mt Hutt, the pick up pt is right outside the lodge, super convenient.

    A fantastic find from our perspective. Probably the best motel/lodge accomodation we have stayed in.”

    If you are traveling between Christchurch, Ashburton, Timaru, Dunedin, Queenstown, Wanaka or Invercargill you are unlikely to find better accomodation, so diverting to Methvin is well worthwhile.
