Good Hotel for tourist area”
Skyy Hotel is close to Sukhumvit. Next door to a hospital. The lobby on second floor. Nice restaurant in lobby. First floor garage has a reception attendant and the elevator. Laundry drop off available in first floor garage. The hotel is very quiet as it's off the main road by a few hundred yards. Street vendors sell pretty good Thai food across the street for all three meals for a few dollars if your wish to try. The Skyy hotel is very close to public transportation and for a dollar or two if you want to see the Temples and Grand Palace.
Skyy Hotel review”
The Skyy Hotel, Sukhumvit Soi 1, Bangkok is in a central location, yet is quite and 10 minutes walk from BTS rail station. Staff service and food quality is outstanding. Room is fairly small, but shower is perfect. Room has many mirrors and indirect lighting for effect. Some rooms have a balcony but cannot use because access is closed.
Great location for Bumbungrad patients”
My wife and I stayed at the Skyy Hotel when she had surgery at nearby Bumrungrad Hospital. It was an easy 5 minute walk to the hospital, so close that when my wife was discharged from the hospital the porter simply pushed her all the way to the hotel room in a wheelchair. The entire staff was friendly and helpful and spoke at least a little English, enough that communicating was not a problem. My wife had ice-packs to use to prevent swelling but the room only had a small mini-fridge. The hotel put the ice-packs in the restaurant freezer for us and would retrieve them any time we wanted. Due to my wife's lack of mobility after surgery we utilized room service often and were always pleased with the food and service. Our housekeeper was friendly, fast and efficient. Room had a hot-pot with a selection of coffee, tea and condiments. TV was a big flat-screen with inputs for all your electronic gadgets. The only drawback was a lack of storage space for an extended stay. Overall a very nice experience.
Great hotel. Value for money”
I have been staying at skyy hotel many times. I go to bangkok a few times a year and stayed at this hotel almost always because it was so close to bumrungrad. And the hotel is clean, rooms are pretty big and the price is cheap compared to the standard of what you get in other hotels. My only complain is the wifi in the room got disconnected quite often and very slow.
good quality hotel at a very reasonable price”
i only stayed at this hotel one night as my previous place could not extend my stay due to being fully booked. needless to say, i was not disappointed. for the night i stayed i was very happy with the service of the staff and the quality of the hotel room. everything you need is there and any extras such as iron is delivered quickly. thank you skyy hotel for making my list night in bangkok great. i look forward to returning very soon.
This was our third stay at the Skyy Hotel. We keep going there as we have looked at other hotels near the hospital and we think this is the best one in it's price range. The staff is helpful, friendly and the rooms are always very clean and quiet. We will stay again there when we go to Bangkok.
I have stayed at Skyy Hotel four times now and I love it. It's a fabulous hotel with wonderful staff and amenities, and is very peaceful & quiet. It is next door to Bumrungrad Hospital which is great for those of us who need Hospital care, and it's close to the most amazing shopping centres where you can 'shop till you drop'!! I highly recommend this Hotel, it would be the best Hotel I have stayed in :-)
Great little hotel”
i stayed at the skyy hotel twice while receiving treatment at nearby bumrungrad hospital. i was very pleased with the hotel and would certainly stay here again. my room was clean and well appointed, and the hotel staff was helpful and accommodating. the hotel is very convenient if you want quick and easy access to bumrungrad hospital, a five minute walk away (if you walk slowly) but not too much else. the hotel is much better than the furama across the road, and cheaper than the best western next door. internet service in the hotel was slow and not particularly reliable, and the selection of english language channels on television was very limited (who came up with the idea of having fox news as one of the very few news stations at this hotel?!)
Great hotel, inside decor modern, great service”
I really enjoyed this hotel. Its spotless - immaculately maintained. The rooms are very modern and functional, the bed super comfortable, wifi very fast and reliable. It feels like a modern luxury hotel, but without the high end price tag! I was staying there while my dad was getting a surgery done at Bumrangrad Hospital, which is right around the corner, so extremely convenient for anyone coming to the hospital as well. its right off sukhumvit, so plenty of places nearby for shopping and of course massage and spa treatments. I also bought fresh fruits from street vendors right outside - you get half a pinapple or papaya or bunch of mangoes for only 20 baht, and its very clean! Someone mentioned how it was a little weird for single women because of dark elevators and bell boys - the elevator is dark, but the bell boys are ridiculously polite and professional, no reason whatsoever to fear for one's safety. The only problem was, on one evening, the elevators stopped working and we could not find any bell boys around for a while. Hotel should put a process in place that in an emergency, guests have a way to contact the hotel and let them know right away. It was fixed when i got back an hour later though.I would def stay here again.
