The place I would stay if i ever go back !”

La Salangane hotel is a very quiet and peaceful place. We were scared at first not to be in the heart of the city center but the hotel is located 10-15 minutes away walking (5 minutes tuktuk). Beach shore right in front of the hotel, the rooms are spacious, clean and the AC was working well. Mary-Ann (the host) is very available, nice and provided very good service (booking island hopping tours, renting motorbikes, etc) Shame there were no more space when we wanted to stay longer ! I highly recommend this hotel !

Beautiful Sunsets”

A nice spacious self catering apartment just outside of El Nido town. It is a little out of the way and please note tricycles will be unable to drop you off at the property. Beautiful sunsets from the hammocks. A lovely place for couples.

All about the view”

If you are looking for a peaceful place that looks out to the sea and want serenity, this place is definitely for you. I was scared due to other’s review about the cleanliness but this place delivers in the cleanliness department. Nice clean sheets and towels. The view for the price is unbeatable. We had a balcony the looks out to the ocean through the foliage of palm and coconut trees whilst lone boats are moored in the distance. The staff are just a text away and are very responsive. As per other’s review on the accessibility, it is true. It’s out of the way. Our remedy for this was renting a scooter (500P/day at MAAMBENG Travel). Granted getting here was a daily adventure due to potholes but for us this makes us appreciate the place more. We even hosted a dinner party! I wanted to give this place a 1 star review to keep it from being popular but in my heart I can’t lie, this is by far one of the best price to quality I have ever stayed in the Philippines.

EXCEPTIONAL!”

Most of the hotels in El Nido are pretty small especially for the price as people aren't really there for a nice hotel room but to explore the beauty of the island. The location is a bit of a walk from the heart of the town but we didn't mind it. At most it was 20 minutes it was a good walk, safe even at night. Renting a scooter is a cheap option for you as well, we really enjoyed exploring the island with it. The room was exceptionally clean and daily serviced by non other than the amazing Miriam. She can help you with everything, from booking trips, renting scooters or any relevant questions that comes to mind. She is also very kind and hospitable. The room was spacious, it had a little kitchen and wooden floors. The bed sheets were daily changed, trash emptied and restroom cleaned... by Miriam. Outside there's a table for you to utilize whether you want to drink there or have dinner. My favorite was the hammock facing the beach! Also Makulay is a dope breakfast spot! :)

Great view of the islands, housekeeper Merriam is very friendly and helpful. Villa is close to the town and airport. For me, I liked that it is a little out of the way to get to and quite. Its has family atmosphere and I hope people going there will treat it that way.

Awful”

Pros: Friendly staff, and a roof over our head during the typhoons. Cons: Everything else. We had an apartment on the ground floor. Our front window had a sea view (nice), our back window had a "view" of the dumpster and accumulated trash and debris (awful), and our side window was against the host's apartment (little privacy). We may have never opened our curtains except for the fact that it was incredibly dark and dank in the room with frequent power outages. This isn't uncommon for El Nido, especially in typhoon season, but most places had a backup generator for this reason. We ended up heading next door often for a drink or a meal, simply for the excuse to be able to charge our phones. Even with the power on, the lights were dim and depressing. I suppose such an uncomfortable place had the unintended advantage of motivating us to be out of the room as much as possible, despite the constant rain during our stay. But coming "home" was always depressing. Stay away... far away.

Location not convenient without shuttle”

Even though location is considered near to town, 20 mins walk, it is considered far if you need to go town frequently to eat and buy things. This BnB only provide free shuttle for checking in and out, other time will be charged at 50 peso per trip while the rest of the hotels/BnBs nearby all provided free unlimited shuttle. The phone number listed on Agoda is incorrect so we can’t contact the BnB to provide shuttle when we check in. It is 1 km distance to the BnB from the main road and no transport can go to the hotels/BnBs in the area except for their own shuttle service. We had to struggle with our luggage and luckily another hotel’s tricycle came by and is willing to send us to our BnB for free! Subsequently we got the correct contact no. from the reception Maryann but it is almost impossible to reach her. She don’t pick up calls, few times we have to ask other hotel tricycles to fetch us when we see them, else we will have to walk back. Walking back, we’ll have to pass by a cemetery so it can be very creepy at night with limited lights. I will not recommend this BnB to anyone.

