Good value in an underappreciated location”
This is a go-to hotel for me when looking for value in NYC. Manhattan hotel prices can be insane, not to mention that many of the hotels are in touristy areas with less character. The Skyline is right in Hell's Kitchen and is almost always reasonable in cost. It's quiet, the staff is professional and efficient, and the area is a little less crazy than midtown, Times Square, etc. There are some great restaurants within a few blocks also. The rooms themselves are nicely-sized, not the more customary postage-stamp sized rooms in some areas, and are always clean (kudos to the housekeeping staff!) It also benefits from its west-side location, making subway travel a little easier, especially to either downtown or the upper-west side. There's a garage attached, which I've never used, but prices look reasonable by Manhattan standards (just over $40/day) and it would be easy to get in & out of as 10th is a bit less busy than some of the other Avenues.

Great hotel, very central and felt safe walking outside, hotel was very clean, bedrooms were excellent, we had an evening meal in the restaurants the food was really nice. The staff were all very helpful. The Skyline is not expensive, we difinatley got value for money. In fact we are going back to New York next Dec and will stay here again

A Pleasant Surprise”
For the price I was expecting a mediocre, but clean room. The Skyline Hotel had a nice size updated room with comfortable beds. Even though we were on the 2nd floor, the street noise was hardly noticeable. The bath was a little small, but the sink was separate and we made do. The indoor pool was clean and had a lifeguard. This little gem of a hotel will be my choice on my next trip to NY.

Was impressed”
After reading some of the reviews, I was a little concerned and didn't know what to expect. I didn't expect a whole lot because it was the cheapest I could find for as close as it was to Times Square. When we walked in, I was instantly impressed. The lobby was beautiful and smelled very good. The staff was very friendly and took our bags and locked them up so we could go explore while we were waiting for check in. When we got to the room, it was spacious, and very clean. And I'm really picky about rooms being clean. There was a refrigerator and a tv. No coffee maker but I didn't mind. The view wasn't great but I didn't expect a great view. They charged for WiFi which was annoying and that's one thing that I would complain about. Overall I was very impressed with Skyline. Of I were to to to NYC again, I would definitely stay there.

Excellent experience!”
We stayed for 2 nights for the NYC marathon. The room was clean and updated, exactly what we needed. The parking was a great value at $10 per day. The staff was friendly and helpful; we even tried room service from the bar/restaurant (Meemo's) and it was delicious & reasonably priced. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a good location in Midtown NYC!

Will definitely return when visiting NY again. ”
Great location 2 blocks from station. Lovely to swim in top floor pool looking at Ny skyline. Friendly staff. Free coffee/ tea in morning in lobby. Comfortable beds. Bath and shower. Few points- need shower cream/gel not soap and don't think they should charge for stored luggage on day of departure. However would definitely recommend.

Good value and location!”
We had a really pleasant 2-weeks stay at the Skyline hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful, and it was clean and tidy. The room we had deserved its three stars. Nothing fancy but the beds were OK as well as the bathroom, and the fridge served us well although we'd miss a kettle hadn't we brought one with us. The location was perfect for us, with lots of good restaurants in different price ranges very close. The kids (2.5 and 5 yrs old) loved the pool almost more than the city! Overall its a good choice imho. The standard is average rather than luxurious but we looked for good value at a good location and we gotit plus some. If they would've served breakfast it would be near perfect in what we were looking for. Would love to come back!

good pricing for a suite close to Time Square ”
I enjoyed walking each day to my room because of the freshness smell and cleanliness the hotel portrayed especially in New York for a suitable price for a suit at close proximity to Times Square

New York on a budget”
I travelled with my teenage daughters and the Skyline Hotel was perfect for what I needed. We wanted the location to be close enough to Times Square and all the other amazing sites and it was. We wanted to feel safe and we did. We wanted a standard, clean and comfortable hotel and it was. The only thing it lacked is any breakfast facilities in the room like a toaster or a kettle.

Easy Access”
We had a very pleasant stay at the Skyline Hotel. The subway was 2 blocks away, making it easy enough for a 6 year old to walk to. Times Square was 3 blocks from the hotel There was a convenience store and several resturants in the next block. The rooms were large enough for the 4 of us to move around in and the seperate area for wash up and makeup was a real help. It helped with the sharing of the bathroom.

Great hotel for the price”
Had a very nice stay at the Skyline Hotel. It's in a good location. Not too far from everything. Can easily walk, unless you're with little kids like we had. then you jump into a cab for less than a mile. Hotel was clean. We had no issues on our stay.

Hidden gem!”
To a first time New York traveler, it was better than anything I could expect! The rooms were big, comfy beds, and clean atmosphere. Only down thing was the tiny shower, but I made it work! Optimal location to everything we needed to see! Such a friendly atmosphere and great people working there.

Great choice”
Skyline was perfect for us - super clean, a good sized room (a Junior suite meant that our son had a room to himself effectively on the sofa bed in the 'annex'), and a great location. The A and C lines (the closest subway) seemed to be incredibly useful and it's only a 10 min walk to Times Square/ Broadway etc. The only downside was the lack of a bar area. There were a few places to sit in the lobby but it wasn't conducive to sitting playing cards etc after an evening out. Would have been good. We would definitely recommend it though.

Value for money, great location.”
Stayed here for 9 nights with my partner. It was very enjoyable, comfortable and clean big room. Staff were polite and helpful from the moment we arrived. My partner enjoyed her swims in the pool, and we both enjoyed meals in the adjoining restaurant/bar. The added bonus of the Skyline was the location. Within a 10 minute walk in any direction, you could be in Time Square, Central Park, visiting the Intrepid, riding one of the many Hudson boat trips or travelling the subway.

Skyline ”
great location, really were easily able to access all things we wanted to go to; shows, main sights, open top bus stops, shops, places to eat, staff were friendly and helpful, pool was lovely and warm, can't think of anything bad - we asked for a differnt room and got it straight away no bother - was funny to see the place decorated for halloween - funny signs on the skeleton, all friendly - can't think of a real negative - thanks to Skyline for a great stay

Great value, friendly staff, large rooms”
Rooms are a normal hotel size - not a mirco room like you can get in the city. Our room fit a king bed, sofa, desk and had plenty room to move! Clean, updated bathroom, great views and right in the middle off the city Lincoln tunnel. Hotel is on the outskirts of the theater district so very convenient if you’re there for a show. A bit of a hike to the 1 Line but not a big deal as you get to traverse across the outer lying Time Square area. Staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was next to the hotel and was $10 a day with our stay. HUGE VALUE.

This hotel is a gem”
The rooms are large and luxurious for NYC standards and at a fantastic price. I love this hotel and have stayed here on all of my NYC trips since 2005. The neighbour is wonderful. It’s local to everything but has the peace and tranquility every tourist needs after a hard days sightseeing. It’s located on 49th st /10th ave and is only a 5 minute walk to lots of excellent local eateries like Otto’s Tacos, Churrascaria Platforma, The Meatball Place and close enough to Times Square for Shake Shack, Red Lobster, Hard Rock Cafe, Planet Hollywood, Olive Garden, Ruby Tuesday’s, Juniors (best cheesecake hands down!) and so on. Plenty of access to subways. We got the air train and the E from Jamaica and arrived into 50th street just a block or so away. The staff are really helpful and friendly too creating a lovey atmosphere in the foyer. If you stay here, I’m sure you will love it too!