Good hotel, small rooms”
We stayed at the Skyy hotel for four nights. The location on Sukhumvit Soi 1 was good, just a five minute walk to Phloen Chit BTS station. We had booked a room with a balcony which at first we were not given. However, once we showed the hotel voucher we were 'upgraded' to a different room. The rooms are very modern but really rather small. Our room came with plasma tv, air con, tea and coffee making facilities, an excellent bed and large shower room that unfortunately did not seem capable of delivering consistent hot water. Breakfast was included, it was a buffet and was really rather poor given the hotel's four star rating. If they could sort out the water heating problem and breakfast this would be a really good hotel. That said we would recommend it.
Recommended for those going to Bumrungrad Hospital”
We checked in quickly, and they let us stay an extra half day at half price (though the staff didn't communicate very well with each other about this). The room was small but clean, and very cheap. This was our second time at Skyy, and we like it because its cheap and a five-minute walk around to Bumrungrad Hospital. Great for couples if you're not worried about all the luxuries, just an economical stay that is clean and convenient. We went to nearby malls for Western food and shopping.
I would recommend this hotel”
i enjoyed staying at the skyy hotel. my room was clean and comfortable. the room was small, but adequate for a single person. as a female traveling alone, i felt safe and had no concerns. i would definitely stay her again.
Fabulous new boutique feel hotel, ”
stylish modern hotel in slient location only a few steps from sukhumvit and the bumrungrad hospital. every attention to room facilities has been given, lighting, storage, computer links to flat screen tv, etc. quality linens and nice staff. super secure, you need room key even to leave in the lift ! better than average room safe and door security chain. restaurant a bit pricey with small portions and awful wine and the fabulous grohe thermostatic shower mixer didn't seem to work, so boiling or freezing, but they are very new and i expect will absorb and act on comments. whilst this property does not have any leisure facilities, which in this price bracket is disappointing, i liked it so much that i have booked for 3 more trips.
The staff was the best”
We picked Skyy Hotel for the location because it was very convenient to Bumrungrad Hospital (walked to appointments every day). We were delighted to find out how helpful the staff was in every aspect. They genuinely wanted to care for us. Called for taxis, carried items for us, helped with directions, recommended places to go etc and spoke very good English. Rooms were clean. The deluxe room was very small but adequate. Average breakfast. If you you have appointments at Bumrungrad Hospital, this is a good place to stay.
Great hotel with wonderful breakfast.”
I have a wonderful 2 nights stayed in this hotel on March 2016. Highly recommend this hotel to everyone. One of the best stay in Bangkok! Located in Sukhumvit Soi 1, next to Best Western Premier Sukhumvit Bangkok.
good location but a little pricy”
Skyy hotel is located just next to the Best Western Premier Sukhumvit. Coincidentally, this hotel was newly erected this year, too. My friend and I switched to Skyy due to budget constraint. It's a green hotel as it has energy-saving devices intalled. The lights from the hallways leading to the rooms only come on the moment you step out of the lift. The aircondition shuts down automatically when you oepn the windows in the room. The room we stayed in was clean and brightly lit. It's a little small for the comfort. Though the interior was relatively new, the quality was compromised. I was trapped in the toilet as the lock to the door failed to work. There was no phone in the toilet. Luckily I had my friend to call the front desk for help. The rescue came in less than 10 minutes. Other than this frightening episode, everything else was fine.
Great Central Location”
Our stay at the Skyy Hotel was short but very nice. It has a great location and you are very near shopping, restaurants, and anything else you could need in Bangkok.
Good value and friendly staff”
Skyy is a new hotel, and it provides better value for money than most other hotels within a short walk from Bumrungrad Hospital. The staff is friendly and very helpful, and my room was confortable, spotlessly clean, and well-appointed.
Modern room but not too comfort bed”
Very nice except the bed (little uncomfort). Skyy reception room should be on the 1st floor. It is beautiful inside but one would not know by looking at first floor.
we enjoyed our stay in skyy hotel. short walking distance to ploenchit bts and night life of sukhumvit. rooms are clean. breakfast is substantial but can be improved.