Perfect place close enough to the city centre”

The place is walking distance to the city centre (if you are a fan of walking like me) . not crowded and with your own view of the sea. Wifi was not working when we came but we didn't mind. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

far and no proper service to go in and out of caalan”

the place was so far. we tried calling the number they put in agoda but its not working. so ended up riding a trike but just from the port to that laly abet cost you 100 pesos the trike said you only need to walk more than 5 mins cos only small trike can get in that small entrance to caalan. but it was a lie! at least you have to walk 20 mins and you have to pass in a cemetery it can be hard if its raining its so muddy. service they have only for 2 person so if other guest will take it you have to wait 40 mins minimum. we told the caretaker we have to check out early as we have to go coron and ship leave at 6am. we agreed 5:30 pick up but we keep waiting no service had to woke her up and then she called the service ended up leave there at 6am. and feel so sorry for the driver cos his trike just broke down and we forgot to say thank you for all his effort. we ended up again begging from montenegro crew to let us board as we were 15 mins late. if you stay here just remind the caretaker and maybe wake her up at 5am to be sure if you have to catch 6am boat.

Lovely quiet apartments just outside of El Nido town ”

We had a few hiccups when we first arrived due to typhoon rain which left us unable to reach the apartment (the dirt road to get to it was flooded), but luckily La Salangane were able to put us in a room in their other hotel and then took us to the apartment the following day. The apartments are a 20 minute walk to El Nido town or they provide a trike to take you to and from - be warned though, the journey is a bit hairy!! The view from the apartments is lovely and Marianne was really helpful and helped us book a trip, motorbike and trike to the airport.

Quiet place 10 minutes from town on beach”

Nice staff, peacefull rest, good place to sleep then go on adventure, free ride to town, will have rental motorbike delivered to your room 600p day. No food near by, have kettle for coffee and noodles

Perfect place!”

This is the most amazing place you could stay in El Nido! The Vila is really not too far away from the city, I would say about 10-15 minutes by walking, and while staying there you can feel that the place belongs to you! Of course it was in our case as we were a group of friends that had rented 3 out of 4 rooms. However, even if renting only one room, the place is still quite private. And the view to the sea that the Vila has is just something unbelievable! The housekeeper was a really friendly and nice person and she did everything that our stay would be as comfortable as possible. One small thing was that the shower didn't have any water pressure, but it does not matter when you live in such place. To add, there is a barbecue so you can buy fresh meat/fish and vegetables ant the market and have an amazing evening in the Vila. One thing to bear in mind is that you will have to pay extra money for extra mattress if you want to stay 3 people in the room.

Peaceful, fully equipped apartment, better sunset than in El Nido”

10 minutes walk from El Nido. Clean, spacious and fully-equipped appartment, proper bathroom. 2 Hammocks and small tables on the front to witness one the best sunset in El Nido. Housekeeper is incredibly nice. Hard to get a better deal in El Nido (fyi, we also stayed 2 nights at Kalinga Beach Resort and 2 nights at Ingrids Inn so we can make a comparison).

Nice apartment, away from El Nido town”

Spacious apartment with big shower, constant hot water, kitchenware, noisy, but working a/c. Mind that it is located In Calaan Beach, so 30 min walk/10 min drive from El Nido town proper, but it is also away from the noise and dirt. Apartments also have a nice garden with tables and hammocks and incredible view to the sea - perfect if you want to have a chill out day. The resort also has a free tricycle to take you anywhere you need. The staff is very helpful. Would definitely stay again when visiting El Nido.

Shaded retreat”

We only stayed two nights due to availability but would have stayed longer. For the price, the apartment is one of the most spacious we've had in the Philippines and the surrounding area is perfect. Hammocks and chairs dotted between Palm trees in a well kept garden. A great view of the bay and Cadlao island with waves lapping right up to the front. Ideal retreat, far away enough from the noise of El Nido but only a 10 minute walk.

A little outside the town, but quiet, comfortable”

The stay was very good. We spent days from morning till night exploring beaches and lagoons and wanted a quiet place to sleep at night on budget. This place is exactly what we wanted: away from town, clean room, hot water in a shower, kitchenette (we prepared our own breakfast), comfortable beds. A staff (I'm sorry for not remembering the name) cleaned out our room every day and even washed dishes. The only minus - it takes ~ 15 minutes walking to the town or you can take a tricycle. Would definitely recommend to people who are not looking for anything fancy, but rather good cozy place on budget.

Clean, quite rooms”

Spacious, clean apartment with own kitchen. Bed was ok, hot shower! Beautiful quite location at the beach, it is pretty distant (20 min walk to town) though and there's almost no transport possible to the apartment, the place doesn't have a restaurant or breakfast avalaible, but own kitchen is available. Bad wifi, bad understanding of English what made seem that lady wasn't to helpful. No mosquitonet in room.

Overall ok for the price. You can cook and the place is spacious. But its very far from the town, in our case we rented a motorcycle for our whole stay to get around the town. And theres an issue with privacy because the window is very clear and the curtain is see-through so we can be seen outside. Nevertheless its worth the price and the care taker Meriam is helpful.

I had a tour on my last day,and ask if I can have a late check out . The reception said yes one day before, but then, they said I couldn't have it on the D day
